Love the atmosphere of this place!!! The restaurant and the stunning view of the sea make the experience even more unique! I loved the broiled haddock and the steamed clams! Will definitely come back in the summer to see the view once again! And to try a different dish, of course!

If you are in Portland you go to Luke's. You will not find a better lobster roll. The haddock bites were very crispy but huge flavor. Of the view is spectacular.

Lukes is at the end of the pier.

Can't wait to go back.

If you want the best, freshest lobster this is your place! When I say the lobster is fresh, I mean it is FRESH! I've had lobster rolls before, but never like this.
I, along with two other members of the group ordered the lobster roll flight. Shut the front door! They have ruined me on ever being able to fully enjoy lobster in Louisiana. The truffle butter roll had such a perfect subtle truffle flavor that just kicked the roll up a notch. The lemon butter roll was just classic. Perfect flavor that really highlighted the sweetness of the lobster. The spicy honey butter roll was also impressive. It was not spicy, but it had a tiny little kick. It was just the right amount to not overpower the flavor of the lobster.
We also ordered the Haddock bites, steamed clams, and smoked pollock dip to start off. The haddock bites were perfectly battered, and the fish was white, flakey and cooked to perfection. I could have eaten the whole order by myself they were so good. I am very funny about fish and seafood. If it isn't fresh I just can't do it. THIS STUFF IS FRESH! The smoked pollock dip.....Damn! It was so good. I could have eaten that on a roll! It was served with bagel chips, which was great, but they could easily use that dip for one of their rolls. Now, I am not a big clam person. I typically don't eat it. The steamed clams were pretty good, although the rest of the group disagreed and said they were great.
The beer selection was really good, and the beers were nice and cold. I ordered the Sea Smoke, which is one of their signature drinks. It was perfect for warming up a little since it was so cold. Bonus, each purchase of this drink gives $1 to Luke's student lobstering mentorship program! I absolutely love this!
The views from the restaurant are simply beautiful. We really enjoyed that while we had lunch. Service was great, as well. Our server even humored us and went out on the cold deck to take a group pic for us.
If I lived anywhere near Luke's they would get sick of me! Definitely a must if you are in the area looking for great lobster!

Right on the water really great service and food. Highly recommended. We got there right before closing and they treated as if we had been the first customers of the day. I didn't think I would find a Gluten Friendly Lobster Roll to try while I was in Maine. Not only did I find one but the bread was top notch! I wish I would have asked the brand. Fantastic food and environment. Will definitely visit on my next trip.

Really fun place. Great views from wherever you sit and the lobster roll was fantastic. Coming from an actual Mainer. I will definitely bring visitors here again.

Food was quick and delicious. One employee took the time to show our daughter some live lobsters before we were seated. Amazing view from the upstairs dining area. We think we even spotted a seal out in the harbor while we ate. Lobster roll, burger, muscles, beers everything was on point. Great spot! Hope to be back many more times.

Food was excellent! Spicy lobster roll was the best along with the lobster BLT! Definitely stop here. It was busy but you can wait for the upstairs bar and bar tables for quicker service. Great atmosphere right on the water.

We decided to visit here based upon the reviews. A lot of people say it's the best lobster roll they've ever had. While it was good, and there was certainly a lot of lobster in the roll, it wasn't creamy enough for me. There wasn't very much mayo and the bun needed to be buttered more. But this is just my opinion. If you like your lobster roll plain with just a touch of mayo, but lots of lobster, this is your place.

Great views sitting out on the patio. Lobster roll was delicious! Also had the haddock bites, which were fine but lacked flavor in the breading. I wouldn’t order these again. But I’d come back for the lobster roll and view!

Gavin our waiter was outstanding. I will say we got drinks from the bartender upstairs while we waited for our table and she was not entirely welcoming. Two out of the 3 beers we ordered were having tap issues and she really just didn’t care if we ordered something else or not. Didn’t offer up similar suggestions or anything. Just odd for a bartender that only had 2 other people sitting at her bar. But again, once we sat down, Gavin was great and made up for it! Expect to wait for a table.

Next time I’m gonna be at Portland, I’ll definitely choose Luke’s Lobster! The stuff was very friendly and there was a nice view from the pier. Lobsters were delicious and reasonably priced. What I liked most was lobster roll! All my family was in love not only with the lobster, but with the bun! It tasted like it was freshly baked here (it was buttery and a little bit crunchy)!
And they are dog friendly!

The food is excellent. The staff are amazing. Dog friendly! I travel with my basset hound. Not only did we get a table, our waiter brought out a bowl of water for my dog along with my water.
I ordered the spicy lobster roll with fries. Fantastic meal. It’s definitely worth stopping in. Thanks Luke’s!

A must visit! What a beautiful place out on the pier. Great water views and spectacular food! I couldn’t decide between the lobster roll, so decided to get the trio and try them all !

Voted best waterfront restaurant and living up to the reputation.

Excellent view, delicious and fresh seafood, and friendly service. We are in seafood heaven.

For the two of us, we had steamed clams, clam chowder, and the trio (lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls).

The steamed clams was the best, of the trio, the lobster roll was the the best.

I got the lobster bisque soup, clams and the mikes hot honey lobster roll. Everything was superb! The lobster bisque had just the right flavor. The clams were sooo fresh and the lobster roll was very satisfying. It was stuff with so much lobster and the roll was so buttery. The mikes hot honey was is a great addition to the sandwich. It's not that hot. I recommend getting the hot honey with the roll. Rosie was a great server.

Great food definitely worth the stop. I had the whole lobster. Nice local IPA too. It was the first time I had a whole lobster and I will say I was thankful I had the bib and my glasses on. A little pricey but felt it was worth it.

We had a phenomenal experience here at Luke’s Lobster. The service was friendly, the aesthetic and views were beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious. Perfect dinner to start off our first visit to Maine. Pretty decent appetizers. We had the calamari and fried whole belly clams. The New England clam chowder was pretty good. We also really liked the broiled haddock. The lobster rolls are to die for, especially the one with the hot honey. The trio is a great option as well because you get a lobster roll, crab roll, and a shrimp roll. Food is pricey but to be expected since everything is so fresh and delicious. Would one hundred percent recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Just be ready for a bit of a wait. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was about an hour wait.

Now for my standard comments. Location was very clean and well kept. Tables are decently distanced too.

We really liked the fresh lobsters. One large lobster cost $50. The restaurant keeps live lobsters in tanks. Very good service and a beautiful view of the harbor. Will definitely go back there.

Friendly service and delicious food! We were looking for a lunch spot after marathon and knew we had to have a lobster roll while in the area. The area was busy with a few cruise ships at port, but we were able to get a few seats at the bar. Keely was very friendly and attentive. The lobsters rolls and chips were fantastic and the drinks were a nice addition. Other than the cruise ship folk just being a little extra (not restaurants problem) it was a great experience

The best lobster roll I ever ate! Huge chunks of lobster with butter. Fried haddock sandwich was large. Cocktails well made. Excellent view of the water. They catch their own lobster right there. Pleasant service. Highly recommend!

Amazing food. Service was a little patchy. The lobster sells by market price -but on the day we went, it was $45 for a 1.5 pounder with 2 sides. I couldn’t help but note the lobster roll was a WAY better deal -more meat and while it was still a little pricey, it was cheaper than the lobster meal. The potato salad was really good!
