Some people want to know what's in stock before showing up. I am always impressed with the large selection packed into the small shop. Fair prices. My favorite local gunshop! I always buy locally from him whenever possible. His prices are amazing, even beating online retailers most of the time. He takes great pains to keep his website up to date with his available inventory and it is a great resource. It's a small shop run by a single man, so temper your expectations and be patient when it comes to timing- he's a busy man but he will do everything he can to serve you. Come in with the right attitude and a love of guns and you will always leave happy!

Fred happens to be a one man band. That being said it only takes a couple of customers to keep him kinda busy. I am new to the area and really have no ties to any of the local shops. I recently traded in a few old collectors grade pistols I had sitting in my safe forever. I was happy with Fred's numbers on my trades. The best prices and best selection of pistols of any gun store for counties around, which is impressive given the small size of the shop! The owner is friendly and helpful. Did I mention you can't beat his prices? Most times, it's lower than ordering online and paying the transfer fee at my local FFL. Do yourself a favor and check him out.
PS, his is the only gun store I've been to where the owner treats you as nicely during a 200 dollar purchase as he would a 2 thousand dollar one.

I have shopped at so many gun stores in Maine.. And made many purchases at them. Well no more Allsports and Fred have by far the best prices of any gun store around.. Always has a excellent selection, Fred the owner is very nice and easy to get along with. Also very knowledgeable of the current firearms situation in the United States. This is my gun shop. No matter what I will travel to go there ( 25-30 mins). Only issue for me is.. There not open right now.. There is a RUGER SR-22 sitting there with my name on it.. So see you tomm. I'm coming to pick up my gun! And thank you for not ripping us purchasers off!

Fred at Allsport performance is my go to guy for all my firearms related needs. Great selection, willing to order anything not in stock. Informative, up to date website with the best pricing anywhere. He will beat any quoted price and is a super guy to deal with.
Another important thing to remember is he gives fair trade in prices on your used guns. He is not out to get rich of one sale, he is in it for the long run and his prices and attitude reflect that. Take a ride to Hermon, you will be glad you did.

I can tell you that Fred has the best selection and price around. Other than the physical shop size, you'd never guess he's a small business. Very helpful, professional, and courteous.

How many places can you walk in and actually deal directly with the owner? Not many. Fred takes his business seriously and goes above and beyond.

To the others who have complained about Fred's business practices: I'd rather have the salesman who pays attention to the customer in person during all aspects of the sale, versus the salesman who's continually on the the phone, talking with a person who potentially may never step foot in the storefront. Fred gives customers multiple options to check his inventory and contact him otherwise.

Great service, very professional store. Owner answered all my questions and was very friendly. Nice selection of pistols and rifles + accessories. Prices are very fair. Would recommend. To all those complaining about some calls not being answered, etc... it is one guy running the whole show, and he treats the customer he is with as the priority.

I've gotten 3 things from him so far and he's the man.
He's a one man show working hard to get to everyone and I have the utmost respect for that cause I've been in that position and it isn't easy.
The shop is small and because of covid it's a 2 person limit, but thats fine by me, ill take my business there because it's an experience (if you look around and take notice to things). Plus the owner is super easy and fun to talk to.

I have conducted business at this gun shop on numerous occasions, and I feel that the owner operates this business Very Personable, and Professional. I have experienced great customer service and have seen other customers also treated with the upmost respect and courtesy by the owner. this may be a small shop, But the owner acknowledges everybody as they enter the shop and like any business, it sometimes gets a little busy, but he will accommodate and help any potential customer as soon as he can. as with Any Gun shop, filling out the forms and "back ground checks" are time consuming, patience and understanding and courtesy are necessary with any FFL Gun shop that you choose to do business with, if you also have had good customer service and like this shop, tell your friends and relatives,

Allsport's prices on guns and ammo are the best I've found in the region, and Fred, the owner, is helpful and communicative. Their gun storefront on Davidson's has prices that meet or beat any other shop in the area, and they have a good selection in the shop. They offer a huge variety of sporting goods too, not just guns. I'll be going there from now on.
