Dayton YMCA at Gaviidae

Where do I start?
First off, I want to thank the staff for being so friendly and bubbly.
Tbh I was nervous going to any gym, and I have held off going to the one for half of the month because of my anxiety and not knowing how to gym.
All the pressure and anxiety seems to roll off with each visit. I feel more comfortable my third time going. Next time will be my physical exam to see where I'm at. I'm excited

Beautiful ymca also highly recommend the hydro massage great way to relax! Nice staff and gorgeous space.

I really enjoy working out here. The space is really clean, the lockers are secure, the staff is friendly, theirs so many activities going on during the month and it has all the equipment necessary for a quality workout.

Conveniently located to many hotels, this place is fantastic! Thank you Becky for the spare swim goggles!

When I initially started my my membership with the scholarship and discounts given it was a true blessing to be able to afford it and still have cash left considering the income I was working with so it allowed me to have money left to spend on things particularly that I needed and to give a small portion of it to someone that may have been ineed as well so I couldn't be more appreciative to be able to do both Thank you to the Y.M.C.A

Been going here since early summer. Im loving it so far. The classes and instructors are awesome! I'm a regular at their yoga classes and recently Barre. Absolutely love their rooftop. I got to enjoy it doing yoga this summer. Gotta try the pool and their powerhouse soon. Locker rooms are clean, towels and cleansing wipes are always stocked. They even have free coffee on weekends. I see myself being a member of this gym for a long time.

Nice Gym/swimming pool in Minneapolis Downtown with skyway connectivity. Friendly staff and Instructor for kids who want take swimming lesson!!

I love this gym. Super clean, spacious, with lots of cardio equipment. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a great location. There are tons of fun classes to take too. Oh, and you gotta see the rooftop!

I self toured the facility last Saturday. Very nice. I like how the check in is set up. Can't wait to check out the roof top deck. Only thing is idk if it was a good idea to have the locker rooms on a separate floor from the pool unless there is another locker room where the pool is but that area was not open yet when I toured. Overall very nice facility

Four floors of stuff to do including a nice sized swimming pool, large studio and even an occasional rooftop yoga class. Also a good assortment of weights and a great spread makes for less congestion during peak hours. Great fitness center!

Really helpful and friendly staff. This place is also really big and has a lot of facilities that other gyms don't even dream of (Jacuzzi for instance). Just a nice great place to work out without feeling judged. Also has good class options.

I am a very happy member of the YMCA. Big number of machines, racks, and cages. They also have bumper plates if you're just starting certain lifts and can't go straight to 45s. I had never deadlifted before and now I pull 130lbs :-) love the indoor track as well. It's daunting to jump on a treadmill and crank it to 6mph, but on the track I've found it much easier to run a sub-10 min mile.

Staff are super friendly as well as the other members. I go early morning weekdays and have befriended the rest of the early morning crowd!

Super friendly helpful staff (especially Becky and Deb!) Clean, lots of equipment, incredible sauna. I feel better than I have in months!

This review is long overdue. This place is the best hands down. Overall great experience in my years of coming to this Y. Great equipment, friendly staff, and overall awesome environment. Special thanks to Tom for helping me with my locker situation (i have locked my keys in my locker multiple times and he helped me every time and was very nice about it). Bummed that they are going to be moving soon, but luckily not too far. Whether your new to the fitness community or just getting back into the swing of things this is the place to go; Thanks DT minneapolis Y!

They now have a ymca in there so it makes it a great place to do a little shopping and get your work out on. This ymca is very nice it has very clean showers and very clean work out equipment. It's a huge ymca its 6 floors and they also have private changing rooms and a pool. Free towel service!! The lockers here come with those digital locks where you set the code so its very nice to be honest.

I think this is a beautiful space but no steam room and coed sauna is really a downer. Having both sauna and steam room in locker room for men and women is really what should have been considered. The equipment is great but the amenities are a great disappointment

I love the space in the YMCA, new and clean machines. Everything seems to be available for aerobics to weight lifting. I am a swimmer and I value the swim pool and registration process for the pool. Wonderful, wonderful locker room!

This Y is amazing. A great location, super clean, lots of equipment (both cardio and weights), beautiful space, and the membership is so inexpensive. Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone who lives or works nearby would go anywhere else.

Immaculate facility with state of the art equipment and everything you could ever want including Olympic lifting stations. Friendly staff. The $20 day pass is a bit pricier than other YMCAs nationally but worth it especially if you are taking one of their many classes.

The cycling studio is also state of the art with Stages power bikes and integrated Stages Flight app. You can do a real interval workout in a fun gamified way. The instructor is also great and refills everyone's water midway through the class.

Clean. Great staff. Good location. Variety of weights and exercises. Spa, sauna, and steam room for post workout. A little spendy but they give vouchers for income based persons. Non profit.
