Yellowstone Safari Company

Today we took a 1 day winter wildlife safari with Zach and it was amazing! We saw so many animals that we’ve never seen up close and personal before: Bison, elk, big horn sheep, mountain goats, wolves, coyote, pronghorn and mule deer. Zach was so fun to hang out with, incredibly knowledgeable and all around delight. Besides our photos, Zach also took amazing photos and videos through a special long range scope and sent it to us. Great memories. Highly recommended!

Wait...are there six stars? We (two couples) booked the 2 Day Winter Wolves & Wildlife Safari. WHAT AN AMAZING two days. Our guide was Gabrielle Murray. She was fantastic. Super knowledgeable and incredibly engaging. We witnessed wolves (fleetingly), bison, moose -- and (yes) mating coyotes feasting on a carcass. A slight hitch in pickup was quickly remedied -- and profusely apologized for. Meals were terrific. The accommodation was simple, but lovely. Communication with the company was clear and always immediate. Cannot recommend this company enough...and do ask for Gabrielle if you can. Thank you so much Yellowstone Safari Co. My fiancee and I had a wonderful time today. Kelsey was our tour guide was amazing. She was able to answer all 900 of our questions. Lol. She was so knowledgeable. She took care of us like we were family. I highly recommend using this company to see Yellowstone. Got to see so much wildlife and historical spots.

This was by far the most incredible day of our 10 day vacation in Wyoming/Montana. Our guide Kelsey was absolutely amazing!! She made the day so special for us. Her energy and passion for the park was contagious! She offered so many fascinating details about the animals, vegetation and geology. I was totally enthralled by all the facts she shared during our day. She has a ton of knowledge, and it made seeing the park so much more fun and interesting. The tour was so well organized and Kelsey made sure we got to all the sights. Without her, we would’ve missed some really amazing stops that weren’t even on our radar. She took pictures for my husband and me throughout the day which was so nice too. The lunch was delicious and the car was super comfy. We were lucky enough to see 2 bears, a huge elk, lots of bison! This trip was worth every penny and I would recommend it 100%!!!

Zach was our guide and did a phenomenal job of showing us everything we could see in the 8+ hours we were with him. The tour did so much more than what we could have ever seen on our own. We went with a private safari just my husband and I. We didn’t want to be held up with a group of strangers. It was worth the price of admission. We got some amazing pictures and learned a lot from the fun stories Zach told us. We had some great snacks hot tea and coffee. The box lunch as surprisingly very good. You don’t expect much from a boxed lunch on a tour. We had sandwiches chips and a delicious brownie. Kudos to the caterer. All in all I highly recommend using them and Zach.

Absolutely perfect trip! This company is hands-down the best. We had the lovely Tiffany for a private tour. That's the best decision we made while in Montana. She was fabulous-picked us up on time (early actually), she was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we all had a memorable time. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely book with Yellowstone Safari Company.

My family did a 5 day guided tour through yellowstone and Teton Park. Nate was our guide and was amazing. We stayed in Silver Gate, West yellowstone, and Jackson. We were very lucky to be able to see all of the big 5 in yellowstone. Nate was flexible with us with sunrise and sunset trips for the best animal viewing, very knowledgeable of the park, and its history. This is the second time we visited these areas and would highly recommend taking the time to do this trip. In addition to the wildlife, we saw all the highlights of the parks had great food the entire time. I am sure there are other great guides within this company, but maybe you could request Nate he was so great.

Randolph got us in front of bears, wolves, moose, mountain goats, and all sorts of other stuff. It was an easy, and enjoyable day and would highly recommend the Yellowstone wildlife safari. Thanks for sharing the park and your knowledge of it with us!

We had Gary as our guide for our tour. He took us to the best of Yellowstone. He even gave us great tips and tricks for exploring on our own. Definitely a must do!

