Docks Bar & Grill

I stopped in for a quick bite to eat at lunch. It wasn’t too busy since it was pushing 2:30, I sat at the bar and had great service by the bartender. You can tell a lot of regulars come here, lots of very friendly people stopping in and it made me feel at home.

Really pretty views out the bay windows of the lake. I bet warm summer afternoons here are amazing.

Ordered an iced tea, burger and fries. The burger was a tad well done but the meat still had great flavor. The Thousand Island dressing I got on the side was definitely bottled so not my favorite, but the fries were seasoned well :)

I’ll be back soon to try something different next time… and a cocktail.

Wow! We stopped by for a snack because we wanted a view of the lake and enjoy a snack. This establishment blew away our expectations! We each had an ice water and split a veggie burger. Our food server Jose was friendly and without us asking had the kitchen staff split the burger and fries and brought us 2 plates. The burger was fresh and the crinkle cut fries were delicious. We got to sit by the window with a great view of the lake! A great experience and only $17 including the over $4 tip I left. We didn't stay long being it was a quick snack stop and I know how it is for food servers needing to flip tables for small orders, I've done the job in my past. Thanks so much for a wonderful dining experience and Jose deserves a raise for his attentive service!

I took my wife here for the first time because she is a total "water baby" and I wanted her to enjoy a gorgeous view with our quick lunch. Our visit exceeded our expectations in every way! We split the nacho platter and I ordered fries. The nachos could easily feed 5+ people and were a melty, messy plate of deliciousness (I highly recommend you go all in and get the pulled pork on them). They give you a side dish of sour cream and guac that wasn't the usual measly tiny cups- It was plenty of topping for the nachos. They also serve some sort of magical salsa that is one of the best we've ever had! The fries were not your run-of-the-mill soggy bar fries either- They have an extra crispy coating that is crazy good. Our server, Jess, was nothing short of phenomenal! She was fun, friendly, and on top of everything we needed throughout our entire meal. She is a true asset to this establishment. Such a great experience and only $30 for so much food, including drinks and tip! We snagged a spot by the window and enjoyed stunning lake views that can't be beat. I bet this place is really fun at night and even more so in the summer- We plan to come back during sunset for a romantic dinner soon (and will definitely ask for Jess)!

It’s a great venue with a really nice location (right by the water). Everyone there is super nice as well including both employees and customers! While it’s not directly on the water, it’s very close and you get easy access to it anyway.

My wife and i sat at the bar. Bartender Jackie took great care of us. She was very friendly and funny. She made our lunch a pleasant one. We'll definitely be coming back. Love the Mai tai's!

My friend and I visited Docks this evening and we had a great time. I need to shout out Gina for being an amazing server! She greeted us at the host stand, sat us, and also ended up being our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond. My friend and I got the cheese curds and split a grilled cheese with pickles and some fries on the side. Honestly the food hit the spot so hard, I couldn't think of a better meal in that moment. Not to mention, this restaurant has the best ranch dressing I have ever had. I asked our server, Gina, if I could have a lid for the condiment cup to take our ranch to go, and she made my night by offering to grab me an additional cup of ranch to take with me. 10/10 recommend! Thank you Gina!

Five star all around, a little far from where I live but worth every drive. We come here often and enjoy it very much. Food and service are great but the view and atmosphere is amazing.

Premier dining on a deck overlooking Bangs Lake. The service was attentive, prompt, and friendly, & the food was spot-on. The beer was cold & refreshing too.

The patio outside it’s great for an evening call One he has a beautiful view of the lake at the sunset the waitress are very nice the tiki bar is well-stocked and the food is acceptable on the weekends they have rock ‘n’ roll bands that play all night I would like to come back 10-17-2021.
I came back again on Easter Sunday, 2023. Luckily the place was not too full and we were able to sit at the bar. I order the shrimp to peel, for the first time, and it was delicious, as well as economic I would recommend to anyone again!

My employer organized the Xmas party there. The rented space was amazing: clean, elegant, nicely decorated, and with a lovely view over Bangs Lake. The food was delicious.
We had a lovely experience, and most likely will go back next year.

Nice relaxing place. Lunch was great. Thick, cool and fresh. Service was what you would expect. Attentive but not pushy. Good background music. Looking to forward to coming back some evening or weekend night!

Our server Graciela was truly wonderful and we chose to eat the weekend specials which consisted of Red snapper and prime rib and the French onion soup had Sherry in it which was just delicious ……..we three had a great experience at Docks in Wauconda

Always a great spot when the sun comes out. Food is always great. Prices are a bit high, but you are paying for the view. Pretty good people watching too! Swing by Docks, you won’t be disappointed!

This is one of my favorite places excellent food and love the bar. Can't wait for warm weather the outside views are amazing.

You can customize your burger or patty melt! The beef is amazing and we would go there again! Was told the Cole slaw and turkey sandwich was great as well. The French onion soup had more of a herbal taste than strong onion flavor.

Always a good time with excellent food and service! You can bring your dog to the outdoor dining on the lake. Highly recommend!!

Fun time with the Band Insession. The food was great and the drinks were heavy. I had the strawberry chicken salad and I would order this every time. The band was great and made the evening just fly by. My friends got the BBQ pork sandwich and they raved all night about the sandwich.

OMG I had lunch while working (Paving parking lot) that burger wS EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The staff were all friendly. I will definitely be back again

Even though I live in Wauconda, I am not a regular customer at Dock’s Bar and Grill because of the busy schedule and I wish I could go more often, especially in the summertime. The view is spectacular and the service at the Tiki Bar is prompt most of the time considering the short-staff issue now across the service industry.
I was here the last time on July 3rd to see the fireworks, my friends and I dined inside since it was completely filled with other customers outside and the wait time to get a table was about three hours. No big deal. We still had a good time inside and then went outside for the fireworks.
The only issue I had that night is a mix-up with the bills and I was erroneously charged twice by the bartender. I went back to and talked to the manager, and then got a friendly phone call from Sheila, who fixed that billing error for me and apologized for the mistake made.
My favorite dish here is Saganaki.

The service was very good, and the employees were all friendly.
The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. 🙂
