Very comfortable and relaxing get away....I hear there is new management!! On behalf of the city we appreciate the turn around... along with the politeness, respectfulness and the well clean kept grounded of the hotel.... it's the first hotel I've been to were I actually relaxed and felt safe doing so....management just doesn't want your money.... they are more interested in making sure everyone has an amazing experience... again thank you... Whenever time comes for relaxation you will always get my business....

Booked this place in a panic after we found less than ideal conditions at the 1st place we booked. Staff was amazingly accommodating and friendly when we showed up right after midnight to check in. Place is clean and relatively updated. We liked the laminate flooring over other places with carpet. Good water pressure for the shower and hot water lasted a good long while. Reasonable and competitive rates compared to similar motel/hotels in the area. Central to major shopping center and restaurants.

I was pretty hesitant about this place because there are a couple of bad reviews and it being one of the cheapest if not the cheapest hotels in Newport News I figured it was going to be a little bit dirty and a little bit old. I'm super picky and will most definitely have request a new room if I find the room hasn't properly been clean so I figured it was worth the risk. We were very surprised to find that our room was cannot only newly renovated but very clean. Of course it's nothing fancy but it was much nicer than we expected. Even the Wi-Fi signal was decent. The bed was nice and soft to although you might want to bring some spare pillows because while there is are okay they're not the best. The front desk staff was very friendly as well.

Thank God this place was open!!!! EVERYTHING EVERYTHING was sold out and the room we booked had dog hair everywhere and we checked out. We came across this place and it was AMAZING. The rooms are very clean and the environment was quiet. I slept like an angel, and I spent hundreds less than my husband did for the doggy room.

this place has definitely improved since new owners .has a bad name from previous years but you cant beat the price for the quality of the room( which is way better than i expected) room service was impeccable there was an incident involving intoxication and noise complaints from the room next to mine. management handled the situation best of thier abilities im sorry to say police were involved but since guest was removed place was so much more delightful. management is awesome and very respectable HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The hotel was very neat, clean and family friendly. Surveillance made me feel very secure. Front desk was prepared for my arrival.

Clean rooms friendly staff quiet area good price. This is my go to spot when i need a nice get away. I definitely recommend the Express Inn Motel 🤗

The man at the front desk was very nice when speaking. All and all good place and reasonable rates!