This company is deserving of more than 5 stars. Enjoyed a full-day and private guided trek around the North Loop of Yellowstone with Kelsey, ecologist and wildlife guru. She is a fantastic guide! We especially enjoyed our picnic in the Lamar Valley seeing grizzlies, scores of bison and their red dog babies, and so much more. I’m a bird nerd and Kelsey was more than accommodating. Thank you so much! My husband and I will be sure to book you again for a winter wolf safari soon.

Just got back after a great tour with Mike, he was beyond knowledgeable and even did some adjusting to the tour to fit in things we wanted to see. He got us to Old Faithful for an early eruption which allowed us to fit in a few other spots. He got us to the prismatic spring at the right time where it was super clear to see. Would definitely recommend!!

One small suggestion, trip advisor kind of lays out what seems like an itinerary in the description. This makes it seem like you will hit all those listed spots… unfortunately that’s not really how the day might go, so just talk with you’re guide before you depart and all should be well!! :)

My husband and I did 3 days of private tours in late February 2024. It was wonderful! We did a Winter Wildlife Safari, a second day with snowshoeing and a third day with a Big Sky Adventure. We loved the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, even though it was snowing heavily. I'm glad we chose to go. The office staff at YSC was great in helping us plan our trip and choose the best options. Our guide Randolph was knowledgeable, a great spotter, and a pleasant person to be around. He really listened to what we wanted to see and do, and was very flexible. Plus, we were happy that we didn't need to drive in the winter weather! We saved money by choosing 3 single days instead of a 3-day tour, because we booked our own lodging and dinners. They picked us up and dropped us off at our lodging, so we didn't need to rent a car. We had an Uber for the trip to and from the airport. If you have a chance to go - you should! Yellowstone in winter is stunning!

We had the pleasure of taking the full day wild life tour of Yellowstone. We cannot stop talking about how amazing our trip was! Our guides, Scott and Kathleen, were so knowledgeable and made the trip wonderful. Both of our guides knew the best places to look for the different types of wildlife. My favorite was our mama bear with her two cubs spotting. The guides assisted us with binoculars and had scopes, which made it feel like the animals were right next to us! Snacks, a delicious lunch, and reusable water bottles were all provided. This tour was very well organized and I can’t wait to try out one of their other tours!

Our guide Jeff, was absolutely THE BEST! He greeted our group of four with a smile and within minutes we all felt like we’d been friends for years. Jeff’s expertise about Yellowstone and the National Parks in general made our visit so much more interesting and educational. On a side note, he is also an amazing photographer and I was totally able to “geek out” on photography stuff! “I wish I had for arms so I could give YSC four thumbs up!”👍🏾 👍🏽👍🏼👍🏻

Could not have asked for a better experience with our guide, Gary! He went above and beyond showing us the "best of Yellowstone" including timing our arrival at Old Faithful literally as it went off. He was so patient with our large crew, including 5 kids and a few illnesses along the way. He was so kind and extremely knowledgeable. We will be back and will request Gary again!

This is a must do! Our guide, Andrea, was phenomenal. He was super informative and helped us make the most of our trip. We did the one day safari tour in the middle of March and loved the scenery, plus little to no crowds of people. We were lucky enough to see wolves, coyote, bear, bison, elk, and bighorn sheep. You won’t regret it!

Our guide, Gary Vodehnal, made this trip our favorite National Parks visit to date. In addition to mapping out our comfortable cabin stays, and fitting our meals to whatever we asked, Gary used his vast experience to see we maximized every moment of the Yellowstone & Grand Teton National park experience. He knew where to take us for the best photo ops, the best times to avoid crowds, and made sure we saw 99% of the wildlife the parks had to offer. If we could hire Gary to show us the rest of the National Parks, we would be so lucky. By far, the best guided tour. Highly recommended.

Scott was the perfect guide! He has a degree in wildlife biology and really knows the animals and the park, including those places not on the map. He was flexible and accommodating all around, and gave us insights that we would not otherwise have known. We were very happy with our experience with Yellowstone Safari and with Scott.
