Buffalo Trace East Parking Lot

I'm amazed how many trails there are to explore! We literally find a new wooden "bridge" every time we go into the woods. The prairie part is beautiful too!

Great place for hiking with kids. I love the log bridges.

What a great park! You might be underwhelmed at first by the smallish parking lot, but there are miles of trails to walk, run or bike. The grassy trails are very wide and well kept. Lots of trees and shade or wide open fields. I'm sure we only scratched the surface of what this place has to offer. Even has his and her bathrooms in the parking lot.

Buffalo Trace is a prairie preserve restoration, great for photographing wildflowers and butterflies in high summer. Nice wide surfaced trail is shared by hikers, bikers & joggers alike.

The ideal place to park for a run or hike around Buffalo Trace, especially because of the year-round (as far as I can tell) heated restroom facilities.

Great park with lots of walking trails, biking trails and more. The parking lot is misleading with not a lot of parking, but it is a great place.

Good for cross country skiing when there is snow of course.

I really like this park, and it is a really nice place to run.
