I’m sure everyone that’s from or travels thru Northport knows how magical Barb’s Bakery can be. Just bite into any of their daily made pastries and “Wow!”

The flavorful and fresh made goods are complimented by attentive staff that take the time to answer your questions as well as share stories.

If your in the area and haven’t visited, I highly recommend this place, you’ll be pleasantly surprised and will make it a regular stop.

Loved this cute family-owned bakery! It was our family's first time to Northport and the bakery came highly recommended. Walking in felt like a beautiful taste of history as the bakery has a cute old fashioned charm to it. Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite desserts and I absolutely fell in love with how Barb's Bakery makes them. So much so, that I convinced my husband to go back two days in a row so I could bring some back for our neighbors back home. The cinnamon rolls were surprisingly affordable too given how large they are (in fact, they probably could charge more than they do!) Other favorites of ours included the cinnamon twists and the pretzel twist pastry (not sure of the technical name, but it was oh so good!) There was a steady stream of folks who seem to be both locals and tourists. We will definitely be back again.

After a night on an air mattress, this made for a great morning. Huge cinnamon roll and a great cup of coffee! You will want to stop here!

The traditional spot in Northport to get that scrumptious morning carb fix with timeless fried and baked goodness. The business has maintained the quality through a recent change in ownership from the founders to the new stewards of the heritage. It's more a seasonal business with limited hours. Do go for the tradition and support the business. You'll be delighted with their selection but don't be disappointed if they are closed in the off season. Community First.

Best donuts. A classic Northport staple. If I could eat barbs every day I would. Even with new management they have kept their classic charm

Stopped in on the way to see the lighthouse. Cute place. Was welcomed in immediately. We were only going to grab a donut, but we ended up leaving with a bag full after she described everything. Brought everything back to Holland and have been enjoying our breakfasts for the past two days. Will be sad when we run out, but it makes a great excuse to come back in the summer!

I agree with Sarah (Local guide), BUT I engaged with the young lady behind the counter about puff pastry, she seemed to soften her approach to me and I really enjoyed being there. The pastry was amazing (I bake myself). Truly a wonderful small bakery, a MUST stop!!!! Had the cinnamon twists and these small apricot pastry that were packed with flavor!!! So good!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this delightful bakery. The baked goods such as the cinnamon twists, pumpkin cake donut and custard filled donuts are delicious and also be sure to take extras home! There are some tables and chairs to sit at as you enjoy the goodies along with coffee. Barbs is cozy and is such a gem from days gone by as so much these days is cold and commercial. Be sure to plan and give yourself time to enjoy the baked goods and the atmosphere.

I am here visiting a dear friend, and oh my gosh what WONDERFUL donuts and pastries! The iced cake donut was TO DIE FOR. I can’t wait to try some thing else today. And I purchased three items for under $5. Very inexpensive! What a lovely gem here in Northport.

Best bakery in Michigan! The cinnamon rolls are wonderful and everything they make is great. Can’t go wrong with anything you get there!

I make an annual visit here every year. It's an old fashion bakery with awesome donuts, cinnamon twists and cherry pastries. One of the best I've ever been to. It's a treasure from the past. A must stop!

Iconic Northport busines, in an historic building, famous for its buttery cinnamon twist pastries...get there early or you may miss them! Other pastries and donuts available, plus coffee and a small selection of bottled drinks...and that's it. Enjoy the historic sepia photos and customer drawings on the walls...listen to the village 411 while sitting at one of the well loved tables.

Delicious quality bake goods. It is wonderful to taste and I can tell they use quality products to make their bake goods and that is a rarity.

Barb's is a solid go-to when you are visiting Northport. The cinnamon twists are out of this world, and a rare find in the donut-shop world. Cozy for sure, but you'll enjoy the locals kibbitzing as you make your selections.

Best cinnamon twists anywhere, I have been looking for a better one for 20 years and none have yet to compare.

How can a cherry donut be so good? We love the glazed old fashioned and chocolate custard filled but just bought a cherry glazed donut and fell in love💜🍒

This quaint shop that is seemingly tucked away had delicious pastries and treats, and the locals and visitors alike sure knew about the place. With the line winding all the way outside the door, Barb's Bakery is doing something right.
