Mario's Restaurant Clifton

Last weekend i hosted my daughter's baby shower here and i was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, the room was clean, they have a bonus area where they have all the food stations that prevents people from tripping over each other. It was updated with nice lighting and plenty of space, it was also very reasonably priced. In the picture i posted it shows the lighting, the room where the food was and that there is plenty of room there are over 50 people in attendance.

Excellent service not only because my son Alejandro Cerpa Works there the place has been there since 1945 if that tells you something...

Great service and great environment. I loved that it was not too many people and it was peace and quiet at the place. The sever Aldo is very attentive and the food was excellent.

Oh my God childhood memories inflated once tasting a highly improved quality of food. And don't judge by the dinner theater because they don't order the same food that's on the menu I don't think the food is absolutely excellent the mozzarella sticks are second to none I never had such good mozzarella sticks anywhere. And the sausage broccoli rabe try to get it at a better place

Regularly visit every 2 weeks. This place is heaven on earth. Authentic Italian food. Prices are affordable. & staff it’s very friendly/professional. Hoping this place never closes. Gotta love Mario’s!🇮🇹🍝🍕

Hadn’t been back here since I was a kid. 40 years ago! Used to go with my grand mother. Was in town so stopped in. Was just as I remembered it. Great old school Italian!

Update: My Mom passed away 2 months after this photo. When I went back with my son to tell the owner and thank him for everything, he GAVE us the pie I had ordered to bring back to her house! (Had to empty and sell her house which has been done). Same experience of amazing staff, caring, and the pie was delicious! Thank you, Mario's, for all the years of great memories there! I don't live nearby unfortunately, so I don't know when I'll be able to get back.

Always go to Mario's when I visit my hometown Clifton to see my Mom. Best pizza anywhere! It's thin and so delicious, no one should ever have just 1 slice! Staff is outstanding in every way. Since there weren't seats available yesterday, we were treated to our own room in the back (we're a family of 4)! The second pic shows the unused table of the room where we were. That was a wonderful surprise for my Mom's birthday! The waiter made us feel like a part of their family. I wish I knew his name. Kudos to the Hostess for coming up with a solution within 2 minutes to seat us! The fountain wasn't working yesterday, (that's rare) but usually we order their Birch Beer: it's the best! Will see you next time for sure!

Mario's has been a go to since elementary school (#13). Half days in 5th & 6th grade meant walking to Mario's for pizza. As an adult, I still love pizza but chicken or sausage risotto, and garlic spinach chicken & chicken franchise are my best. Generous portions & great staff. Also good for smaller parties!

What a fantastic place. Wonderful food, great service, and unbeatable prices. Best pizza in New Jersey! Try the rigatoni bolognese. It’s life changing.

Had the chicken Parmesan special. Soup, salad, entree, dessert and drink with tip around $25. Can't beat it. Food was great! Will definitely be back

The last time I was there was in 2014 and the food was excellent then and the food is excellent now we had quite a few different dinners that we shared and I definitely come back recommend it highly

This was my 3rd time coming here. The portions are big and absolutely delicious. Great service too. I recommend Mario’s.

I haven't been there in years but the food was as delicious as I remember it! The entire staff was wonderful!

Shrimp Parmigiana is absolutely delish! Shrimp is cooked to perfection, not rubbery and the sauce has great flavor. Nice portion size and reasonably priced.

My husband and I, always come here. So today I decided to bring my sister, who is in love with NASTY OLIVE GARDEN, so I'd figured she can eat real Italian food.
I absolutely love this place. The staff are amazingly nice and welcoming. This is my go to Italian restaurant!

This is an old school red sauce Italian restaurant and pizzeria. The food is basic fare done well. Great prices. Great service. Started coming here as a kid in the sixties with my mom and grandparents.

Good all round local restaurant. Very pleasant staff and atmosphere was good. I went there late afternoon so not exactly peak time but there were still quite a few diners there. I had clam chowder soup ( very good ) grilled salmon ( tad dry but I expect little else from farmed salmon ) lava cake ( very good ). Not an unreasonable price of $42. Certainly couldn't get that in Vegas ( where i live ) any longer. Yes, my husband's local eatery scores good. Thank you.
