Tom Yancey Roofing is the best!! We spoke with many roofing companies in preparing to have our roof replaced and are so glad that we chose Tom Yancey Roofing! Adrian was prompt in getting us a quote, was competitive with the price and always answered our phone calls throughout the process. Adrian was so helpful and knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. Our old roof had a few leaks and I felt they made us a priority in there schedule during this stormy January/February. The crew was efficient, on time and there when they said they would be. Marlo was also very helpful and kind on the phone. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family! My roof looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier with it! Tom Yancey Company just finished putting my new roof on. So many contractors, who do you choose? Yancey put the roof on 23 years ago so I called them. Evertbody I dealt with was great. We got a few estimates prior to deciding to go with Tom Yancey, and although their price was not the absolute lowest, it was reasonable, especially considering what they included in the bid. He was very upfront about the potential for additional costs if problems arose (a few did arise but were dealt with very quickly and professionally). He also made it clear that the work is done by his employees, not subcontractors.

Speaking of employees, we also had good experiences with Marlo in the office who kept us apprised of timelines and any issues. Once work commenced, Jonathan and Sean took charge of the hands-on work and they really busted their humps. Considering the temperatures at the time we were even more impressed with how they attacked the project. They are obviously very skilled and thorough which showed in the final result. The roof and the gutters look phenomenal and the house has attained a whole new level of curb appeal.

We are super happy with the result, and it was as painless as it could have been. We absolutely recommend them if you need roofing work done!

The Tom Yancey Company was exceptional in all facets on everything we needed for our reroof.
New shingles, new venting, installation of new skylight, much improved hog valley and all dry rot repair as needed. Tear off was completed at lightning speed and Scott was our guy for all the rest until completion. He did all the work and was responsive to all of our questions.
The old man (Tom) was responsible for the beginning drone pictures and quote as well as the finish pictures and recap.
The office manager Marlo handled all of the paper work professionally.
The price was comparable to all other bids.
Overall a great experience and very professional! We made a great choice of companies.

For starters, these guys actually show up. I won't name names, but we called two other companies before Tom Yancey Company, and both the other companies flaked on us. I'm like, "Why even book an appointment with me? Just tell me you aren't interested?"

Anyway, we had a roof leak, and water was filling up a light fixture, and needless to say, we were worried about more than just water damage. Tom Yancey Company sent someone right away, and he was even able to scamper up a ladder and get the leak stopped on the spot to hold us over until the larger problem could be fixed.

They sent us an estimate for the work straight away, and were very clear on what the work would entail. They also said there were a couple of things that might also be an issue once they got the roof torn open, so they quoted a worst-case scenario, just to be totally up front. We agreed, and they set a timeframe (weather dependent) on when that would happen.

Long story short (or at least if not short, finally coming to an end), they got the work done, within the time frame, and, best of all, under the quote they gave. To be honest, I'm too old and too fat to be going up ladders, and even if I did haul my behemoth backside up there to look, I wouldn't have a clue what I was looking at anyway. So, they could have maxed out my bill, full-on worst-case-scenario pricing, and I would have never known the difference.

But they didn't.

So, if you need a company that will shoot straight with you, and do what they say they will, when they say they will, the Tom Yancey Company is who you are looking for.

Awesome service, Got my complete roof redone with all new vents and gutters. Couldn't be happier with the job they did. Roof looks better then it ever has. House is much cooler now. Team is very knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone who needs any roof work. Thank you for doing such a good job.

Did due diligence and had 5 estimates for roof replacement. Of all of them Yancy was the most professional proposal and the lowest!! On site staff JP and Spencer were awesome very professional kept be updated with any problems and worked in the blazing heat!!and on a Saturday to finish the job.

Tom Yancey company did a very good installation. They did not try to sell something that we did not need, while ensuring that our installation would more than qualify for the 50 year warranty. Pricing was competitive and quality materials were used. Attention to details satisfied me. I received a quality installation!

I had quite a large job with
what I thought was just a leak in my garage. Several contractors thought they fixed this issue. The next rain, caused more damage and it teaveled into my sons room. .Adrian was a ROCK STAR! Mr. Yancey, you best hold onto that employee!

Tom Yancey did the final inspection on my roof today. The whole process was excellent. Tom and his employees were all exceptional. From estimate to installation, I was very happy with the contact I had with him and his staff.

I got bids form several companies and Tom Yancey stood out. He was personable, punctual and knowledgeable. His price was competitive, the quality of work was excellent and so was the customer service. It was an easy decision to go with his company and we are glad we did.

They did a reroof from old cedar shake to a new composite roof. They also wrapped the house in gutters and installed a skylight. They worked fast and did an outstanding job. I have already recommended this company to friends and family. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Tom and his crew were a pleasure to work with.

I would definitely recommend the Tom Yancey Company without reservation. I really appreciated the work crew, truly one of the most conscientious work crews I have ever had on my property. They were courteous, professional, thorough and thoughtful from the first day on the job. And, Tom Yancey was accessible throughout the project, always addressing my questions or concerns with great patience and honesty. The new roof and solar tubes look great and I'm confident the new insulation is also top grade.

The crew was very professional and worked well together. I was amazed at how clean they left our lot every day. It was a tough job with 3 or 4 layers of previous shingles that needed to be removed. None of the crew ever complained and again they left our yard/lot spotless. I would hire them again for sure.

Tom Yancey Roofing in Carmichael is exceptional! I recently had my entire house reroofed, new attic insulation blown in, new gutters, reroof and skylight replacement of back patio and two really cool interior skylights installed in my house.

I am really inexperienced when it came to a large project like this, did a lot of research and had 3 complete estimates done. My goal was I wanted someone to handle everything for me - I didn't want to worry about the permit process, coordinating anything or having to buy anything myself. Although all 3 basic estimates came is within $500 of each other, Tom Yancey stood out because he gave the most complete estimate (3 page document!), outlining details and options, he is the only one who when on the roof took detailed pictures of everything and did a full presentation of everything to me, brought samples of everything out that I could touch, and he was the only one who followed up with me after the estimate.

Job went very well. Started on a Tuesday, ended the following Wednesday. The tearoff was done very cleanly and completed start to finish within 2 hours the first day! The job itself was done by Mark & Allen who are two great guys, very thorough and know what they're doing (and actually were fun to have around my house - I'll miss them!) They both have been with the company for ages!

Every single part of the job was coordinated flawlessly from start to finish! Tom came out the final day to review everything, take after pictures comparing the before pictures and sharing and explaining everything to me, and we reviewed everything. There were a few minor items that needed follow-up and I will admit that did take a while to complete due to their schedule, but overall I am 100% satisfied with their work! Absolutely love the new look of my house and expecially LOVE the interior skylights! If you have ever considered getting them, go for it!

I would not hesitate to refer them or use them again. In fact, I have actually referred two people to Tom Yancey roofing, one of them who is having her project scheduled as we speak!
