Bar 'Cino Newport

Food was delicious! Their tiramisu is the best tiramisu I’ve ever had!! Never had baked pizza before but we both liked it very much.
Vibes were perfect. Our server knew the wine and was very kind and patient when we couldn’t decide what to order. We appreciate her. Would absolutely recommend and planning to go back there again!

Definitely worth stopping by when you are in Newlport. The RI mushroom bruschetta and grilled pizza are delicious l. And don't forget to order an Amara Spritz. Great food and amazing service 10/10.

Ordered the prosciutto and fig flatbread pizza ($23). Very thin crust as expected and it was delicious! The toppings were spread out neatly and evenly. They provide scissors for you to cut.

Also ordered the crispy maitake mushroom entree ($24). The mushrooms were so juicy. The dish was balanced and light. Disappointed in the pricing given its small size. But this isn’t a place you go to get full.

We went on a weekday around 3pm so it was dead. Service was excellent. Location and atmosphere are great for a date! Beautiful Newport vibes and many shopping areas to meander around before or after eating.

Would definitely come back again!

I've eaten her 5-6 times in the last few months and usually get one of the pizzas. The food is quite good and consistent as is the service. The seating can be crowded with adjacent tables so close you shouldn't share your deepest secrets and the bar stools have no backing and nowhere to put your coat in cold weather but you put up with it.
Get the Peroni on draft-excellent with the pizza!

Fantastic Carbonara, so yum. My boyfriend loved his Tiramisu too and I loved my wine haha. Even better server, such great energy!!! (Hannah was our server) Everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend!

Loved everything I tried here. The bruschetta with tomato confit was excellent and my rigatoni with bolognese was very good and not heavy the way bolognese sauce can sometimes be. I got the chocolate budino to go so I could enjoy it later and thought it was great too. I honestly considered coming back here for dinner the next day.

I didn't have reservations but I was able to eat at the bar and the bartenders were great. I really liked the banana old fashioned and had a nice chat with the bartenders about how to make my own banana simple syrup at home so I could replicate it!

Staff was fabulous, the vibe was lovely! The food the food the food 🥰🥰! Best Cacio E Pepe I have had in years, and the beets❤

Super chilled out place recommended by locals and guides. Beat expectations. Pretty reasonable prices, The grilled pizza was excellent and unexpected to my NY-pizzahound palette. Also loved the homemade chips. Vibe was also great. Bright interior, sidewalk seating, in a very central area. Would happily come back.

Part of the success of any restaurant are of course the ingredients used. I would contend that a big part of what makes Bar ‘Cino so special are the “ingredients” of friendliness and hospitality with which they treat their guests. I recently stopped in to request a reservation for an upcoming special event. Simply put, Paul, the manager on duty, could not have been more accommodating. We can’t wait to celebrate at our favorite restaurant in Newport!

My husband I were in town for a conference and stopped by on a Thursday afternoon lunch. We sat at the bar, chatted with the friendly bartender and enjoyed the Italian farro salad, olives and the roasted rhode island mushrooms pizza. We both had mock-tails, my husband had don’t call me Shirley and I had the spicy pal-no-ma.
I can’t say enough about our meal and our experience. First of all, the staff was superb and Uber friendly. I love that they are 100 % Employee-Owned and it shows. The food that we ordered was delicious and the attention to detail was outstanding. I have a peanut allergy and was amazed and appreciative by the attention with the cute “ allergy” flags and then was asked if I minded them on my plate! We finished off our meal with sharing a pistachio-ricotta-cream layer cake. Superb all around.

I took my mom here for her birthday. Everything/one was excellent from the host to our waitress to the manager and the food!! The manager came over and gave my mom a birthday card, and it was so sweet. We weren't staying for dessert because we had cake at home, but the manager caught us as we got to our car to give us a birthday dessert to take home anyway. My mom felt so special. Thank you for a perfect night!

Delightful! This place came as a recommend from a local and we tried it out! Good food, good service and all around good atmosphere. If you're looking for Italian food with some flair, this is the place. Good wine selection and fun vibe (gotta mesh the two). The place is small, so be prepared to wait if you don't reserve. You can chill in the pocket park across the street while you wait. Check it out!

Salesperson at BR across the street suggested for lunch. Glad we went. Staff was genuinely kind, service fast and food was awesome! Started off with a smoke show cocktail. Nice smokey tequila with coconut purée and other greatness. We ended up splitting the grilled chicken pesto sandwich and the prosciutto and fig jam pizza. Both were amazing! We will definitely be back

This restaurant is phenomenal!! From the food to the service to the music played to the perfect noise level it was a fantastic dinner! Our server was super on top of things and was super friendly. 2 of us had flatbreads and the other had pasta and we were all amazed by how delicious our meals were. I look forward to returning to Newport specifically for this restaurant!

Love this restaurant, every element on each dish serves a purpose. The olives are sublime, the salads are always super tasty, not overloaded with carbs but also not just "a salad". My partners go to is the chianti marsala short rib. We always leave stuffed too the brim as the food is just too good!

Staff are friendly. If your a big group your going to want to book ahead if not grab a spot at the bar and watch the chefs work their magic.

August 2022:
Came here for a light supper. Ordered the kale and Caesar salad with shredded chicken added. This salad was very well made! Even though it's a somewhat simple salad, the chicken was nicely shredded and was at a very good temperature. The kale and romaine lettuce were delicately layered with the right amount of parmesan cheese. Dressing was just the way I liked it. Not heavy and enough dressing coverage to taste the salad ingredients without overpowering each bite with dressing. 👍

I am glad I only had a salad for dinner because I had room for dessert 😀. Took a slice of the pistachio ricotta cake 🍰 to go. That cake was superb! Hats off to the pastry chef who created the cake! I would definitely come back again for more delicious food here. And GET THE CAKE 🍰!!!!

I tried this place today for the first time while visiting Newport and it did not disappoint! The interior is beautiful with a simple and clean style. The food was fresh, light and delicious just the way Mediterranean cuisine should be. The service was also great!

The only bad part about the experience was that the bathroom smelled strongly of urine. I couldn't believe it in an establishment that seemed so nice otherwise. Hopefully they will amend this problem asap. Luckily, everything else made up for it.

Me and my husband went for lunch and it was delicious. The restaurant is really nice and modern. Perfect for a date lunch. What we ordered was different and tasted amazing. The chips are the best. Prices were good and portions were great. They have an espresso machine and their coffee options are good. Dessert was delicious too.

Easy 5 star to give. This food was so flavorful and fresh, the whole group loved it! The focaccia bread was crispy and buttery. The garlic chicken pasta was incredible. The pesto chicken sandwich was really interesting (in a good way). A good balance of pesto, seasoned chicken, greens and a nice crunch with the flatbread crust. All 4 plates we got here were a hit (plus dessert). Portions are decently sized too. Highly recommend coming here! Tiramisu was a hit too.

I've visited this location a handful of times and brought friends to this location. My last visit i took my parents out for dinner, and it wasn't a great experience. The waiter seemed to be having an off day where they never checked on us, missed taken down some of our drinks and meals. Felt like we were bothering her with constantly asking for things that could have been given with one checkup.

Manager did contact me after a survey to reconcile my visit, but I didn't want to pick a certain day I would be arriving. The place is very small. Needless to say I did not hear back from the manager and $180 became talking about how rude the waiter was. It was unfortunate.
