Went for lunch with my wife. We were hoping to enjoy the sunny warm day on their roof top patio. Unfortunately when we got there they said it was closed until July. They still had a patio on the side of the restaurant. Not as scenic, but it was nice being outside still. Despite not having the roof top patio open as we anticipated based on their website I’m still giving this place 5 stars. The food was incredibly delicious - flavorful and filling. We first got the Yucca fries appetizer. We were each going to get something after but the fries ended up more filling than we anticipated. Our server said the pizzas are definitely shareable so we just got a Smoked Chicken pizza. It was larger than I expected and those two items were plenty for the both of us (and I normally eat a lot!). Both dishes were very good and I would come back for sure and even get the same thing again.
I ordered a Salty Dog drink which my wife loved so she drank that. I had a Mister Tea and that was really good.
I would recommend this place and look forward to going back again.
Since it’s downtown just prepare/plan for parking if you’re driving as downtown is getting busy again.

Food was top notch. Service was a bit slow at first (especially for an after brunch rush) but it picked up nonetheless. Our waitress was really helpful and sweet! As for the ambiance, it would’ve been nice to have a more lively crowd but that’s not here nor there. Will return!

Fun place. The concierge recommended the restaurant to me and I’m glad I went. Sat at the bar, usual. The bartenders work hard but balence good customer service. Seems like a lot of locals, young hang here. 1/2 bottle wine night is a definite plus. The curry seafood was excellent, along with the creamy potato soup as the app. 🦐 🐟 🥔

This is a cute little spot in the North Loop area! I gave 3 stars for the food only because I ordered the curry seafood stew and it was delicious BUT it was Waaaaay too salty! The service was AMAZING tho! Our waitress Maggie was fantastic!!! Her level of service and care was top tier. If you are her boss and reading this She deserves a Raise! She is the reason I will be back to dine at Nolos! 🙏🏽 Thanks for your service Maggie we had a great time!

We were in town for a concert. We had a little less than an hour to order and eat. The host assured us that we could get in and out under an hour. We were seated immediately, and the waitstaff was prompt. Mandy our server was awesome. She knew from the host that we needed to get in and out and we had our order into the kitchen in less than five minutes. I dont think ten minutes passed and our food was at the table. Now I am struggling to think this was their normal service. I felt they were treating us special. The food was awesome. I had the walleye sandwich, and my wife had the Marguerite pizza. The portion was perfect for me. However, the pizza could have served two. Overall it is great place with great service and great food. I will eat there again.

(Last visited 4/24/2022.) Hanging out in Minneapolis for the weekend and it's a city well-known for it's brunches so that's what we do best here! Nolo's... or it's downstairs portion is better known as "The Basement Bar" is where today's adventure was, so here's how it went! I'm also choosing to write the review here because the restaurant shares the same kitchen. Anyway... moving on...

Atmosphere/Appearance: Nolo's is actually the upstairs portion of this Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde style restaurant. The upstairs is brightly lit, beautifully organized, but as you walk to the back and head down the stairs you get to the REAL PARTY! We chose to go to the basement because at that time, that's where they offered the bottomless mimosas! The basement was very lively, a bit dark, but it was SO OPEN and just looked like more fun than upstairs! Lol.

Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was awesome. There may have been 8 of us, but she kept the drinks coming, the food coming and made sure that we had everything that we needed to keep the party alive!

Food: For my entrée I went with the Breakfast Fried Rice! It's composed of jasmine rice, breakfast sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, peas, sesame
kale and yum yum sauce. It was DELICIOUS. It soaked up the alcohol perfectly and kept me going! While there I was also able to try out the Smoked Chicken Woodfired Pizza which consists of garlic cream sauce, fontina cheese, parmesan, roasted onions and herbs. This too was savory, creamy, garlicy and delicious.

Value: Not too expensive at all. I mean, the more you drink the more you want to eat, so take that into consideration. Lol.

In conclusion, I dug this place for real. It was down to Earth, real and it didn't try to be anything that it didn't want to. That's what I enjoyed most about it! There was no style we had to fit into or any certain way we had to act. We could be our loud, fun, drunk authentic selves down here in The Basement Bar of Nolo's.

Cute little downtown American fusion restaurant that is close to the Twins Stadium. I was very happy with my soup and salad and my sister had a burger and fries. An oversized booth made our meal quiet and relaxing.

Manager Ruby and staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating! After a different venue wouldn’t allow a birthday cake, Ruby welcomed us with open arms AND even lit the candles. They truly saved the night, and of course their food and drinks are delicious, too. Happy customer for life!

It is a very good place for some nice salads, pizza, burgers and a lot more!
I really love the freshness of all the food the provide here.
The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very beautiful. They also have a bar in the center and offer a wide variety of beverages.
The service and staff are very nice here. Located right in downtown, it is a very good place to hangout with friends, colleagues, family or even a date!
They also have lots of vegetarian and vegan options for people with different fooding choices.
A must try and a highly recommended place.

I've had difficulty figuring out where to begin this review. I reckon it's likely best to begin as most of us do, with breakfast. I have not ever had a breakfast item off the menu that didn't leave me splendidly satisfied. That said, I've never had a pizza nor chicken sandwich that I didn't love either.

One of the biggest reasons why I will keep walking into this restaurant is the customer service. The food could be half as good, and I'd still come just because the staff is hospitable. A secondary reason is that their menu changes throughout the year. I love to see what the leadership and kitchen keep conjuring up!

Staff was very friendly! The atmosphere was modern and chill. Went around happy hour time, the Tito's martini was mostly just Tito's :) . Had to ask for more salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese for my pasta, but that's cause I like my food more spiced. Thankfully the delivered on that.

Ok y’all I have a new favorite place in Minneapolis!! What a fabulous breakfast. Their iced tea is perfect and I got one to go for the afternoon. The jams for the toast are homemade and delicious. The granola is outstanding and also homemade. The honey is local and has the perfect balance of sweetness. The service and atmosphere was just what I needed after a long day of travel...kindness and smiles. I really look forward to returning to enjoy their other menus. This is a guaranteed winner!!! Put this place on your list… you won’t be disappointed.

Not an extensive menu, but each item we had was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Reasonably priced, decent portions, and absolutely incredible quality. The server was friendly, host was quick to seat us, and TV's for sports are nicely tucked behind the bar area so they're not obnoxious or distracting. Beautiful setting inside, comfortable tables & spacing, will definitely be going back. 10/10 for the filet mignon sliders, I would drive there just to pick those up for take out.

The food an ambience is great.
I'm changing my service rating because of an experience we had last night (12/22) with the male bartender.
A group of us went to have drinks, and the bartender ignored us most of the night. At midnight, my husband and our friend went up for another round and were told the bar was closed because it was midnight. We were fine with this, however, almost immediately a group of white males went up and asked for shots and they were given the shots.
I went up and asked for a couple of beers right after and pointed out that he had just served the other group. The bartender rolled his eyes at me and refused to serve us.
We did complain, and we were upset and yelled at the bartender. We left the restaurant shortly after.

It was visible that he refused to serve a majority group of Latinos, but kept serving drinks to white individuals.
The whole time we were there, up until this situation, we were not obnoxious, and we were paying our drinks. We don't feel like we were treated with respect, and felt discriminated against by the specific bartender.

HIGHLY recommend the coconut curry seafood stew. It’s not a choice I’d normally try but I’m so glad I did! Everyone enjoyed (and finished all of) their food. Good drink selection, too.
