BANK Restaurant

Went for Happy Hour and stayed past it. Their Happy Hour it's a limited menu of appetizers and beer & wine specials. The happy hour appetizers are a cheaper and smaller portion of the main appetizers. I had the wings with the dry rub and blue cheese which were delicious. The rye old fashioned, with bullet rye, is a decent old fashioned. The downside they are expensive as I had three old fashions and the happy hour wings which were, $10 and my bill was $76 before tip.

We had family coming in for the holidays and my uncle wanted to eat out one night to give my wife a break from dishes and cooking. We were pleased to find a reservation for 10 on open table. Not being familiar with the location or menu we were pleased to find multiple option available for all the picky eaters in our group. The appetizer selection was good with many options and the key was our waiter who kept reminding us if we saw something we didn’t like or had questions about swapping things “he knew people” and would take care of it. So salads were delivered with dressing on the sides and steaks were butterflied and the salmon was delivered with the glazing on the side. (He was right, it was a lot sweeter than I would have appreciated on a wonderful filet of fish). Top this all off with having our own private room with adjustable
Lighting and music volume controls (we all seemed to adjust one or both). I can’t say enough about the attention and service and again really love the diversity on the menu.

We arranged to have a special dinner party at The Bank restaurant to celebrate my daughter's graduation with her masters from the University of Minnesota, and we could not be happier with how our event turned out. The restaurant is a hidden gem, located within the Westin Hotel downtown Minneapolis. (Yes, it is actually a vintage bank, with cooks in the kitchen behind what used to be teller windows, and a wine cellar in the former vault! The history adds ambiance, and the decor and architectural elements are simply breathtaking.) Parking is available in a ramp nearby or via valet at the hotel, making it more appealing than other places in the downtown area as well. Huge shout out to Catering and Sales manager, JENNIFER DELAGDO, who worked with me back and forth through many emails to plan and execute the event exactly to my vision. At Jennifer's recommendation, we reserved a private room in the corner of the main-floor restaurant, which proved its worth in gold as we had a couple of toddlers with us and a noisy, happy post-graduation-ceremony group. We were able to laugh and have all the fun we wanted without fear of disrupting other dining guests on the main floor. The food was exceptional, and we all enjoyed our meals by Executive Chef ERIC WIEDL immensely. In fact, we can't say enough about the food! It was truly delicious and a huge highlight. The room was beautifully set in the configuration that I had requested, and our head server, TERRY, took fabulous care of us, making sure we all had drinks as we arrived and that we enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable and professional. The personalized menu placed in each napkin was beautifully designed and printed, and it gave a special presence to the table -- truly the icing on the cake. This is not the cheapest place you could host a party, but for downtown Minneapolis properties, it is a hidden gem with beautiful ambiance, delicious food, solid drink menu and lovely private accommodations for a smaller group. Without hesitation, we highly recommend!

Inside the Westin. Loved it. Nice service and beer. Also have vegetarian menu. The cauliflower steak was awesome.

Great food and Service! We loved the Tuna app and Seabass entrée. Also had a great time with staff that made the experience a lot of fun. Chef Justin and Abraham were wonderful.

We had the duck and ribeye, both were delicious. Thomas was our server and very nice and attentive! Drinks were strong.

I had my birthday dinner there last night. Great food and ambiance. Our server was amazing, funny, and so accommodating. He even asked the Chef create a custom meal for me, and also treated me to chocolate cake out of his paycheck. All of their staff was friendly and wonderful. I would definitely recommend trying out this restaurant.

It was excellent! My friend and I went for lunch. We chose two items for $15 (wild rice soup and salad). We thought it was a good value given the quality of the food and service, and the serving size. Neither of us was able to finish our meal. 5/5

We had my birthday (and Valentine's night) dinner at BANK, really good and interesting environment and location. I hope the chef has received my personal feedback to him about the food.

The food- spectacular; I ordered the sea bass entree. Fresh and prepared perfectly. Very satisfied.

New chef started today! Butternut squash ravioli with sausage was amazing. Walleye cakes, buffalo cauliflower and a gorgeous and delicious charcuterie board. Great space! Not on top of other diners. Highly recommend.

Great food and good ambience. I had a Groupon coupon and had informed them while calling to reserve seats, so they brought the menu as per the booking; no confusion whatsoever. Server was there at regular intervals, didn't have to wait for them. No much waiting time for the dish also. Altogether it was a great experience.

Absolutely floored by quality of service and food. Wait staff was very attentive and very helpful (my girlfriend has a dairy allergy and they triple checked everything).

Very reasonable prices for the quality of food and the atmosphere. Perfect date night spot or if you're looking for an upscale vibe.

Wonderful open space, lots of historic details, great food. Good for a night out for 2 or (in my case) a group of 35 for a work event. Staff are super friendly and easy to work with regarding any seating or menu arrangement. I keep going back!

Great place. Pricey, but worth it.

The stunning Art Deco and Classical Revival architecture could steal the experience, but the service and food are equally impressive. Loved the sense of intimacy/privacy in such a colossal space.

The waiter Troy was joyful and full of personality. The food was great! I really like the refreshing non-alcoholic drink selection.
