Best Western Plus Newport News Inn & Suites

Hot breakfast! And a specialty coffee machine. The room was clean and neat. The hotel is just off of a main thoroughfare but is really peaceful and quiet. The window in my room opened. Which is very nice. I prefer to sleep with fresh air. Never once did I hear a disturbing sound the whole night through.

We arrived 2 nights ago, after moving from Hawaii to the Newport News area. My husband suggested we stay in this area due to all of the restaurants and shopping nearby. We have stayed at a lot of hotels and travel often and we are really impressed by what you get here for the price. We have experienced none of the issues mentioned by others re:bugs or maintenance problems. I have a service dog and I have had other hotels, including Hiltons and more upscale properties, give me attitude on check in. Not here --- the staff is all very friendly and they welcomed us and our dog and even put me in a room close to the front of the hotel on the ground floor without us even asking. The fridge is a nice size for a hotel fridge and the area is pretty quiet, but there is still some grassy areas around to walk our dog and it is easy to walk or drive to different stores and only 20 mins from my work. For under $100 a night we are very happy to have found this hotel. Other guests seem to mostly be work crews here on business and everybody seems friendly. In terms of the smell of marijuana, it is legal in Virginia and I can't say that I have smelled it here any more often than I would simply walking around anywhere I have been in the state. They have a nice business center area, an area to purchase snacks, the hotel is very clean in all the parts I have seen, included breakfast as well. It is also pet friendly too. I would definitely recommend to other military families needing somewhere to stay for a PCS.

I recently stayed here while on a business trip. I thought the bed was especially comfortable compared to other hotels I've stayed at. They served breakfast which was pretty good. The pancakes and a latte machine were a nice touch.

My family and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Newport News, Virginia, during a challenging time for my family—attending my mother-in-law's funeral. Despite the somber circumstances, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional service we received.

This hotel is AWESOME, the rooms are clean, hot breakfast, and the staff was great, very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The older lady(don't remember her name) at the front desk was a delight.She was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean and they serve breakfast.

The shower rod needs a little work. The toilet needs to be seated better on the floor. Makes noise each time it was sat on. Otherwise, clean and friendly staff

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a Best Western hotel. The person working in the front desk actually greeted me as an elite member which I really appreciated. The rooms were very clean although my room had an odd smell to it. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Breakfast wasn't so good but it is what it is.

Our 4 night stay recently was very pleasant. Staff very polite and friendly.
Our room was spotless. The king sized bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The towels smelled so fresh and felt very soft.

We will definitely stay here again at Best Western Newport News VA.

Extremely friendly agent who is hard working and accommodating. She had to come in from power blowing the parking lot to check me in early. She was smiling and engaging in conversation. Didn’t seem phased by the ridiculous range of duties she was having to perform. Literally smiling and welcoming the whole time. I just need a room for the day and she checked me I early at 10am which I so appreciated. Gave the place 5 stars for her service and hospitality Alone

We had come to town because my son was graduating high school and we chose this hotel because the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area in light of the festivities that were happening in Hampton Roads.
When we first arrived we were very pleased with our room but when we had come back from dinner there was a slight issue that we hadn't noticed when we first checked in when I notified the front desk attendant Zorica she was very apologetic and very nice about the entire situation changed our room very promptly I made sure that we were very happy with our accommodations. The breakfast was good and more than what most hotels are serving nowadays the room service was very nice housekeeping kept our room clean and made sure that we had fresh Linens and towels every day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to town and I was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service we received.

We had two mini suites for several nights and were beyond pleased. Staff (Joe) was helpful and very pleasant at check-in. Answered questions and assisted as needed. The other lady who worked the desk in the mornings was great too - kept breakfast items out and went beyond the call for guests. The rooms were huge and clean. High ceilings. Housekeeping staff did good work. Showers were hot, ac was cold. Beds were so comfy. I slept on the sofa bed - it was the best sleep I got our whole trip. Their coffee machine was soooo good! Great coffee whenever you want it. Always fresh! Parking was well lit and most areas were on camera surveillance. Couldn’t ask for a better stay; due to this, we will definitely seek out Best Western Plus in the future.

Good location near restaurants and attractions. Room had everything except a hair dryer (which I didn't need so didn't ask about). A/C was controllable, big plus. Friendly staff, clean room.

Can’t rave enough about this place. Came in late and Chuck just automatically made sure we had a late check to get some sleep. Amazing customer service everyone is so friendly and kind, rooms were super clean and spacious for the price! Pool was clean and a nice temperature. After a long drive of rough hotels this place was such a breath of fresh air. Definitely a hidden gem here. 💕

My room was very clean. Hotel staff was amazing. Breakfast was so good!!! Three only thing was my husband was not able to eat the eggs due to onions in it but I ate them and yummy. I still definitely be staying here again. I hope all of these hotels are like this we're will be staying more with Best western plus from now on

This Best Western Plus was a beautiful and clean facility. The common areas were spacious, filled with plenty of seating, and provided different areas for a moderately private relaxing experience.
Our first room had an issue with the AC, so we were immediately moved to another room without any issues. The second room was the same style that we had order and had no issues.
Every staff member I encountered was extremely welcoming and polite. They addressed every concern I had and were knowledgeable of the local area.
The breakfast was delicious and I was very impressed with the options (both hot & cold choices). I was also impressed that the hot options changed from day to day. Hot chocolate, coffee, and fruit infused water were always available throughout the day!
Parking and wireless internet were included. The overall price was very economical. The pool was nice and warm. The hot tub was always running. Plus the hotel never seemed to be overly packed (Sunday – Tuesday), so we were able to enjoy plenty of quiet, private time during our stay.

I have stayed here like 4 years ago with a group of friends we got the double bed etc and the stay was nice. It accommodated us in every way ! I came back with my gf and it was a last min baecation … i booked the room on Priceline it was like $96 (sat-sun)…when i walked in it smelled really good/clean …I personally inspect everywhere i stay and the room / bathroom was very clean.. we loved that check in was at 2p check out is at 11a but we ask the front desk lady can we extend to 12 and it wasn’t no problem !! And its quiet and no smoking inside at all !!

We really enjoyed our stay. When we visit our daughter and husband, we are staying here! Super nice employees!!! Very comfortable!!!

I stayed the weekend of March 1st and I was very pleased! The breakfast was so wonderful and the staff was very helpful including friendly. The room was in top shape and was very comfortable. I would certainly be happy to return when I'm in the Newport News area for another stay compared to any other surrounding hotels, plus the rate is very unbeatable! Thank you! :)
