Catalyst Church

Catalyst Church is a place where I am able to grow in my faith in Jesus Christ. I enjoy helping to get things done that need to be done on Sunday morning and attending a community group during the week. I also enjoy getting to know the people there. Catalyst Church is a place where I can experience and learn about Jesus in community.
I love the Adopt A Captain Ministry where college students are connected with a local family to experience a home away from home time throughout the school year.
Catalyst Church is a place where I can learn about who God is and His great and wonderful plan for those who would seek Him.

a BEAUTIFUL sanctuary with warm & welcoming people.

This is a very young congregation, probably due to its close proximity to Christoper Newport University, but the older and wiser elders of the church are present and involved! It was a good, simple service where the preaching accurately and clearly conveyed the Gospel.

As a service member, it was difficult for me to find meaningful relationships, especially in a short time. The moment my wife and I walked into Catalyst, it just felt so warm and welcoming. The military and veteran community was quick to reach out to us and help with transitioning to the area, and there were so many welcoming us into their homes that they soon became like family. After that, we knew that Catalyst was where God needed us.

Amazing gospel-centered and welcoming church - I knew it was the right church for me my first Sunday attending :) Lots of opportunities to connect with others outside of a typical Sunday setting including small groups throughout the week and special events ~once a month. Great fit for all ages and walks of life, not to mention the close proximity to CNU because college students are very important to their ministry. Definitely recommend!

I love Catalyst church. The people here are super welcoming and it is located super close to the college. I was a part of their college ministry and it has helped me grow in my faith and make some of my best friends!

After searching for a church for a while we settled down at Catalyst Church. Everyone was authentically welcoming and my kids made themselves right at home. You will be valued here, people are kind and caring and you’re not just another face in the crowd.
