City Center at Oyster Point

It's a cute setup for the holiday. The Christmas tree goes off every 30 minutes. We got to see it 2 times and it was a beautiful walk around the fountain.

Great place to walk and take pictures. It's surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops. Not far from the movie theater either.

Didn't have a lot of time to explore this whole place, but did manage to check out this stunning fountain. I was greatly impressed with it.

Went to Azaro Italian Bistro...a delight! Been here 3 mths...pricey...but delish!must try

This was our first time visiting to see the holidays lights, it will not be the last. Top of every hour, the lights dance! These are just a few pictures. Go see all the bells and whistles for yourselves, it's awesome!!! We've certainly started what will become a holiday tradition 🌲🥰💜🎄🎊💫.

Came here to walk around and enjoy the view. Really nice place to hang out. Lots of shops to explore and different restaurants for everyone. They have live bands sometimes so you are able to relax. Great place to take pictures.

A great spot to hang out, walking around, relax and be social! Lot of activities going on the weekend or holidays. Nice out door water fountain and most of the restaurants around here has high quality of food.

Had lunch there today and both food and service were great! Even left with bread pudding for dessert. The restaurant Sate is a "must" try......you will not be disappointed! NC

This is such a nice area of Newport News! There are so many shops and restaurants and they frequently have free events here! The tree lighting in December is a huge deal and many kids take prom and homecoming photos here at the fountain!

Whether you want a nice family time outdoors, a romantic stroll, or just some "me time", City Center is looking quite magical even before the official winter holiday season. Mask up, space out, and enjoy the beauty of the season...even if it is for a moment.

Always a good time. We got there at happy hour half price drinks yay!! The Boils are amazing. I always get Mr. Boil sauce no heat because I am a wimp but I hear that spicy and fire are good too.

Clean, well manicured and maintained. I was having a rough day and just drove down to watch the ducks and fountains. Sat on a bench and only seen a handful of people walking. Very nice.

Enjoy taking a stroll around the fountain picking up a Dr. Green juice from the Juicing Life Bar. We take time to feed the fish and turtles. Sometimes there are outdoor bands and it adds to the ambiance. Depending on the time of day and what may be going on in the city center determines the crowd.

Every time I go here, I like the place a little more. It is just a nice quiet place to go, especially when they do not have anything going on. When It has special events going on it can be overcrowded, so just be aware of the events scheduled.

It was my 1st time visiting this area, and I love it. It's beautiful and has nice restaurants and a movie theater. Can't wait to visit for the tree lighting.

This is a very trendy and hip but also a relxed and tranquil place to visit in Newport News. The fountains are magnificent, plus as an adorable and useful added bonus, Newport News Parks & Recreation installed a small set of stairs along the wall of the fountain pond so small yellow ducklings (that would otherwise be trapped) can freely come and go.
The restaurants at the City Center are top shelf, as well the shopping. Both exquisite. The Paragon movie theater which, in a cafe' similar setting, offers a nice menu and drink selection and is the only of its kind here. Free concerts over the summer, usually every weekend and some during the week. Great place for events such as weddings, reunions, etc. As I previously mentioned, even though the City Center is located directly in the middle of urban Newport News, there is still plenty of tranquility and relaxation there!! PARKING IN THE PARKING GARAGE IS FREE!!!

Beautiful seyeing around a lake with wonderful restaurants and outdoor music. First Fridays in the summer are awesome.
