Clearwater Physical Therapy

Clearwater is an excellent practice. I had been out and unable to run for four months with what I thought was an Achilles injury when I went to see Sam (the lead physical therapist). He identified that my plantaris, a muscle next to the Achilles, was also injured, and recommended specific strength exercises for it. I was back running two weeks later and after two months I am able to run over 30 miles per week with no pain. Highly recommend!!

I have seen Sam at Clearwater off and on for over a year for an issue that flares up occasionally. He is acutely aware of the extent of my limitations when we start and is able to dial in gentle stretching to loosen and relax my injury. Then, as I get my range of motion back, he gives me progressively harder stretches and stability exercises to strengthen and loosen my problem areas. Sam has taken me from bed-ridden agony to recovered multiple times after injuries. He got me back on my feet in time for me to complete several independent contracting projects. He has literally saved my career. I cannot reccomend him enough.

Had a great experience at Clearwater, from the front desk workers to the direct patient care. The staff are knowledgeable, encouraging, and really dedicated to helping patients get better! The clinic is comfortable and clean and it’s great to have the gym next door. Sam (Physical Therapist) cares deeply about his work and goes above and beyond in patient care, with creativity and compassion.

Have been seeing Shellene at Clearwater Physical Therapy for my injured shoulder. Her knowledge of how the shoulder works & moves as well as how to properly rehab it has been great. She is also very familiar with workout routines and is able to easily relate when you discuss movements that cause pain. The clinic is friendly, clean & professional. Overall it’s been a very good experience.

I am editing my review since Sam goes above and beyond as a physical therapist. I appreciate his kind demeanor matched with an equal amount of seriousness. It is both enjoyable and productive to be seen by Sam. I have recovered from all of my injuries and feel my success is due to his opinion and rehab direction.

Given the option, I would not go anywhere else in town.

Incredible PT! Therapists are very knowledgable and orientate our time together around my personal strength & healing goals as a professional athlete. Taking the time to build strong relationships with their patients and other medical professionals involved has lead to phenomenal results in the recovery process.

Impressive and professional with exceptional patient communication. My 16 year old son had knee pain for 2 years, saw other physical therapists, and continued with pain and limitation and no improvement. We sought care out of town and went to Clearwater. In one hour Dr. McDowell assessed the problem, clearly communicated to us what was causing the pain, prescribed the fix and detailed the home stretching regimen. My 16 year old is nearly back to normal in one month. He told me the other day he thought he was going to suffer knee pain forever and now he feels great. Thank you, Milica!

I’ve been going here for physical therapy for over two years. I’m an avid runner and they have helped me recover from numerous injuries. I trust any of the physical therapists in their office. They’re all athletes of some sort and understand a variety of sports and what is needed to prevent and treat sport-specific injuries.

Shelby has been amazing, she is a great trainer, she keeps the tempo up and is always making mechanical suggestions. 5 stars isn’t enough

Ivy is an amazing therapist!

Milica measured me for a knee brace and failed to get it adjusted in a timely fashion and as a result caused another blood clot in my left leg. It also caused nerve damage because of the compression spots from the brace. I don't feel 3/4 of my left foot or 1/2 of my left calf. An Orthopedic Surgeon didn't know which of the compression spots to release and told me they could do more damage than good. At this point until I lose total feeling in my leg they don't want to do anything.
