Mason Jar Family Restaurant and Bar

Convenient location, as we were staying at the hotel next door.
Were told 20min wait (Sat night). Were seated in 10min.
Great comfort food.
Awesome live band.
Delightful waiter, William.
Definitely recommend.

Stumbled on open mic night and had supper.

The portions were gigantic and we all enjoyed the meals.

The music was retro and fun. Great stuff.

Only complaint was the loaded potato was quite unloaded.

Went here as it was recommended by the reknown food critic Jeff Vanderbilt. He was right on. Great friendly service. Nice atmosphere good food at a reasonable price. Google is wrong about the closing time. Food may stop at 9, but the bar is open and on weekends music starts at 9

We stop there occasionally when traveling in the area.
They have live music on Friday and Saturday and the place gets PACKED!
The food is good, the shepherd's pie is great! Prices are reasonable for the area, wait time is not long and there's plenty of seating.

It can get loud when there's live music. If that's not your thing, make sure you ask to sit fat from the band. You'll still be able to heat it pretty good.

Had an amazing Father's Day lunch at Mason Jar. The staff were amazing and treated us so well.
The food was delicious! Caesar salad and the tuna crisps were yummy.
Had a variety of bbq dishes. I had the queen prime rib and it was perfect! definitely try the ribs and the roasted bbq chicken. the chicken was flavored well and was so juicy (it reminded me of the rotisserie chicken they serve at Oktoberfest in Munich - perfectly seasoned juicy and crispy skin!)
Overall good portions and a delicious lunch with great service. totally recommend and will definitely come back for more!

The best BBQ! The photo I have is a plate for two people. It was so much food that I took leftovers to home. I loved the atmosphere, super familiar. The waiter was super patient and respectful. We will return to this little gem. Highly recommended!

Had a great meal at Mason Jar while in town. Service was great and portion size was very generous for the BBQ. The pick-2 option is a huge portion and the house sauces are worth trying. Plenty of beers on tap as well.

You read reviews, you look for the most popular places to eat at. I took my wife and 3 sons this evening, and we ALL left happy, full and beyond pleased. The service from Samantha was just awesome, she was quick, polite, and all smiles. Now the food as you can see was amazing, the beer on tap tasted good not skunky or bad. The atmosphere, the vibe, the smell was great. Now I can’t attest to any of their bbq food or ribs but I can tell you I would 100000000% return to try. And if I could give more then 5 ⭐‘s I would.

Mason Jar is a solid go-to restaurant for BBQ. We've eaten here maybe 3-4 times already and are always pleased with our meal.
We have tried the burnt ends (nice and crispy), pulled pork(good), brisket (hit or miss, sometimes very fatty, sometimes lean), Kansas City ribs (so tender, so good), and Memphis ribs (also awesome).
The Mac & cheese side is pretty okay but the sweet potato tots really steal the show.

Very friendly staff and big restaurant with plenty of seating. Nice size bar if you would like to get drinks and order food. My husband and I got the bbq combo for 2 and it was amazing! We had so much we even took some home for the next day.

So I read a review about the Mason Jar by a man from Texas on Google maps. He made the brisket and cold slaw sound so amazing, I had to try it! I called my cousin Linda and she had lunch there the day before. It was nearby but I'd never been there.
The atmosphere was very cool and the service was good. The brisket, cold slaw and homemade applesauce was out of this world!
My cousin Linda had the open faced slice steak sandwich with fabulous fries, topped with yummy onion rings.She had it there the day before and liked it so much, had it again!Next time cousin Linda is having the brisket!
The Mason Jar is a cool place with a casual atmosphere. The brisket was truly the best I've ever had. 'Looking forward to being a regular customer, lucky Linda and I are only 4 miles away from it. I definitely brought home take out for my hubby, no doubt he was a happy camper! ( 'didn't get the chance to photo, he just inhaled it! 😂👍

🎶 Live music is happening there, I don't know the details yet but as the world begins to reopen, music is the cherry on top!
Oh, I should mention we shared the Blueberry cheesecake in a mason jar for dessert but it was so good I forgot to take a photo before we devoured it!

Feels like eating at an Old Time BBQ restaurant. Great food, drinks and service

I was in Mahwah NJ for business, and happen to be staying right next to the Mason Jar. I was hoping they had pizza, because I always eat pizza when I'm in the promise land of the great garden state. I was happily surprised to see that they not only had pizza but they have cauliflower crust pizza! By far the best cauliflower pizza I've had. Also ordered the side of meatballs with ricotta, which were amazing. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to others.

Our waitress Daphne was so above and beyond AMAZING. Also, great food and warm atmosphere. The pot pie was delish although the filo crust was a bit thick and the rueben was on the money.

Really nice restaurant! Amazing food! We had a large group and the waitress was very kind to us. Service was exceptional! Highly recommend checking this place out if you are ever in the area!

This place keeps getting better.
I just heard a server say they get charged $0.50 for each crayon a kid breaks. That’s insane! I hope this changes or they switch to colored pencils.

The waitress was amazing and handled a group of kids (who were all awful if not possessed) perfectly calm and professionally.

Short rib was perfect, bbq was great, everything came out fast and with a smile.

How is a delicious hot meal served fast large menu with plenty to choose from always a plus on the way to a concert or one in area. Also terrific bike nights in the summer.

Parking lot seemed full but we were sat immediately. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels as an appetizer. They came out and were steaming as we broke them open. Tasted great. For our dinners we both ordered Reuben, my husband got the corn beef and I got the turkey, Also a side of Cole slaw. Everything was great!! For dessert we went with other reviews and got the mason jar blueberry cheesecake. It did not disappoint. I'm not even a big fan of cheesecake, yet enjoyed it. Service was quick, friendly, and a wonderful environment. My husband travels with his work and this is definitely going on our favorites for the next time he's in this area !!! Highly recommend!!

My first time eating here and it was good. Steak was delicious and drinks were good. I would definitely go back
