Hewing Hotel

My wife and I stayed here for a Friday night and it did not disappoint. Great, friendly staff. Really nice rooms. We didn’t eat at the restaurant since we had reservations somewhere else but it smelled great. The rooftop bar was really nice; good cocktails with a sweet view. Perfect location to walk around to all the bars and cocktail lounges and not have to worry about driving.

Spent a night at the upstairs bar with friends. Fast and friendly service, good drinks, fun and inviting environment. Forgot our servers name but she was great. Thomas, in the lobby, was a pleasure to chat with. Overall, really good experience!

We stopped by the bar as it’s been our date night spot since we started dating. The bartenders this Saturday were fascinating to watch. The pride and attention to detail in each drink they crafted was next to none. Meanwhile, being completely attentive and anticipating customers needs. Lovely atmosphere. We love this place in general, but tonight was one of our favorites.

Situated in the north loop, within walking distance of a variety of quality shops, great restaurants, and even Target field for Twins games. Upscale casual vibe, with great bar, food and billiards in lobby, and indoor/outdoor bar on roof. Sauna and hot tub too. And spacious rooms. Highly recommend.

I’ve been staying here for just over a week and this place is all the vibes. The front desk is so accommodating and helpful, they make you feel like you’re coming home (special shout out to Thomas!) and the valets are so kind. I’m in a wheelchair and Howard always rushes to get the doors for me. Both sets! It’s honestly such a great spot. The rooms are amazing, cleaning staff do too tier work, and that rooftop hot tub with the skyline view is straight magic. I haven’t even check out yet but cant wait to book my next stay!

Stayed here for 5 nights. We really liked the Warehouse District. It was easy to walk everywhere from North Loop. The Lobby was usually pretty busy but it was a nice, warm atmosphere. The roof top bar was great as was the unique vending machine by the bar.

The rooms were nice and had a rustic feel. My only critique is the barn door on the bathroom. I really hated this as it's not convenient to use the restroom while your partner is showering or using the sink. A standard door or even just a pocket door for toilet area would be ideal. I'd definitely stay here again though.

I stayed at the Hewing on a work trip but I will definitely be coming back for a personal stay.

The hotel vibe is rustic modern it summed up in one word it would be beautiful (and cozy). I guess I can’t do one word. 🤷🏽‍♀

The room had great lighting, a stocked bar and fridge, and quality bath products (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

There was more than enough space and the bed was super comfortable.

We had our meeting catered and the food and service was amazing as well. Did not disappoint.

Amazing experience. Hotel and rooms have a great ambiance, rooms are spacious ( though it has no desk), and very cozy. Hot tub in the roof and sauna are also awesome.

This hotel is absolutely amazing!!!!! I loved everything about it - the yummy cookies at arrival, the free drink tickets, the AMAZING customer service. V the bartender was soooooo cool and Llew made the most amazing lemon gin cocktail ever! Michi was also so helpful with the best food recs!

They took great care of us on our Anniversary. The Chef’s Choice at the Tullibee Restaurant was phenomenal. Rooftop sauna and hot tub are sweet. Planning on returning for our next Anniversary.

This hotel was so fun. The rooms were modern rustic chic and the staff was friendly. The restaurants were yummy. The rooftop pool and sauna were awesome. The hotel is located in the North Loop. Many great restaurants in the area and only a few blocks from Target Field. We were able to walk to many restaurants and watch the Twins play a couple of games. Was very enjoyable.

Within minutes of checking in, I told my spouse I want to stay here every year for my bday. Incredible service, drink tickets for my bday, free upgrade to room with city view, clean beautiful room, roaring fire in the lobby fireplace, and just overall amazing vibes. Rooftop hot tub was great, especially on a chilly December day! Amazing breakfast and room service. Such a special treat and really felt like we were on a vacation during our staycation. Hated to leave!

Loved our anniversary stay here. Room and amenities were excellent. Sauna was outstanding! We ate supper at Porzana, though I understand Tullabees is great too.

Two bits of parking advice.
1. As someone said earlier use Ramp C if you don’t want to use the valet service. $15/night.
2. Check your bill at the end, we had a parking charge which they took off after I emailed them about it. They claimed it had been a mixup with our last name. Hmm.

This hotel has a vibe like no other. Every detail makes it beautiful and enjoyable. We truly loved our short stay and will certainly come back again.

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary "staycation" back in August and had such a wonderful experience. Upon checking in we were upgraded to a suite for no reason - um, amazing!! The rooftop was super fun and the hot tub was less crowded than I would have expected for a Saturday night. The restaurant downstairs was wonderful. Staff were super friendly. Would highly recommend the Hewing to anyone!

Such a beautiful place! Staff was so accommodating and helped in any way. The skyline view from the hot tub was stunning! Can’t wait to visit again!

Sauna, hot tub and rooftop are amazing - even/especially in winter. 10/10 recommend - this is the best hotel in Minneapolis.

This is the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The rooftop hot tub was even better than we expected, with a view of the skyline at night that is pretty unbeatable. Room was spacious and clean, and the decor fit the luxury industrial vibes of the whole building. The fitness room was nice, could have been bigger but they have a peloton and a separate yoga room, so there are enough options to choose from. Staff was courteous and explained the ins and outs of the Hewing experience for us along with a welcome brochure. The only downside was Valet as the only parking option through the hotel, so we ended up parking overnight in a parking garage a couple of blocks away. We didn’t mind since we were doing a lot of walking to get to the nice restaurants around Washington Ave anyway; but something to keep in mind and plan ahead for!

This is a high quality hotel that covers all the details. Loved the vibe - rustic, modern. It even had a bit of a smoky smell that went along perfectly with the dark tones, cool lighting, and woodsy feel. Lots of activity in this neighborhood - great places to eat and night life. The service was outstanding. We valeted our vehicle and it was broken into - not the hotel or valet company’s fault but they really took care of us. The hotel comped our room and the valet company was more than accommodating.
The room was excellent and the amenities on point.

We loved staying here. The rooms were spotless and a very cool design. The rooftop bar was super fun on a summer evening for the sunset. The staff was exceptional, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely hope to stay at Hewing Hotel again.
