Pour Judgement

My wife and I are vacationing for a quick two day stay in Newport. We came to Pour Judgement at the suggestion of someone who knew of the spot in Providence. We come from a small town and this reminds us of our local watering hole. The patrons are fun and the service is a absolutely stellar. We could not ask for more, this bar made the perfect stop before our nice dinner out on the town. Drinks are poured nicely and the bartenders are unparalleled in their craft.

I was too hungry to get photos but I had a tasty burger along with side of fries with smoked Gouda sauce. Great beer menu. My husband had chicken Marsala and said it was good too

Pourfect place for a pint! The owner was super accomodating and helped us get a table as we were a big group and initially were unable to all sit together.

Great beers on tap, sports screens, solid bar vibes. Will be back!

The food, especially the beet salad, which is the best in the western, world and the fries with cheese sauce (ditto), is terrific. The burger is competitive with the best in NYC. Pasta dishes not so much. The staff is always friendly and super-efficient, even when the place gets crowded (most of the time) and noisy. And that should be VERY noisy. It's not the place for important or intimate conversation. It's "in the rough" but Pour Judgment is Newport's crown jewel!!

I ended up running into this place for a second time in my visit to Newport. first time I met 2 ladies that were awesome, Melissa, and Donna. can't find them. Hope I do so again. then I was there for New Year's Eve by accident after dinner. Had a great time met someone from my actual home town. oh, by the way, the food is good & plentiful and the atmosphere is always popping. Thank you for existing I will be back again

This place is the best place to have amazing food, if you are in New Port just go. The staff is always upbeat and very knowledgeable. They have an extensive menu, specials that are always changing and one of the best wine and beer selections. The owner is super nice and you can see how much he cares and trains his people to insure you have a great time. Every time I am in Newport I stop in and after 50 plus visits I have never been disappointed.

Best burger that I have ever had in my life

Why a great place to visit. Very nice atmosphere, great service and excellent variety of drinks , beers , wines and liquors (which not all bars actually have). The food was made very quickly and delicious. Rost beef sandwich with cheese was beyond my expectations. Everything was very fresh. Friendly staff. Definitely will visit again.

Updated: Still amazing beer. Barrel aged stouts, red sours, Belgiums, and browns. They can also make a great burger and chicken marsala. Atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly/beer people.

Great beer selection, lots of craft options. Stouts for me and sours for the lady. Opens at 1200 not 1100 google.

The food here was really good, I got a burger and it was very well seasoned and the fries were very appetizing. My mom had a salad which was ok, but the chicken was a little dry for her liking. We also got pasta which was really good, with strong flavors. Overall, would recommend.

Great beer and service. Food is good. Small but worth a visit while you are in town.

Love this place. Lots of beers on tap, good bar food, and really good service. It's a small spot that does a great business. Never been disappointed.

Our favorite Newport pub eatery. Seriously upscale and delicious food for a pub plus a great pour selection. Always friendly staff, amazing 80’s alternative soundtrack and an awesome dog on the day we were there greeting all visitors and passers by! Arrive early or be prepared to wait...

So it looks like a dive bar from the outside (ok, it does on the inside too!). But there is a reason why its always packed! The food is certainly not what you might expect (its amazing) and the beer selection is unique and fresh, always something exciting to try. The staff is very friendly, treating you like a regular even if you have only been in twice a year. But be patient, its gonna be busy - its worth it

I love this place so much, hands down. The food is incredible. The beer is awesome and the vibe is super dope. Great bar music in the background. I'm a huge fan of this bar.

First trip to Newport and my girlfriend would not stop talking about how PJs probably has the best burger in RI...I've now committed to trying every burger I can in the state because I don't think anyone will beat the basic perfection that is their hamburger

Waitstaff was super friendly and welcoming to our friendly pup. Dog friendly for pet travelers. They also gave us local recommendations. The food was delicious and fulfilling. Great drink menu. The house beer is “talked about” amongst locals. Highly recommend! Our dog stopped us here while just walking along looking for a place to eat and her scent of smell didn’t fail us. :-)

A great place for a meal as well as a drink. The beer selection is varied and fresh. Our meal was delicious. It is a bar and I saw only Hi top tables.

The food was delicious. The rib eye was tasty and tender, cooked to perfect.

Great spot for some good beer and drinks, also some good food. Loved the vibes here, staff was amazing and kind. Felt very welcomed here. Absolutely loved this spot.
