Nicely's Restaurant

Wish they had better reviews, this place was great! We stopped for breakfast driving through and our initial restaurant we planned to stopped at was closed for the season so we walked down to the diner and I’m so glad we did! We both had omelets and toast and a side of chocolate chip pancakes. Big servings and endless coffee!

The cinnamon rolls are a must try. They are absolutely huge and delicious. Biggest cinnamon roll I've ever seen. Comes out on a dinner plate.

This is the perfect little spot to stop in after visiting the Tufas at Mono Lake or just passing through and you are hungry. The place inside is comfortable and clean. The restrooms are also neat and clean. The help was super nice and on their game. Mike’s favorite was my favorite. The fries were crisp and hot. The burger was cooked to perfection. If I ever go by this way again I will stop because I am still jonesing for another of Mike’s Favorite sandwiches.

Nicely’s, this beautiful vintage American style restaurant is the complete breakfast expectation one has when traveling to the USA. From the decoration to the way of service all is in style. First the waiter comes to take a drink order this waiter can not take food orders, then the food order waiter comes and takes your order. The menu is full and needs some study and help of the friendly waitress to come to a conclusion of what we wanted to order. The food arrived and our table became more of a Turkish breakfast full with the most delicious food. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, the most delicious fluffy pancakes and coffee. We enjoyed the breakfast enormous what was far to much of course. We always have our eyes bigger then our stomachs. When ever coming thru 51343 US-395, Lee Vining, CA 93541, United States. Just stop and hop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely great dining experience. The service was great, the food was delish (we shared the fried chicken dinner and added an extra salad), and the village of Lee Vining is a charmer!

A really good local place to have breakfast. I ordered a breakfast combo with pancakes, eggs, and corned beef. The food was tasty and satisfying. The day before I got Fried Chicken and I loved it because the saltiness was just right and not too oily, yet crispy. I shared a Pastrami Reuben sandwich and it was also delicious.

I went to Lee Vining after a poor night's sleep at 9000 feet needing warmth and water. Stopped in the first diner that was open. Nicely's is a classic diner with classic diner food. What was special is the food was perfectly cooked. The hash browns were crispy. The eggs were just as I ordered them (over medium, whites set and yolks runny). The English muffin spent enough time in the toaster to get crispy and a bit caramelized. And the staff was kind and patient as I tried to wake up. I will admit the coffee was not good. It too was classic diner food. You can only take it so far. I was well fed for the hike up Mono Pass.

Lee Vining is a small town and this cafe is a classic example of an old school resteraunt. It has cute leather booths and a coffee counter. Service was quick and the food tasted homemade. It's a great place to eat if visiting Mono Lake /Yosemite/ or any attraction nearby. I would recommend it and eat here again if I ever come back to the area.

Stopped here on my way from San Francisco to Vegas. Great customer service! Delicious food! I definitely got more than I thought :) so it was nice to have leftovers!! This will become a must stop when I drive by!

Lovely place... been here everytime we are in the Mono lake region. Food is delicious and comforting. Very conveniently located. Good and relaxing place.

This is a 55 year old diner playing 50's music and serving some quality food, especially the Nicely's fried chicken. Staff was nice, no fuss. Highly recommend if hungry while passing through town. Worth the drive from Mammoth too.

We got in late and it was the only option around Mono Lake. Went in with no expectations but it was honestly great food and service.

Food and coffee is wonderful, relaxed atmosphere with fast and friendly staff. Their homemade sausage is incredible! They have classic music playing over the radio and it reminds me of when I was little and going out with my grandparents for Sunday brunch.

This place is lovely! It should have great reviews. 50s diner with great service and delightful, reasonably priced food. If this was in the Bay Area, there would be too many writes ups and you couldn’t get a spot. So enjoy the quaint, pleasant experience of Nicely’s while you’re out here!

Wow, so much better than I expected here in Lee Vining. I had the special Pork leg, which came with a salad with dressing, and a bread roll. There was a ton of sliced pork, mashed potato, and stuffing, with a side of green beans, and apple sauce. My partner had a chicken tostada which looked fresh and tasty. Totally recommend this place. It was busy so the service wasn’t great on the follow up, but the food came quickly.

Classic American diner type food. I first stopped here in 1989 with my father and when I am back in Lee Vining, I always try to go.
Probably stopped in at least a half a dozen times over the years and never been disappointed.

The chicken special is delightful :) Nicelys is also the only place open for dinner during the winter... we were thankful for the full bar, good prices, and great service!

Great little place on the drive from Reno to Anaheim. Fantastic coffee and Reuben.
