Dakota Pet Hospital

My 3 year old Golden Retriever was having GI issues. I got an appointment quickly and she was examined. The stool specimen was negative and it was determined she ate something when off leash that made her ill. No further treatment needed. She improved on her own by the next day. The tech made a follow-up call to see how she was doing. Staff were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and caring.

Getting a young cat in and out with his yearly checkup and getting his vaccines. They had his fecal labs done before I left, and that was fast. Great friendly staff and vet care here.

Extremely easy to get in same day which seems like impossible these days anywhere.
From the front desk to techs to the Vet they all made me feel very comfortable. Very friendly, they informed me of cost of tests prior to doing them and told me which was really needed and not- I did not feel as though I was just pressured to get all the tests done; I feel they took into account vet bills are expensive and they did only what really was needed. They allowed me to take a written script so I could see about getting it cheaper elsewhere. They called the following day at 8:00am to check on him, and then the following day when he was having some diarrhea they put a prescription together for me to pick up without having to be seen again. Never did I feel rushed in the office or that it was about money. I am extremely happy with the clinic as a whole, I have been there one other time but I will now definitely being switching my golden here for all his vet needs. Over exceeded my expectations!! Thank you for being great and so close !!

I have been coming here since I first got my little girl, Bella, 8 years ago. I started off with the puppy package, which I highly recommend. My Bella truly likes coming here; she gets excited when she sees where we are. I think that says loads about the people that work here. Also, the couple times I've been concerned Bella wasn't feeling well they got her in that day. We highly recommend this clinic 👌 🙂🐶

We recently had to put our beloved dog Cash to sleep. It was incredibly hard but the staff here was wonderful and so caring. They sent a nice card after. We have had 2 family dogs and have taken them here for check ups and grooming for many years. They have been great!!

Dakota pet hospital always goes above and beyond in the care of my dogs. The staff is friendly and takes their time with my pups, explaining what they are doing and going over options. I always feel like they really care about my animals and they have convenient appointment times.

This is the only place I'll take my little girl. She actually loves going to the vet! We have been coming here for the first 8 years and hopefully for at least 8 more. We started off with the puppy package, which included all of her shots for the first couple of years, a micro chip, & spade or neutering. Recently, when we had to call 911 three days in a row for my elderly mother, my little girl got so stressed out from it that it gave her diareah, and they took care of us asap. You will not find better service anywhere.

Dr. Blohm has been great helping me navigate the health issues and diagnosis with my older dog (who had been also go to the u of m vet for specialty care).
She has spent significant amounts of her time talking me with and helping me make decisions and giving me her options when I ask.
I am very grateful for her!

Dakota pet hospital staff are the best in the business!!! We first met them when our love bug peaches got sick. He had cancer and we had to lay him to rest. The staff at that time were phenomenal and so caring, treating him and us with true pure care and love. We recently got a new kitten and we knew the Dakota pet Hospital was the place to take him for all of his check ups and get him on the kitten wellness plan, all the staff just take the best care of your loved pet! I couldn’t ask for a better vet, the Dakota pet Hospital is truly the place to go!

Dakota has been our one and only clinic for over 10 years now and we haven't even lived in lakeville all these years. The women at this practice are some of the most intuitive, caring, and professional people I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

We currently own a doberman and a huskador. When we got our doberman I was sure I would have to find Zoey a specialty vet who was known for dealing with the breed and understanding the specific needs dobermans require after the multiple surgeries they endure as puppies to meet akc standards. I am more blown away at how wrong I was underestimating the staff's vast knowledge each time I visit. In fact it's embarrassing that they now know I was going to cheat on them out of my overly excessive internet searching and over protectiveness. This incredible staff have shown sincerity, love, and compassion for my baby every visit. At least Zoey's excitement to see them tells me so :). Zoey Dobie is on the puppy plan at Dakota and it is a no brainer. The Vets take a considerable amount of time to help me plan Zoey's big life choices related to timing of her spay, BREED specific cautions/common problems we test her for, and all the silly questions I have in between.

I can’t recommend Dakota Pet Hospital enough. Their service and care is the best that I have experienced with a veterinary office. Their staff is always very helpful and attentive.

I decided to bring my new puppy there after trying out two other veterinary clinics in the south metro. I decided to continue my pet care at Dakota Pet Hospital, after their veterinarian was able to detect an umbilical hernia that was missed by the three other veterinarians (including the one that did his initial puppy exam).

More recently, they have continued to amaze me in their care and customer service. We had another dog that recently passed, but was not seen at Dakota Pet Hospital. However, we had his remains cremated by them. They had sent a a sympathy card and planted a tree in the Chippewa national forest in honor of our deceased pet. It was an incredibly kind and thoughtful gesture during a difficult time. I am thankful to have them take care of my pets from beginning to end of life.

Dakota Pet has always treated my pets like family. They’re quick to get you seen in an emergency and don’t mind the random phone calls to help with any questions or concerns.

Better handling of our kitty Elsa and better pricing. I would recommend using this service forvyour fur babies. I will be bringing our other fur baby Aster in to them next month

Very kind, helpful staff. They were quick to get my pet in and treated, took the time to answer questions, and show how to give medications.

I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. The staff are incredibly friendly and talented, and have the autonomy that vets in corporate-owned clinics will never have.

They also keep an urgent care vet on staff, so you can often get in when you need to, not many days later. The fact they can do that is a sign they're treating their staff well, which means a lot to me!

Such a great team at Dakota Pet Hospital! All of the vets and techs are amazing, they take the time to go through everything and make sure you understand treatment options. Very reasonably priced based on the high level of care they provide.

I would recommend Dakota Pet to any pet owner without hesitation, fantastic people that clearly love caring for their patients!

Not only do I trust the friendly staff, but my pup loves going to Dakota Pet Hospital! (I think she is a bit of a celebrity there.) The service is great, and I can tell the doctors care about my pet. I would recommend - 6 out of 5 stars!

Did a great job on my daughter's golden retriever after he ate the brim of my cap. Which was made of plastic under the fabric. They x-rayed him and found no large pieces. So they induced vomiting, and he was fine.
