I arrived a few minutes before closing, and it was pretty obvious they were in that process. They very kindly offered to serve me and the to go food was excellent. Staff were polite considerate and tolerate of me taking photos. The food was excellent, and I discovered they are dog friendly in the warmer months. That's a huge plus for me. Thanks for a delicious meal. I will be back.

Ok so we had stop in for breakfast and im so glad we did. The monkey wont and didnt disappoint. Cool vibe , the traveling monkey is a cool concept.. the food is spot on homey and delicious and the staff was on par..

Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant for over two weeks with family and it was well worth the wait. We ordered the Spicy Monkey, Spider Monkey, Southern Style Biscuits, and the Swiss Patty Melt which were all outstanding. Staff was friendly and attentive especially our server Mariana. Wish I had taken some photo's but we all just dug in. Will definitely be back.

Before hitting the road home from our trip to Rhode Island we stopped in The Hungry Monkey for breakfast. While all of the food was delicious, if you are a peanut butter lover like me the Chimpanzee is definitely the way to go 😋. The place was super cute and they have the nicest staff. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

I was actually headed to a different location for breakfast in Newport Rhode Island. When I heard my favorite kind of music coming from the hungry monkey I immediately turned around, went in and was pleasantly greeted by our server, Christina!! The quaint little restaurant was decorated with pictures and history of the hungry Monkey’s travels over the years. I was very interested in the monkeys journey and all the fun places he has been. Then our breakfast was served and oh my gosh delicious! My daughter and I had the Irish eggs Benedict and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. My husband had an omelette with chorizo and he said his was delicious as well. The food was hot and tasty. I recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting the Newport Rhode Island area!! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

The wait staff was super friendly and patient. I was there with my siblings and nephew the food was very delicious. There was hardly any wait time at all for the food. Also another waiter, an older gentleman, who wasn't even our waiter brought crayons and paper to the table to help out with the little one squirming around in his seat aka it distracted him for a bit so the adults could eat. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Overall a great restaurant that has great food and a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The serving sizes are pretty big so you definitely get your money's worth. The service is great even with the restaurant being busy. Definitely worth a visit, but get there early as it usually stays pretty full.

I get breakfast there 2 to 3 times a week. My usual is the 2 egg meal that comes with home fries and toast. I will occasionally add bacon or one of their hashes. Their chourico hash is excellent. I've also had their southern style biscuits which comes with sausage gravy. It's pretty good. For lunch, my usual go to is the Thanksgiving sandwich. You can reminisce about those first few days after Thanksgiving everyday. Overall, the food is good, there's a cozy atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you're unsure where to eat in Newport or don't want to spend a fortune at the other restaurants, give The Hungry Monkey a try.

Hungry Monkey in Newport exceeded our expectations! Our last meal there was the highlight of our trip. The food was amazing, making it the perfect way to end our Newport visit. Singing Happy Birthday to Mama added a special touch, and meeting the owner was a delightful bonus. Highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience!

Fast Service, as a Breakfast cook myself Food was Fantastic and I Lover of all thing Gorilla lol this Place Nailed it. Great little Local Spot , even parking wasn't a problem everything was gr8 experience

We eat at Hungry Monkey every week and love it! They have the best corned beef hash around and the coffee is fantastic. We always get great service from the friendly staff and look forward to eating there every weekend! My favorite dish is the Irish Benny (scrambled eggs on top of corned beef hash and english muffins with hollandaise sauce). We highly recommend Hungry Monkey!

My girlfriends & I had such a fun lunch at the Hungry Monkey! The food was delicious and the service was so friendly - the owner chatted with us and told us some of the history of the restaurant. It was lovely and we will be back for sure.

Cute place with tasty food, generous portions, and lovely staff. Overall positive experience. Highly reccomend any of their french toast dishes. They're huge and fluffy and delicious. Met the owner too. Seems like a great guy who is really invested in the resturant.

Very good breakfasts, modest to elaborate. Small bare table restaurant that is for visitors, but also the locals. Great start for both days we were there. And miles better than the motel's "continental breakfast," which we skipped.
Popular enough that we had to wait, 15-20 minutes, but there's an antique shop nearby.

I've been driving past this place for a long time. Today, I stopped in and had chowder and a stuffie. WHY HAVE I WAITED SO LONG?! Both were stuffed with tender clams and meat. The chowder was white (not thick) with a buttery, old school flavor I remember growing up with. I will return for more.

Great spot for breakfast. Ordered banana and bacon pancakes and they were the fluffiest pancakes I have ever had. Our server Jen was really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Not only a great breakfast place but the lunch was absolutely delicious. The staff is so friendly I’m definitely coming back to try the homemade stuffies and clam chowder!

The fruit is so fresh(strawberries, bananas, pineapple and blueberries.. none of that gross melon that no one eats 😂), My eggs Florentine was perfect. I love my homefries well done & they definitely understood the assignment 🤤 Our server Leanne was so friendly. Thank you!

I had the opportunity to stop by this family owned eatery and walked into a packed morning crowd. The counter space wasn't even available. My sister and I ended up sharing a table with the owner and had a great conversation. The poached eggs over corned beef hash and the omlette with corned beef hash were both delicious. Sis added a side of bacon😋 very friendly staff and the food arrived quickly in spite of a very large crowd. Highly recommend...
