Being new to area and stranded on New Year’s Eve, I did some quick google research and called Dakota Auto Repair. They gave a great referral to Dick’s Towing to get my vehicle started or towed over to them. My vehicle did start but I knew I needed it looked at and still brought it there. From getting to look at it that day, even though they were busy, the thorough explanation over the phone of what they felt needed to be done and the fair pricing to get the job completed, they have earned my business going forward. My father has been going here for over a decade. I started bringing my vehicle here a few years ago. Derek and company are very honest and trustworthy. They also are very knowledgeable, using genuine OEM parts and not cutting any corners. I trust them to do the right thing and I won't go anywhere else.

I drove to Dakota Auto Repair in an emergency situation and they could not have been more helpful. Service was fairly-priced and all my options were clearly explained. Work was completed within a day and I will definitely return in the future for other needs.

My car started experiencing problems near them. I called to see if they could take a look. Kevin said bring it on in. He drove it and looked right away. It was somewhat complicated and Derek (owner) got involved. They fixed problem temporarily by clearing out a code. Explained that I needed to find a Kia dealership and they better cover if not bring it back they'd figure it out. When I asked what I owed they said nothing. Wow! They really seemed to care about my problem. They were great. Took it to KIA and they fixed it. Thanks guys. I won't hesitate to come back for future repair.

Derrick and his team are very experienced mechanics and one of the few shops in the area that can service hydraulic plows as well.

I have been going to this family run store for more then 25 years. They are always fair and don't try to get you to buy extras. They tell you what they find and report back to you for a decision. Big jobs can take some time but they have always be fair!

They did a great job at a fair price. They not only fixed my plow, but made sure to take the time to show me how to disconnect/connect, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

My vehicle had a transmission leak and I brought it to Dakota Transmission to get fixed. Before bringing it here, I brought it to another place down the road and they quoted me at $280 to fix the leak problem. Dakota Transmission inspected it and said that the leak was a larger problem and by fixing it like the other place all it would be doing is placing a band aid on it. The people working there gave me great advice on what to do and are very trust worthy. They didn't even charge me for inspecting my vehicle. They are straight forward and trust worthy.

It's tough to trust an auto shop to do great work and not rip you off even if they don't. Derek at Dakota Auto Repair is the only place I take my car to that I trust it will be done at a fair price. If you live in the metro area I highly recommend

Excellent service. I went in to have my rear brakes replaced. I ended up leaving with an oil change as well, and below the original quote for just the brakes. They even squeezed me in earlier than they originally had availability for.

Chris and Robert, both really stand up guys and got my truck finished quick. Diesel mechanic who knows their stuff 100%. No complaints with my truck ever since it came out of their shop :)

Talked with the guys at Dakota Auto about some A/C pipe issues and they were the only ones willing to fit a pre purchased part from subaru for us. Used their drop box and it was fixed the next day at lunch time. Prices were reasonable and service was great.Glad we found this place.
