Bogusha's Polish Restaurant & Deli

Simply FANTASTIC authentic polish food in a tiny, hole-in-the-wall restaurant/store. I felt like I was in Poland. Go in with the right mindset and attitude, pretending you are visiting Poland, and you will love it. But, go in expecting the atmosphere of some American chain restaurant with attentive table service and all the bells and whistles and you'll be disappointed. The charm and authenticity of this place, complete with the adorable, kerchief-wearing, thick accent, polish woman who owns the place, is unmatched.

Go! The Polish Platter is a winner, the Bigos is phenomenal. Both of us enjoyed our meals.

You may have to park around the corner but the walk is worth it.

I have eaten a lot of Polish food in my life, because of my Grandma (and growing up in Michigan). We stopped in last night to try it out on Valentines day, and it was fantastic. I think some of the best polish food I have ever had. We will be back!

So delicious! I’d been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Got the Polish Platter so I could taste multiple items and all were so yummy! I will be back!

Bless this Maine gem. Was raised with a polish background in Chicago as a kid and live in the sticks up by Bangor now. I come down to Portland semi often and will stop by each time from now. Great legit home cooked Polish food in a cozy environment. 11/10

I've lived in Portland my whole life and can't believe I've passed by this place so often and never stopped in to try it before now. Fantastic food!! You can't beat the price and it came out quickly too! Super cozy atmosphere and the owner has a bunch of other polish snacks/foods/drinks that you can buy as well. I had the golabki and it was so filling. I couldn't even finish it but it was so good. Definitely will be coming back to this hidden gem.

The food was Amazing!!! Pierogies were handmade, light and delicious. Polish sampler was perfect an great portion. This place is a little slice of Poland nestled in Portland.. I would definitely recommend!!!

A genuine Polish deli with a nice variety of Pierogi. The blueberry and cheese Pierogi are fantastic. They have lots of fun treats like Vodka filled confections too.

First visit today and worth the 1 1/2 hr trip! Small and friendly and took home some pierogis and bunch of goodies.
Wow understand husband runs the great donut shop in Damariscotta which will be on our radar as we live close buy.

Great spot during our visit to Portland! We ordered the Polish platter, pierogies, and potato pancakes. Our favorite was the platter - delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again!

Best Polish food in New England. The best people running the shop. I am not from the city but was so impressed that this will be a daily stop when I'm up North. Could not possible recommend more. They are the best.

I'm from upstate NY and we always had Kielbasa Christmas morning. I can't tell you how excited I was to find this little gem. I love this place. They are so kind and they sound just like my granpa and his sister. I feel like I'm home. I come home with so treats when I go here.

Great Polish food & groceries. She doesn't dumb it down just because she's the only game in town. You can sometimes get frozen things to take home from here. The dining area is tiny so bring your friends 1 or 2 at a time.

This is a wonderful establishment. You go in and there is a very nice polish woman to help you with whatever you need. So many wonderful products. I'm the back room you can see the ladies making the BEST PEROGIES from scratch. They are delish!!! I make a point of visiting once a month

Bogusha's is a wonderful place. The owner made sure that we had a great meal. Roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravey and even cabbage with kielbasa. She is great.

Wonderful, homemade food in a cozy small space. Interesting grocery items, cold case with sausage, cheese, etc and a freezer full of goodies to take home. There are only three small tables, though, so if you have a group of friends who want to eat there, call ahead. But go soon!
