Edward B. Coffey, DDS MS - Encinitas Dental Art

I am a 55 year old Surfer born and raised in So Cal. I have always taken care of my teeth and understood the importance of good dental care. Finding a excellent dentist and team is not really easy, as most are always pumping sales and trying to pay off expensive in house equipment.

Dr. Coffey was referred to my wife and myself by a trusted friend. Immediately my wife and I were impressed by his professionalism and personal approach to dental care. My wife’s first experience was an emergency crown that kept falling off for the 3rd time from a another DDS. She called Dr. Coffey and he came in on a Sunday to help and solve the problem. I immediately got the impression that he is a master of his craft.

Today I had my first crown and was blown away how much work was done by him in such a short time. I have never been afraid of shots, but for you that are, I never felt one shot! He did his Jedi wiggle trick and I never felt the needle, not one time!

Personality wise he is a super nice (genuine) person and I recommend everyone I know to go to him. There is no sales no pressure, just a good wholesome family environment. The staff is incredibly awesome and you can tell they like to be there.

Dr. Coffey is by far the best dentist ever! Dr Coffey does beautiful high quality work, his prices are good based on such awesome quality. His staff has been with him forever which speaks volumes. They too are friendly smart, and do a fabulous job. I have used Dr. Coffey as my dentist for 30+ years now. Nothing compares to his fine quality dental work.

I have been Dr Coffey’s patient for over 25 years. He has come out on Thanksgiving night for an emergency for me. He is incredibly skillful and knowledgeable and provides top quality care. His office staff are professional and well trained, many have worked for him for decades. He always provides the most appropriate treatment options. Thank you!

My family has been going to Dr. Coffey's office for 16 years. The highest level of professionalism and care. Excellent cleanings, office staff and when work needs to be done I am always confident in Dr. Coffey's care. He is highly skilled with state-of-the-art equipment. Also they were very flexible and kind when my adult autistic son started getting his teeth cleaned.

I always enjoy going to see Dr Coffey and his staff. They're consistently nice, work with my dental plan, and make my going to the dentist easy. I also appreciate being able to watch TV while they do work on my teeth! Dr. Coffey has excellent manners and extremely calm and kind. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Coffey and his staff were beyond wonderful to work with, Barbara his dental tech was a great assist, incredibly friendly and helpful. As a newly returned resident to North County from LA I am currently without a dentist and was very fortunate to come across this office. I look forward to returned visits with them which is rare to say!

Dr. Coffey and his amazing crew have really changed my attitude about going to the dentist. I have been seeing Dr. Coffey for many years for several reasons: he's so good at what he does, he is very reasonable, and it's always fun. Really! This past week he repaired a chipped front tooth (can't even tell where it was now) and got my teeth cleaned by the most delightful hygienist ever, Stephanie! She did a great job and made it so fun! The team, from front office to Hygienist to Dr. Coffey himself were friendly and professional. I am new to Dr. Coffey because my former dentist missed an infection and I wound up having a molar extracted. Dr. Coffey took the time to examine my bite and actually recommended I NOT bother with an implant. He said he'd be glad to take my money but that unless I was having trouble chewing/eating (which I am not) then save it for something else. I appreciate his "old school", practical approach. AND my teeth are the cleanest they've been since I moved to San Diego County. Thanks Michelle.

This is the best dental office our family has ever been to. Dr. Coffey is super nice, kind, and very professional. The entire staff is very helpful and courteous. Had a dental cleaning and Angela was superb!

The ladies at Reception are very personable and professional. My hygienist at this appointment, Claudia, is equally personable and professional. Despite the fact that I got caught in very unexpected traffic delay and was nearly 20 minutes late for my appointment, the staff did not skip a beat to accomplish my treatment.

Wow, just met Dr. Coffey today. What a great man! He was very thorough and made us feel very comfortable. It was great to see he uses innovative equipment. Viewing the inside of your mouth via the television screen on the ceiling was brilliant. I would recommend Dr. Coffey to anyone in the Encinitas and surrounds areas.

Dr Coffey and his staff are at the top of their game. They are caring, efficient and professional. I wish all businesses were run with the ethical standards and personal service I receive here. They have gone above and beyond for me and my mouth. My wife and I love them, you will too.

This was my first visit to Dr. Ed Coffey, and without exaggeration, it was the best experience I've had in a dental office in years! He took care of my missing front tooth very professionally, and didn't "hurt" me at all.

I have an HMO and was VERY dissatisfied with the dentist my plan offered. There was a common complaint that the HMO dentists over-treated, providing services that were unnecessary.
Dr. Coffey was recommended to me by a neighbor who is a retired dental hygienist. So I gave him a try, knowing that I'd have to pay out of pocket.
I am SO PLEASED with him and his staff. Everyone was professional, explained what they were doing, and treated me very respectfully. My reference point for a standard of excellence was my old dentist, Dr. Raymond Lee of La Cañada, whom I went to for >20 years before moving to Encinitas. After meeting Dr. Coffey, I experienced deja vu, when he was assessing my dental X-rays and said verbatim what Dr. Lee had told me!! No attempts to give me anything that wasn't needed.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Coffey. You will NOT be disappointed!

Very impressed with Dr. Coffey and rest of staff. They took me in quick when I had a last minute emergency and gave me plenty of options with different budgets. Dr. Coffey made me feel extremely comfortable and I wish I knew about him when I were a kid. Can’t recommend them enough.
