La Chatelaine French Bakery and Bistro

Absolutely loved this place! The employees are great and super helpful. The pastries were delicious and so were the coffees. Highly impressed with this place and will return! If you’re a fan of macarons I highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and although it wasn’t very busy, they had run out of a decent amount of pastries which is to be expected. However, I was still able to order a few with my friends and they were absolutely incredible! The vibe was very cozy and inviting and left me wanting to come back to spend more time here. I ended up getting the Pain au Chocolat which was so good and my friend got the Brioche Royale which she also really enjoyed. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out and hope to come back soon to try more pastries and their other food options!

I came here multiple days in a row for lunch while I was in town! The croque monsieur, Caesar salad, French onion soup, croissants, quiches, baguettes, and sandwiches were all delicious!! Service is quick and the interior is cozy. Highly recommend.

I come here for breakfast almost every weekend this is the best brunch place it’s so good the foods is good and the staffs are all nice.

While we might automatically think of a bakery-centered restaurant and bar as a carb lover's paradise, La Chatelaine also offers a nice range of basic choices for low carb, keto, paleo, and carnivore nutrition. Poached eggs, for example, are not posted on the menu - but the kitchen is happy to accommodate you. The bacon, though not thick-cut, is baked not deep fried, so enjoy some of that. The best thing overall is the atmosphere: warm, dark, wood interior with French music playing in the background. The patio is lovely and large, with quite a few tables and umbrellas. Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner... or just enjoy a nice cup of French roast coffee and take in the vibe.

This is a great place. The food is good and consistent but a bit pricey for lunch if you do not control yourself.

Love the salad and soup. They also have a chicken dish I really like.

I feel like quiche and sandwiches, great place for you.

A friend recommended that I stop in there and try the croissants and chocolate croissants, quite delicious. Ordered a couple baguettes to make croutons with, they were quite tasty.

Will definitely be back to try more of the menu, quite busy for a Saturday lunchtime. Need to be there when they first open and everything is fresh from the oven.

Friendly staff, good prices. Worth checking out, just know the cappuccino is a little too sugary for my taste.

We had our birthday brunch at La Chatelaine. The outdoor seating and weather were wonderful. So was the baguette and French toast with cream.

The staff was fun, sweet, and kind. And hey, we were a lil loud👀 and when my husband saw a staff member, he said, "Sorry we were a little loud." To which she replied, "I love hearing you all laugh... I'm gonna miss it when you leave." How sweet, right?!🥹

Great place to pick up some sweet and savory treats. A bit pricey but each pastry is pretty big. Split the pumpkin pie, fruit tart, and spinach pastry with a few friends. We came here late Sunday morning and the fruit tarts were pretty much all gone (along with the rest of the popular menu items) so swing by earlier for a better selection. The filling would’ve been too sweet if not for the tart blueberries on top. Spinach puff pastry was divine!

Our OSU grad student's absolute favorite place for brunch and for good reason. Exquisite French pastries, menu selection and dining area. An absolute gem in Columbus.

Such a quaint little spot for a leisurely lunch. I had the quiche Lorraine and a cup of delicious french onion soup. The coffee was fresh and the pastries we had for dessert were buttery and perfectly tasty. A special shout out to the croutons in the soup 🤤

I have not been here in years. I met a friend here for lunch upon her request. I'm so glad we chose La Chatelaine French Bakery for our girl's lunch. The atmosphere and the food were great.

Le Chatelaine is an authentic french Cafe Experience, with a wide variety of baked goods, pastries, meals and Coffees! The Ambiance inside is very homey and relaxing, paired with their friendly service every visit here feels welcoming. Been here several times and look forward to every visit.

Great little quick service spot in Upper Arlington. Reminds me of La Madeline, a lot. I had the cinnamon raisin croissant and a cup of tea. They use the higher end Harney and Sons and have a really good assortment to choose from. Service is good and I didn’t feel rushed in making a decision (I can be a little indecisive when things look so good). Patio is perfect on a pretty day.

The pastries here are well made! I also got a latte with hazelnut and it tasted so good! The outdoor seating is really nice also when the weather is good!

Huge thank you to the staff at La Chatelaine in Upper Arlington for our amazing wedding croquembouche! Working with Val to order was so easy, and the croquembouche was beautiful and delicious. Highly recommend!

Now this is a special place. I love the setup. Order your food, make your own coffee, take a number and they bring you your meal. The food was delicious. The bread was so fresh. Just a special place. I am in Columbus for a business trip and when you find places like this it just makes you happy.
