Andy is great. He gave me a fair price on some general repairs and he provided me with great customer service. He went above and beyond by helping me to jump start my car when the car broke down the road and I was about to be late for an important meeting. He seems very honest and I got an additional good quote on more work that my car needs. Safe to say I trust him to do the work. I highly recommend him and his body shop. Thanks Andy!

Best experience ever!!!!!! I wish I had run across them a long time ago. Andy is knowledgeable and kind and insisted pick up and drop off service. Amazing team that provided super fast service. Back over the summer I got the best alignment I've had in years.

I like working with Andy and his shop so much I'm actually fixing things proactively again –not just when I break down– since I can trust their good work and fair prices: I haven't done that in years. And since I've been bringing cars here, I haven't broken down again. He's been catching stuff, prioritizing it, reminding me of stuff that's getting marginal and doing so well in advance, so I can plan.

So glad to have finally found Quality Automotive: I feel kinda silly it took so long. I grew up here.

Now they HAVE MOVED and ARE OPEN again AT THE NEW ADDRESS: It's not too far away: Mohegan Lake, East a few miles and up the hill, on the south side of Lexington Ave. closer to rt202.

This doubles my drive, but it might halve yours and good shops and good people are worth the drive.

[ORIGINAL/INITIAL REVIEW follows: I'm brand new to this place and as body shops like to say, "we meet by accident" . Not in this case, but I did break down and role into the shop yard, almost (missed by 15-20 feet). Andy was knowledgeable, friendly and obliviously very skilled in diagnosis, as I listened to him speak with several customers and explain things. When it was my turn he rapidly did a preliminary assessment and isolated the problem -i believe correctly- based on only a few symptoms. He went on to tell me about the various different issues with the repair. He immediately said he was not positive about the position/location/configuration of the likely failed part on my transmission/clutch on my uncommon model car, but that he'd quickly be able to tell once he actually got a look at it. I respect someone that tells it to you straight and is willing to say, "i don't know" (three of my favorite words to hear, honestly): "But I can find out"... I respect that a lot more as I get older.]

The best place to bring your car or truck for service and inspection. Honest people, great service, a joy to know you wont be taken as is the case these days. Andy is the man, the crew is great, easy anytime of day or night dropoff. ***** * Six Stars

I usually do all the maintenance and service work on my vehicles. Due to health issues and time constraints I needed someone to check out and repair the HVAC system on my Durango. Andy came highly recommended from a friend. I made an appointment to bring him my truck, and used the night drop box to drop the truck off the night before my appointment. Andy spent time going over the HVAC system. He was able to repair the system and recharge the refrigerant. I also had him do the NYS vehicle inspection while the truck was in the shop. When I came in to pick up my truck, Andy took the time to explain what work they did. It was now that dreaded time when they go over the invoice. He handed me the invoice, and it was HUNDREDS of dollars less than what the dealer quoted me. When I got in my truck the HVAC system was working perfectly. There also weren't greasy hand prints all over the A-pillar like after I get my vehicle inspected at the dealer or local oil change place. I will still do my own vehicle maintenance and service when possible, but I now have a mechanic that I trust taking any of my vehicles to. If you are looking for an honest, experienced, and reasonably priced mechanic Andy is your man. The only downside is you might have to wait a few days for an appointment because he has so many loyal customers.

Great service, great price, and local.I like to wrench on my own cars when able. Andy is great and this is where I'll be bringing my car only from now on when I dont have the time/cant work on it myself.
