WMCHealth Physicians Advanced OB/GYN Associates (Tallman)

Love the staff, love the doctors. Everyone is so caring. The new location is great. Pretty clean and bigger than the last one. Totally recommend them.

I’m not one to post negative reviews, however I’m sharing this experience in the hope that someone in this company’s management sees this and rethinks their system.
On Tuesday, what started out as mild discomfort during the day became more painful in the evening and it was clear to me there was an infection present. I called the office around 2:15 on Wednesday to see if I could schedule an appointment, hoping for the following day (I am in the medical field myself, and start seeing patients at 8:30 so this was the first opportunity I had to call)
The office told me I would have to speak to the nurse practitioner first. She called me approximately a half hour later. I explained my symptoms, told her I was in pain and she told me so need to come in and the front desk would call me back.
I did receive a call back 2 hours later, 15 minutes before they closed. By the time I was able to dismiss my own patient and get to the phone it was 5:02. Their message stated to call back the next morning.
After a painful night, I made sure to have someone cover me at the office today to call right when the office opened.
The person I spoke with told me that there are no doctors available at any location until Monday. She told me to go to call my primary or go to urgent care.
A few recommendations for you to do better. If you require screening by your NP then have the NP transfer the patient to the front desk once she deems your illness valid enough for a visit instead of waiting for another call back. If there is going to be no doctor available for 5 days then state that at the onset so your patients don’t spend another day in pain waiting for an appointment that isn’t going to happen. Hire another doctor and keep some emergency slots open. Make sure your front desk people don’t become nasty when she tells the patient that they can’t be seen after waiting a day to finally be approved for an appointment. Give your front desk some empathy training, they work in healthcare for goodness sakes. If they were in pain and waited a day to get an appointment only to be turned away how would they feel? (I was not nasty by the way, in case you were thinking I lost my temper). Lastly, don’t accept new patients because you clearly don’t have the time to take care of the ones you currently have.
While this is a GYN issue, I have to see my GP
I was a patient of Tallman OBGYN years ago. I left the practice when I moved to NJ and since I moved back here I tried to come back. Clearly this is not the same practice.
