Old Herald Brewery & Distillery

We love coming to the old herald. They have concerts outside in the summer in the new outdoor stage area.

One thing we keep coming back for is their Sunday brunch. It’s buffet style and they always have a nice selection of food. They don’t always offer Sunday brunch so make sure you double check before you go.

They just opened a holiday pop up bar in their event room. It was fun and I believe it was their first time doing it. I liked the festive drink menu.

Something else I need to mention is their onion rings . Usually when I get onion rings from somewhere, I bite into it and the onion slides out of the breading. The onion rings at the old herald don’t do this and they were delicious!

Finally, they have a delicious Bloody Mary! I always get one during the horseradish festival.

All the workers are very sweet.

Excellent whiskey and vodka distillery in Collinsville. The Old Herald is their Old Fashioned made with their own bourbon and it is excellent. They also make an Old Fashioned with tequila and it is very good. The Cuban sandwich was great and the burgers are top notch. The loaded fries are also delicious.

Sat at the bar and had a great time. Russel is a great bartender and more. He is creating an entire new drink menu and very unique and great cocktails! We were there celebrating a 21st bday and he added to the fun evening.

We LOVE the private room at Old Herald Brewery for hosting events. We have had the pleasure of installing/decorating this venue with balloons on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Our clients have also commented on how easy the venue is to work with and how accommodating they are to their vision for the event. As a local vendor, we have had nothing but great experiences here. We would definitely recommend choosing Old Herald for your next private party!

We had a surprise birthday party here Friday night. The staff went above and beyond helping us get the room ready. Ashley was our server for the evening and she was amazing!! We had a large group, but she was friendly and smiling the whole evening. The food was great and the atmosphere exceptional!

Normally I’m not the kind of person to leave reviews, but the service I received was beyond phenomenal. Not only was were we quickly seated, but we had the most spectacular waitress, Maddie. Maddie is truly for the team. Not only did she serve just with kindness and patience, but she treated all other tables the same, along with her co-workers. A true team player!! The food was mouth watering and delivered with haste. While the food was delicious, truly what made the experience was Maddie. I’ll be sure to come back and visit her soon. Hopefully she’ll be kind enough to serve me again.

We drove 40 miles on a day off to check out Old Herald Brewery, and they did not disappoint. I wish right now they were located near us because I'd go back today. Not only were the beers good and the food, but the service was outstanding. Great work ethic in this place! The fact they brew their beer and their liquors, make their own wing sauces the quality of the whole menu really stand outs. I'm looking forward to another day off to drive out their.

Best experience ever, very nice customer service. Food was great I recommend the Caribbean citrus salad . Environment was nice too and live music was great. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Old Herald Brewery & Distillery was sooo good! I ordered the Pork Belly Tacos, Brewer’s Loaded Fries (to share), and my boyfriend had the margarita flatbread. Everything tasted amazing and I left learning that I could add my pickled onions onto my tacos for future reference! 😋 🌮

Decided to dine in here with my family on this rainy Sunday and I gotta say it was a good choice. We got our table almost immediately and really a made welcome by the host Kate and our server Maddie. There weren’t that many people at the time so we got served food pretty fast. I personally got the margarita flatbread by Maddie’s recommendation . It came out fresh and was totally unexpectedly good. I would definitely come back soon and personally request Maddie as my waitress because my kids love her.

Anna was fabulous in helping us make our choice for a flight. Anna & Jennifer made us some fabulous cocktails as you can see by the pictures. Nice to meet Cory, brewmaster & Derrick the owner. Were able to bring home a case of fabulous spirits. So surprised at the barrel aged agave, a must to try. Can't wait for the 12 barrels at Christmas. We will be back. Thank you all for making it a wonderful evening.

I don’t normally leave a review but for this I just had to. I think our waitress’s name was Maddie and she was one of the most exceptional waitresses I’ve ever had! She not only was very kind and generous, but was also very fast with everything as well. It was almost like she knew everything we needed and read our minds! Not to mention, the food was delicious. I definitely plan on coming back and bringing the family too!

Excellent service. I had a late lunch. The portions are generous. The Koolsch beer is very light and delicious. Not bitter. I had a 4 ounce pour in a glass that I kept-$5. The waiter was kind enough to wash and sanitize it when I was finished.
The pretzel was huge and the beer cheese was "like crack" according to my friend. The popcorn with bacon was yummy!! The pork rinds were delicious-light and crunchy.
The vegetarian flatbread was cheesy and fresh. My friend had the beef tip risotto. Wow. Creamy risotto with tender beef. The gravy was on the side per her request. Delicious. Bravo! You have to try this place. They are redoing the menu so it is not on their website.

One of my favorite places to dine. Highly recommend!

Getting Better. Old Herald Brewer & Distillery started with a lot of positives and has evolved, getting better all the time. Everyone can find faults and recommend ways that the businesses can be better and management probably realizes most of the little problems. Old Herald evolves and we celebrate that. It is fun to see what they do next and keeps us coming back. Yes, some of the stuff we miss and hope it comes back, all we can do is say what we like and what we don't like.... Like the tiny plate for their awesome Chicken & Waffles, or that Old Heralds unique "Coalsch" beer, a cousin to the German Kolsch Beer, is no longer on the beer menu. BUT! There are several unique and awesome mixed drinks that everyone who enjoys mixed drinks should investigate. They change stuff so fast that their web site can't keep up, but it seems the Facebook page does. I hope they keep up the good work!

Was looking for a nice place to eat & I came across this restaurant. It was delicious, I was greeted and sat by Kate I believe was her name but my waitress Maddie was outstanding!!!! She was always checking on our table and tried her very best the wntire time I was there. She did a great job and honestly will be the reason I come back in the future, Maddie deserves a raise because my goodness !!!!

This place was awesome. Staff was great. Got a little rain while out on the patio and moved right in. Food was delicious. Can't wait until the open the alcohol ice cream bar they have on location.

Man, let me tell you about this waitress, Maddie, she was absolutely incredible! She had the friendliest personality and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dining experience. Her attention to detail was top notch. I’ll be returning just to have her again!

i was having such a bad day before i came into Old Herald Brewery and Distillery in the heart of quaint little Collinsville. Kudos to my server Maddie, she instantly brightened my mood! Great food, great atmosphere, and the best servers!
