The Standard Restaurant and Lounge

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Lake George. Greeted immediately and sat at the bar. Bartender was just the right amount of friendly. Food came after 5 or 10 minutes and was delicious. Restaurant is very clean, and the bar and liquor are attractively lighted. Al the customers, including my wife and myself were very happy. The bill was a lot less than expected. We shall return.

Stopped in for quick dinner before movies… We had a very enjoyable meal. Service was very good… we both had burgers which were exceptional ( although a component of my burger should have been heated more than it was) Atmosphere was very nice… and A+ for cleanliness… Pricing was reasonable and the menu had a wonderful variety of options.. Would highly recommend

Went here for lunch on a weekday right at opening. Had no problem getting a table. Server came over relatively quickly. She was friendly and attentive. I had a burger and my date had a chicken sandwich. Prices were reasonable. Overall, I would recommend trying here. We didn't have any cocktails but they had several on the menu that sounded pretty good.

While there's nothing new about meritocracy, there's tons to be said about raising the bar... At The Standard, pacesetting isn't the goal, leveling the playing field is... Came here with my wife for lunch on a Saturday and loved it! The atmosphere and vibe are like a classy swanky old 1940s/1950s Hollywood feel. We were seated quickly and we ate the complimentary warm bread while we looked over the menu (lots of options!)

I ordered a candied pecan and cranberry salad made with fresh mixed greens and endive--very large portion and probably the best salad I've ever had! I also ordered a cocktail--a Tom Collins, which turned out to be a perfect blend of refreshing with a little dab of sour and topped off with a cherry--it was delicious.

My wife ordered scallops with risotto, and that was our only complaint was that the scallops were priced a little too high dor what was served-- her scallops appeared to be deep fried and were rubbery. The accompanying risotto was decent portion size, but lacked a little flavor.

The service was excellent and we walked out feeling full and had a great experience! After shopping, we even came back for a few drinks at the bar!

Food was fantastic! Drinks were a little strong, so be careful. Loved that my bartender was my waiter, haha. The environment feels like it's aiming to honor the 50's -60's but doesn't quite hit the mark. Still a great attempt!

Date night with my boyfriend was very pleasant, from drinks to appetizer, main meal to dessert. Our server Jamie was very attentive to all our needs. Atmosphere was perfect. We we had reservations so we were seated right away. We will definitely return!

Our favorite restaurant and bar in town for the last fifteen years! Consistent great food, best cocktails, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Ariana was beyond exceptional. She was very courteous and friendly. I wasn’t t pleased with the dish that I received. Just wasn’t for me. Ariana was quick in helping me select something different, and made it a great dining experience. Great servers seem to be a rarity these days. She is an asset.

I happened to be in Albany for an event last weekend and my hotel was very close to the mall. I ended up here for a quick dinner solo. My server was very accommodating and funny. They give complimentary warm bread which was fresh...😊 i had a nice glass of Riesling. Server was very knowledgeable. I started with the Fresh Mozzarella with Tomato. (I am very picky with balsamic and this one was amazing- Sweet and zesty!) They added pesto which is an added touch... Excellent and fresh! I ordered the Rigatoni Marsala and it was piping hot and delicious. If I am ever in Albany again, I would definitely come back. I fully enjoyed my meal. I had an amazing experience! *Clean, cool, calm and collective as I beat the dinner rush on a Saturday night!!!

I've been here more than a few times and have had very good experiences every time. The food is always good for the most part, the service is always good, it's a nice environment, and it's usually pretty quick. In the picture is the Shrimp Scampi and it was good but could use a little more flavor. I really enjoy the complimentary bread here as well. I will say that my favorite meal here is the Steak Sandwich, there's enough food on the plate to split between 2 people for lunch.

Our waitress was very sweet, and our drinks were nice and strong! Food was great and came out pretty fast.

Very much like a cheesecake factory but better. The atmosphere and decor is lovely and comfortable. The drinks are great with a good variety of house mixers. But that food!!! About the most well rounded menu i have ever seen. There is something there for everyone. And its all fantastic. I have been twice and could not find a thing to complain about.

We got seated at 605 p.m. on a Saturday night.. The waitress came over and we were all ready for our order. She took her order and our food was there in 10 minutes tops.. We paid the bill and we're out of there by 6:30.. amazing turnaround.. Thank you.

Had a Wonderful time there with my family, the food was Great! The people where on point and Friendly, and it was a very comfortable New York Feeling!

Food is always great and drinks are well crafted. Went there on a Saturday and a Sunday of the same weekend with two very different groups of friends. First group ordered apps for the table and a few rounds of drinks. We told the waitress we were there to catch up with out of town friends so she gave us our space but was always there when we needed refills or wanted to order another app. The second group was doing a lunch after some shopping, we all got entrees, some of us for drinks. We were able to get in order, eat, and grab our check at the pace we wanted. Both visits were great experiences.

This was a great re-entry into society!
Hendricks and blue cheese stuffed olives... Mmmm... even had desert with that fresh pineapple coconut shrimp garnish and sauce!
A scotch bonnet pepper sauce would be SO good as a condiment... 😋

Please bring back the Endive salad!!!🙏🏼

Was really good food. Everyone was very polite. Price was a little high for what it was but the atmosphere was elegant.

The kitchen staff prepared our meals perfectly!! Our server "Brandy" was super efficient and friendly! Brandy was working with a cast on one arm, taking orders from several tables without having to write anything down! She didn't miss a beat. We will definitely be back soon with hopes of having Brandy as our server! Once again, the food was outstanding!
