Taqueria Mi Pueblo

Super tasty food, I haven’t been to a Mexican restaurant this delicious in a long time. So blessed to have wonderful service, tasty food, and a great welcoming atmosphere. Truly a needle in a haystack!!! And great company. Also a very welcoming lent menu for all dietary accommodations considered!

Great food and generous portions at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is very authentic for a Mexican family restaurant, right down to the slightly too bright lighting. The complimentary chips and salsa are highly addictive. In particular, the salsa is very fresh, with just the right blend of cilantro, onion, acidity and heat (denoted by the bowl with a spoon). It's easy to fill up on the chips along with a margarita or ice cold cerveza. Then you'll be bringing home most of your dinner to have as a delicious lunch tomorrow.

I ordered the Chicken Tacos and quesadilla, and both were delicious. My friend got the burrito dinner. We agreed that it was one of the BEST Mexican restaurant meals I’ve had in a LONG time. I would definitely come back to this place.

Food is amazing!!!! They have an extensive menu, all the dishes are explained with what they contain, the prices are on the cheaper side, the music is authentic and not too loud so you're still able to talk and not yell. The inside is decorated very nicely, very colorful. Parking is a bit difficult to find since there's not many spots. On a weekend you'll be waiting for a table, despite the place being huge. If I'm ever in the mood for Mexican, I'll definitely be back!

When you go to my old neighborhood in southwest Detroit you can take your pick of dozens of good Mexican restaurants, that's a fact but this place is at the top. Fantastic atmosphere and decor. Wait staff is top notch and friendly. The food menu is the star of the show. Don't be in a rush cause you'll have trouble deciding. I went with bontana, with beef. Perfection,creamy refried beans mixed with seasoned ground beef,sweet onions,green pepper, jalapeños, cheese, and the whole thing cooked well done so the chips have extra crunch. I ordered a large so I could take home leftovers. Awesome, can't wait for my next visit.

Zero negatives here, this place is top shelf.
The staff work so hard and the food is so fresh, I swear it seemed the salsa was made fresh within the hour.
The server hostess and buzzer were on top of everything and got us in, seated, ordered up, served and finished up in very quick order. We weren’t rushed but the service was prompt.

The prices are great the food good the chips and salsa amazing, I highly recommend!

Awesome, the atmosphere was wonderful.
It was warm and welcoming.the food was great, and the waitress was awesome.. to make it better, it was my birthday, and the entire restaurant workers and all wished me a happy birthday ..

If your looking for authentic Mexican, look no further. I've always loved this place. It's a perfect place to bring the whole family as we brought my little nephew (the small plate is his) and he had a a nada-colada (non alcoholic piña colada). The food will definitely not dissappint you and also fill you up. Service here is great and has always been. The waiters are always happy and eager to help. Aka...I never had a bad experience here. One of my favorite Mexican restauraunts.. I love this place!

This is my go to for Mexican 🌮🌯. I've been going to Mi Pueblo for at least 15 years now. They have great food, awesome drinks. You won't be disappointed. You will become a regular here also. It's beautiful inside the bar, the decor. Lots of parking.

First time ever at this restaurant and I enjoyed myself the food was great they have five dollars drink specials Mon-Thru 2-7 I had an amazing server Thanks to Nena I recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone who looking for a good time and great Mexican food

If you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food, this restaurant is a great choice. Even before the pandemic, I've enjoyed takeout from here, and now that I've dined in, I can confidently say that the food is consistently great. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. If you're planning to come on the weekend for brunch, be prepared for a little bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. shrimp tacos are so flavorful and always hit the spot. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, definitely try one of their dessert drinks. They're great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some delicious and reasonably priced Mexican food. Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, you won't be disappointed

Its my third time here and all I can say as a Mexican is that this place keeps me going here in Michigan. Food is authentic and delicious. Portions are beyond generous and the service is great. Prices are between $20-$30 per person with a drink included and tip. Would totally recomend this restaurant.

Taqueria Mi Pueblo is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I’ve been patronizing this restaurant for years. They have the best rice, it’s light yet full of flavor. I like that it’s not just rice with lots of tomato paste. On this visit, I tried something different. I’d never had the Queso Fundido; I will definitely have it again. It’s refried beans, chorizo sausage, diced veggies including jalapeños smothered with white cheese…oh my goodness. I had it with chips and a side of guacamole. It’s a great appetizer to share. I had it as a meal and only ate a third of it. It is definitely a must try if you’re a fan of the enchilada cheese. Absolutely delicious!!!

This by far is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is on point the staff is nice and pricing and atmosphere is just right.

It's like an ongoing Fiesta for your eyes, ears, and taste buds. The most excellent tacos with tasty corn tortillas. Their flavourful taco sauce is divine and makes the taco. The carnitas and al pastor are the best! Even the horchata in a bottle is very good. Just the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon. Goes perfect with tacos. Will definitely be back, just a short jaunt across the border.

My coworker is Mexican and takes me here. Now, I'm HOOKED! I've been 5 times in 3 months. If you want good, tasty authentic Mexican food, go here. Ask for their frozen Strawberry margaritas 🍹... you won't be disappointed. Yum!

Note: It gets really busy here. Sometimes, it's worth checking the wait line. Just type into Google "taqueria mi pueblo wait list" and hit "join waitlist." It will let you know if there is a wait or not. So convenient.

This place is amazing. Great price and some
of the most authentic Mexican food you will find in or around Detroit area. The enchiladas were great as was the menudo as well. Mi Pueblo never disappoints and I will continue to be a customer for the foreseeable future.

I lived in Dallas for 2 years and STILL never had better Mexican food than this!!! This place is a Detroit stable!! Top 5 Places to grub in the D!! There's nothing on the menu that won't melt in your mouth. The chimichanga, or enchilada meal are usually my go-to (s) but everything literally SLAPS!! The beans and rice are to die for 🤤🤤. The only way you can go wrong is not making a reservation (especially on a Sunday). Wait times can be long on the weekends but it's truly worth it. They're pretty quick with to-go orders and also just opened up a Minute Pueblo express across the street. I'd recommend this place for any type of meal (meeting, date, family outing, etc.)
