Can’t say enough good things about this special gem. Came into traverse city for work and was seeking a memorable meal. Wren delivered. The food, the vibe, the staff - just wow. A true example of farm to fork and culinary excellence. As a person from the east coast (yes I’m a snob) who has high food expectations, this place beat them 10x over. I will be back and I will always remember this meal.

P.s - get yourself a personal cheese board. Worth it. And converse with Hannah the bartender, she’s spectacular.

We come back every summer for the best dining experience in Leelanau County. They take reservations by phone up to one month in advance. We did the tasting menu with wine, and added the duck entree. Some of the plate presentations looked less appealing this year, but flavors were excellent. The staff is well educated and each person touched our table at least once. Highly recommend!

Without a doubt one of best, most exciting and creative dining experiences in Northern Michigan. Chef Adam is very talented and knows how to bring bold and unique flavors to the table. Local ingredients paired w many different ethnic spices and styles. Highly recommend. Still drooling over this whole meal... The squash 🤤🤤🤤.

Cool, unsuspecting restaurant. Had the tasting menu. The soup was excellent, and the walleye didn't disappoint either. Wasn't very fond of the dessert but to each their own. Bar tender/server was a nice guy who was enthusiastic about the food and drinks. With 3 tasting menus ordered in our party I expected the chef to come out and say hello. As a chef for the last 20 years this is the best fine dining meal I have had in the Grand Traverse area. Highly recommended.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Northern Michigan. Every time we've gone in for dinner, we have been blown away. Exceptional cocktails and selection of wine. Have not ordered a dish we didn't love. One of our go to restaurants, because we know we will leave satisfied.

On a recent trip to the Leelanau Peninsula, my husband and I dined at Wren for the first time and were very impressed. This small, cozy restaurant has so much charm, from the historic building to the warm and friendly staff, we were made to feel right at home.

Everything on the menu appealed to us, which made it very difficult to decide what to order. When we return, we will definitely try the tasting menu. We were very pleased with each course, but felt dessert came up a bit short. Our favorites included the octopus, beets and whitefish.

Service at Wren was top-notch. Our server was helpful, prompt and friendly.

Overall, we were so pleased to find a special restaurant to fill the hole that formed when Alliance closed several years ago. If you are in the Traverse City vicinity, the short drive up to Sutton's Bay will take you to one of the best dining experiences in the area!

Was in the area on vacation and found Wren randomly. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Staff was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Food blew away my expectations. I did the chef's tasting and every course was well executed. Visual and taste experience was outstanding. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful experience at the Wren last weekend. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on. The cocktails were delicious and a wonderful precursor to our dinner. Two of us had the excellent walleye and the third had the pork loin. We started with several appetizers and all agreed the Brussels sprouts were a standout. Yes, we had desserts and they were excellent. Great atmosphere. We will definitely come again.

We love the fact that there's a new addition to the restaurant scene in the area. The food was delicious and presentation was creative. Their pumpkin soup is to die for! If there was one thing we would improve, it would be to use less salt on the dishes. Okay maybe one more thing - the duck was also absolutely delicious with a crispy skin , but maybe a little too dry. Otherwise the meal was amazing!

Thoughtful and delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with warm and heartfelt service. We had been looking forward to coming here for months and now anticipate coming back to dine with even more excitement! The wine list is small, but well curated and reasonably priced with some great food wines from around the globe. The cocktail list looks worth a visit alone (while we shared a bottle of pinot we heard our neighbors squeeling over their cocktails). The menu is local, seasonal, sustainably-focused and just plain fun with so many different flavors and techniques from accros the globe. Thank you to chef Adam and crew for curating such a special experience, we left feeling both full and inspired!

Delish!! Made our reservation a few days before heading up north and were easily accommodated. This food was so yummy, the drinks are fantastic, and the service was friendly and attentive. We ended up each getting the pre-course with wine pairing. Each dish was so tasty... Highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try different menu items! 😊

This is a small restaurant with a limited menu prepared by an experienced Chef. We chose the tasting menu which was a beautifully presented 5 course meal that was outstanding. It was very expensive ($80) but worth the experience for a special occasion. Reservations are recommended as there is limited seating

Best meal I’ve had in Traverse City. The wine pairing three course meal was so thoughtfully put together. Staff is knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Staff went above and beyond to call me and ask where I’d prefer to sit (inside or out) and made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. Highly recommend the gazpacho.

Excellent service, high quality food that is second to none. We were served additional drinks for our birthday celebration and the children were given their choice between two desserts since they did not have the tasting menu. I highly recommend the tasting menu, but honestly anything on the menu is delicious.

Out dinner was outstanding, with patio seating and a perfect and summer evening. The town slows down around 7, so we got a quiet evening outside. Our servers (at least 3) were generous and kind, we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary, and even dessert on the house.
Chef Alex really outdid himself tonight, the steak was perfectly cooked, plus a couple of surprises to accompany. My wife ordered the scallops and those were outstanding as well.
Really, it is worth our 3 hour drive to dine at this gem of a restaurant. Absolutely recommended!!

The entire dinner was Incredible! The cucumber salad was fantastic and the scallops were cooked perfectly! The flavors were wonderful. The most fantastic part was the basil ice cream. It blew my mind! Way to go Wren. What a wonderful dining experience.

Amazing dining experience! The food is artfully prepared and delicious. The wine list has something for everyone and the craft cocktails are unique and tasty. The dining room is cozy, with lighting that creates an intimate space. And the service is an homage to days gone by.. The servers are well aware you serve from one side and remove plates from the other side. They are attentive but not intrusive. If you haven't been to Wren yet...Go Now! I am sure that it will be more than difficult to get a table in the summer tourist season.
