The Tribune Ice Cream & Eatery

The ice cream here was so good!!! We were about to leave and some nice guy came by and started buying ice cream and he said to us who ever eats their ice cream first I will buy you more. And we all finished eating and he bought us all more ice cream! He was so kind!

The place to go for Sunday brunch when in Northport - it's inside seating area is small so in the off season not too much of a wait yet I would expect in summer it will be a challenge - they are closed in February making dents in their sofa or off doing adventures. 12/17/2017 had brunch. I had huevos and she hash... yum. 3/16 went with two spicey chicken sandwiches and a side of fries.... comfort food on a sunny winter Friday. 8/26/2018 also gluten free options including bread so you can have the burger.... she did and he had the chilequiles and shared fries... perfection in Northport.

Learned today (12/15/2023) that The Tribune will be moving to co-operate with The Union as a breakfast, lunch and dinner establishment serving Northport. This is good news and looking forward to the additional details as they unfold. Exciting.

Eggs Benny was on special — my mom once told me if there’s eggs Benny on the menu, get it. Chefs window was wide open, enjoyed a phenomenal meal, good greens, crispy potatoes while chef shared the unique history of The Tribune.

One of the best breakfast shots I've ever been to. We're had amazing service from a bright, bubbly waitress who helped make our experience memorable. The food was top notch too! Amazing all around.

Amazing breakfast -- my food was just spot-on, and one of the best restaurant breakfasts I have had in a long time. So glad to have this place in Northport.

Such a great staff and so extremely clean! Additionally this placed had amazing food and coffee for breakfast that really set the tone for the rest of the day. Look forward to coming back to see everyone again and partaking in another great meal from this lovely/quant little restaurant.

I always stop in when sailing on West Bay.

Eat their ice cream all the time but never sat down for breakfast or lunch.

Needless to say I will be back.

Had the special, Eggs Benedict, and it did not disappoint. Next up is their Sausage Biscuits and Gravy.

Seating is VERY limited so plan ahead and possibly prepare for a wait.

I hear a wait is common here especially on Sunday morning. No biggie because they take your number and call you when your table is ready. We shopped until our table was ready and the food was amazing!!! Well worth the wait! We heard other people leaving saying the same.

Stopped in for lunch. The menu was very limited. We both ordered the cheeseburger. It was really excellent. Glad we chose this place. Never been to Northport before. We enjoyed the town very much.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had! And I am 67 :-). I had the veggie scramble, and everything was fresh, seasoned beautifully and locally sourced. The rest of the menu looked fabulous also.

Excellent service and delicious food in a charming setting with nods to the building’s former use as the local newspaper. We enjoyed the breakfast/lunch selections - I can personally recommend the huevos!

Absolutely incredible. Consistently some of the best meals I have ever had. I make it a point to come here whenever I am in the area. You won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu.

Me and my boyfriend came here because we wanted a perfect breakfast. This place did not disappoint! He got the chicken and biscuit sandwich, and I got the sugarloaf pancake. The biscuits were perfect. Flaky and buttery. The pancake was the softest and fluffiest pancake I’ve ever eaten! Our wonderful server Ella recommended them and she did not disappoint. The syrup was to die for. My boyfriend and I left satisfied!

ICE CREAM COME GET YOUR ICE CREAM! This is the shizzle, and I can't believe nobody ever gets my order, so I will put it here. Get the Toasted Coconut in a cup and add hot fudge. It is literally a Mounds bar in ice cream form. You're welcome.

Local, fresh ingredients served from the most delightful group of people. Always delicious and worth the small wait in the summer.

My family stopped here for ice cream while in Northport and we were surely not disappointed!! The service here was great, wide selection of ice cream- though they were out of soft serve when we stopped here. Staff, we only encountered one staff member, was pleasant, fast and friendly! We ordered butter pecan, cookie dough, chocolate, mint chip, and salted caramel ice creams and they were all a delight. Very affordable prices as well!
