I'm a hard to please coffee drinker and Empire Tea & Coffee is definitely a 5 star. The cappuccino chocolate loaf is light, not overly sweet and has the cappuccino after taste.

Great place for morning coffee. Friendly staff and a proper corridor. Only wish it came in a proper cup

First time here..got the egg sandwich on a Bolo sweetbread which was amazing. Also got a strawberry bubble tea which was also great..manager also attentive to customers..will be back!

Found this place when I went to Newport. After parking I looked places to have a bite. The location is perfect for sightseeing. The workers are very friendly. The menu has different varieties to choose from. And the Chai Latte is amazing. The atmosphere is great where you can seat and enjoy every little bit. So come by and enjoy this little gem.

Stopped by this place quick in the morning and got a great bagel. They had pre-made breakfast sandwiches as a option if you are looking to get in and out but have an unquenchable hankering for a bacon egg and cheese or something along those lines. They also had a good variety of coffee and tea for sale.

One of the best coffee shops in the USA in my opinion. The staff is super kind and the service is impeccable. Their sausage egg and cheese on a bolo is my favorite breakfast sandwich out of all the coffee shops I’ve ever been to.

If you’re in Newport make Empire your daily coffee instead of Starbucks or Dunkin, you won’t regret it!

Lovely spot, a gem where you can work chill and generally spend time with excellent food and quick service. Lot of seating and our kids 4 and 7 year old had a blast playing scrabble and quirkle. Highly recommended !!

Was in town earlier this week and eager for a good cup of coffee. Stumbled upon the Empire coffee shop and got a cup of their medium roast with almond milk. I enjoyed coming here because everyone was really friendly. The shop roaster was experimenting with some new coffee roasts along with the owner or manager (I think?!). They gave me a sample of a new brew to taste test and chatted with me about the coffee roasting process and answered all my questions. I enjoyed the coffee and the friendliness of the team and will stop by again when I’m in town again :)

Nice coffee spot off the main road. Staff was friendly and the shop itself was clean and inviting. I really enjoyed the fresh coffee and baked cookie my friend and I ordered. Can't wait to visit again!

Friendly staff and great selection of drinks! I tried something out of my “safe” zone and was very happy which my choice.

Best matcha latte I’ve had in a longggg time. Really friendly service and lots of creative options.

This afternoon, a top-notch employee with brightly colored hair (who called me her friend) demonstrated tremendous customer service. This amazing barista made the best iced mocha oat latte - period. Phenomenal. Her friendliness and skills at putting together a superb drink were amazing. I will return to this exemplary coffee shop.

Good spot to chill out and enjoy the ocean breeze. The drinks are good the staff is nice and friendly. Definitely try it.

The menu is nice but simple. It reminds me of a neighborhood version of Starbucks with a local flair. Nice place to relax or get some work done..

A great place to get coffee when you’re on vacation in Newport Rhode Island.

I stopped by yesterday to grab a cool drink and a bite to eat and was impressed by their above-and-beyond customer service and general friendliness. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing as well. Definitely recommend!

While our dogs were playing I asked where to get coffee, without hesitation the woman, who lived in Newport, said - Empire Tea and Coffee on Broadway. I walked over and went there the next 4 mornings. Great local place (also location near Tennis Hall of Fame) that roasts their own beans - coffee is excellent, breakfast sandwiches ... line moves quickly, staff is extremely nice too.

Super prompt and friendly service, great cold brew coffee, and the donut we had was light, delicious, and not greasy at all. Tons of spacious seating with a high chair available as well. Dog friendly so there's a constant parade of cute puppers to look at!

We had a fantastic experience at Empire. The staff friendly from the second we walked in. It is evident that they are dedicated to quality and always looking to experiment and get the most out of every bean. Our cappuccinos were excellent. I wish we had been in town longer to spend more time here, but I'm glad we were able to find a great spot for great coffee!
