Eastham Park

The creation of this place was a fantastic idea. The little park and fields for kids and the trail right along the water. I adore the two fences in areas for dogs. I take my Artemis there all the time and she just loves it. Wish it wouldn't be muddy there, but it's probably from the dogs digging and what not. Just try and keep it seeded as best as one can considering the dogs.

Beautiful, huge dog park! Love this place! Park in the lot on the left at the bottom of the hill, then take a walk along the river a few hundred yards, past the soccer field and playground. You will come first to the small dog park, then a little further is the large dog park. They provide doggy poo bags and receptacles to clean up (please clean up after your dog does his/her business!). We took a frisbee and one of those tennis-ball throwers. The dogs love running the length of the park!

I've been coming here (mainly to skip rocks and swim) since it was just a boat launch and the parking lot was a large overgrown field and they had warning buoys floating in the water warning you to not drink or eat the fish from the AVTEX water (I'm sure some of you remember that). I've always loved it and they've actually done a great job with the trail that they've got there. It is a very pleasant place to go for a walk and occasionally you get a train that goes by for an added plus.

If you have a dog you gotta visit this park. Beautiful dog walk along the river. Two giant fenced dog park areas (one for little pups, one for big dogs). A+++

Beautiful park in town along the river. Dog parks are large and surrounded by trees for the pups, the boat launch and pickup were easy to find, with a really nice area to picnic.

Came out here on a chance visit that was so surprised to find the walking trail and scenic river view

This place is beautiful and relaxing, even when it's raining. It's lovely being able to walk along the riverside and enjoy nature. The path is well maintained and there is 2 huge fenced areas for pups to play!

Such a cool trail! A large dog park and the view is lovely. It's a simple walk as well. Lots of parking spaces.

The dog park is huge! Came here with my GSD who passed God rest his spirit and now I bring my best friend Bear, to this park. None better in Virginia.!

Very nice dog park on the Shenandoah River. A little bit of a hike from the parking lot... a nice paved trail with benches leading to a football field sized park for the big dogs and about half a football field for the little dogs. Water fountain outside the parks for people and dogs. Love it!!

Great park to bring the family and dogs. They have a restroom and charcoal grills, and dog park. Fishing was good.

We love walking here. It always a nice trail. We see a lot of regulars walking here as well.

Great paved trail with dog park, playground and small soccer field included. Bring the kids, the parents or the pets to enjoy the mostly shaded trail as squirrels triapse the grounds lining for a nutty treat or two. Stop to rest and enjoy the view along the river on any one of the several riverside benches or dip your toes in at the boat launch.

Beware visitors: there have been some recent auto break Ins and theft of purses. Unfortunately, there are no cameras set up, but if you have any personal belongings that you need to keep out of sight, you're better off doing that before getting to the park, just in case.

Quiet today raining. Always enjoy the river and great dog walking park.

One of the best kept secrets in Warren county. Great walking path. Kid friendly. And tell dog areas. Big dogs and little dog. Visit!

Nice walking path alongside the river .

We were visiting relatives in Front Royal and needed a nice place to take some family photos.

We've come to the park before and enjoyed their trails and sitting by the Shenandoah so we thought this would be a perfect place.

It really is because not only doesn't have benches along the water to watch the river with kayakers it also has enclosed dog park places.

We were able to take some nice family photos and noticed that we weren't the only ones. Must have been homecoming nearby because a lot of homecoming pictures being taken as well.

The park offers the ability to enjoy walks along the river and a lot of room to spread out and take in the area.

Nice area for a walk along the river, and nice enclosed dog parks to allow your dogs to run.
