Jason's Deli

I absolutely loves Jason's deli. You get your money's worth for sure!! Everything is so good I have never had a bad experience. I work two stores down so its convenient but even if I didnt work there i would come here. They have HUGE sweet potatoes, I love the papa verde and the Santa fe sandwich. Everything is so so good and the people are so nice and funny. Love chatting when I pick my food up.

The service is good and it's a very quiet place. Perfect for those introverts that like to get out yet enjoy peace and quiet. The food is also good and the prices are very moderate. No complaints.

Excellent fresh salad bar, clean, and no spoiled items. It was also not busy so there was no line and wait. Staff was friendly.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, I love doing curbside, they always have my order ready and are waiting for me, which is a Godsend with a bouncing six-year-old boy !!! Food is always delicious and fresh, full of flavor !!! The restaurant is very clean with lots of seating, inside and out, and a great salad bar, drink selection, and free ice cream !!

4:30pm on a Saturday .... there is one read it one employee in this store. She is manning the register, cooking, taking care of the salad bar (which by the way is full), answering the phone and cleaning tables. She is calm, collective, polite and still smiling. She never turned anyone away ... even on the phone, just politely told them it will be a bit longer than standard. She sets the bar for what an outstanding employee is! Thank you and you deserve 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!

Ate lunch here and had the salad bar. This is a good place just needs some tweaks. I had to tell the employees that there was no lettuce or cucumbers on the bar. None of the salad dressings weren't labeled so I had to guess what was what. The counters by the drink/ice cream area need a deep clean. The ice cream machine was broken and no sign indicating it was. Me and two small children were big time disappointed.

6-1-22 Update: Ate lunch here again and had the salad bar. Everything was great!!.The Ice cream machine was working and the salad bar was well stocked with all fresh stuff. All looked Clean!. Great Job!

I came in today with a group. The young woman who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Mediterranean Turkey wrap and it was great. My food came out quickly. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere upbeat and comfortable. The manager stopped by our table and checked on us. She was very nice. We will definitely be returning. The free ice cream was also a plus.

Listen, I’m not trying to be dramatic, but this place is top tier! I had the smoked turkey breast, on a buttered croissant. Sounds simple, right? I thought it was until I ate it. Ordered another one immediately after for lunch the next day (I’m on Yorktown and they can’t come on base). I’m not sure what they did to this sandwich, but it was perfect.

Great service and great food selection. From soups to salads to sandwiches of almost any style. Nice ice cream machine for an added treat. The Muffaletta comes on 2 plates and can be split between two or 4 people. I just got a taste of my son's and it was delicious. A great order if you want to some there and save the rest for later.

Skip Taste, go here. I went here after being disappointed several times with the microscopic, overpriced salads from Taste served with a side of attitude and “you better take me 25% for taking your order”, or the wilted old salads from Salad Creations. Not to mention the disappointing salad bar at Whole Foods. Ugh. This salad bar is immaculately fresh and well-maintained. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Plus it’s an amazing deal, all you can eat for under 10 bucks. Or get it to go and fill your container to the brim. Definitely my go to place for salads in town. I don’t write many reviews, but this was amazing!

My daughter ordered the food for me. Food: 10/10 Delivery: 11/10. Delivery was lightning fast! My order was expected to come 30 mins more but they got it delivered at my house earlier than expected time. Received my food while it was still hot, the nice delivery lady even greeted my dog before and after dropping the food. Will likely do an online order again.

I came in for a Plain Jane baked potato but there would be a 25 minute wait. I ordered two potatoes and returned 30 minutes later. Due to circumstances beyond Tori's control the baked potatoes were not ready. The oven broke! Tori was determined to make it right for me. I had a sandwich and chili instead. Tori told me about the rewards program and offered me a cookie for waiting so patiently. I will be back for the baked potato later. Thank you Tori for the excellent customer service.

The evening shift at the Newport News location is amazing. They are friendly and provide wonderful swift service every time I come in. Jason's Deli is really winning with this crew. Thank you for your hard work!!!

What an enjoyable lunch. The staff were polite and extremely friendly. The food was exactly what I expected and tasted great.

My Reuben sandwich and seafood gumbo soup tasted amazing. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my dining experience.

I stopped in Jason's on the way to an appointment. I was delighted to know that they have their menu items available to serve. So many restaurants uring COVID do not. The employees were masked and very helpful. There is also a patio area to eat on. The restaurant was very clean. I recommend this particular Jason's here in Newport News

My second favorite sandwich place. I love Jason's Deli. The food is always great, though the fruit could stand to be a little fresher. Well the strawberry's anyway. That can be forgiven by the excellent sandwiches and some great soups. I've had food in several places and I've had sandwiches just about everywhere. And let me tell you, the only thing that could make this better is cajun turkey. Either way though, you have to try the chicken pot pie, it's just delicious. But perhaps the best thing about Jason's Deli is truly superior customer service, especially at this location where friendly staff always make it an excellent experience. I enjoy myself every time I come and I highly recommend if your in the area you try it.

Went for lunch today. Tori was at register giving suggestions from the menu and was pleasant. Nice to see someone actually making the most of working a customer service job! The sandwich I used to get wasn't on the menu but still available. ThenPapa Joe is t h e best IMO

Great place for quick healthy meals. Decent salads, sanwiches and pasta Alfredo. Mildly busy, lots of parking at this location...

Tori made our day! Great recommendations, a great attitude, and we could tell he enjoyed being there. The food was good all around and the restaurant is clean, with free ice cream to finish the meal!
