Courtyard by Marriott Newport News Airport

Stayed over a week here, as we were visiting family and having our Christmas vacation. Staff very helpful and friendly. They were always eager to help, they got more bedding for us right away. Our stay was quiet, beds were comfortable, and rooms spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

This is my go to place. I always receive great service. The rooms are clean as well as the rest of the facility's common areas. The parking lots and grounds are well maintained and sufficiently lit at night. The front desk staff are always welcoming with smiles and kindness. I have no complaints.

It's always a pleasure to stay here. This hotel has the nicest staff I've ever had. The lovely ladies here are very sweet. The rooms look very nice, like Courtyards usually do.

My stay, although brief was relaxing and suitable for the occasion. I will surely return. I had the pleasure of speaking with Stephanie, the general manager and she was kind, accommodating and pleasant. I appreciated her professionalism and genuine concern for my family’s stay, Also, the hotel looks phenomenal after the remodel. This will surely be where I stay the next time I visit Newport News.

Wow! So full disclosure, I'm super picky & from a big city. Been staying in hotels in the area while helping my dad, and feel like I finally I've found my home base. The staff is just out of this world! Toni the bartender, Tami the front desk just amazing!! Always taking care of myself & other guests just like family!
Wow! Friendly, patient, accommodating, knowledgable staff... the main reason I stay longer & it really feels like friends greeting you each time you enter/exit. Ive Seen many smiles & a few hugs exchanged between staff & guests sharing gratitude & travel experiences. Great fancy clean rooms no issues just perfection!! Fluffy pillows, clean soft bedding, wifi, courtyard pool, gym, bar, bistro, relaxed vibe & amazing staff... did I mention that?? Lol I was going to check but decided I'm staying out for my trip & look forward for once to come back to my room & relax! Has an office center, printers, pool, gym & plenty of safe parking. Yay!

We really enjoyed this hotel! The staff were nice and welcoming. The room was clean and nicely kept. My one complaint, which I forgot to tell the staff, was that the shower (room 326) seal at the bottom was not sealed completely, even when I made sure the shower door was completely closed. Water got all over the bathroom floor which I had moped up with a towel. Other than this issue, I thoroughly enjoyed this stay.

I can’t say enough about the quality of customer service at this location. My husband and I were traveling with our baby this week and the entire front desk and grounds staff were so warm, helpful, welcoming, and just delightful people. Kharlief and Tammy went out of our way to help us at every turn, as did many others whose names I didn’t catch. We enjoyed our stay so much, and will miss seeing everyone! Thanks so much for making our stay so wonderful!

What you would expect at a Courtyard. Customer service was fantastic. However, know that at this location there is no lounge for Platinum Elite members. Also, as in all Courtyards, no complimentary coffee in the check in area. There is a bar selling coffee drinks, but it will cost a bit. Plain toasted bagel 8 dollars.
Room was very clean. Internet was fine. TV had apps like YouTube, so didn't have to watch brainwashing programing, but instead could select the shows I find on YouTube. HVAC really did work, and was quiet enough. Only wish that the bar had a greater food selection. Really didn't want to go out, and would've ate at the bar if they had more to offer.

Very friendly staff, great service. Nice and clean rooms!

Every single employee I have encountered has greeted me with a smile and a hello.
I stay often and will continue coming back every chance I get.

The cleaning staff here is so kind and excellent at their jobs. The front desk staff is amazing as well. Any negative review on here is not truthful because I stay here frequently and it is always impeccably clean. The outdoor fire pits are wonderful and there is plenty of room to relax in the lobby whether you are getting a drink in the bar or if you are trying to work and/or need a casual place to meet for business in a public area. Plenty of receptacles to plug into and also they have several TV monitors to utilize to hook up and present your PC screen.

I think most people (especially the complainers) need to get a grip; if something is wrong in a room at any hotel, you should probably live in reality…literally 1000s of folks stay in hotels weekly…things can happen - relax and politely ask for help. If it’s not the place for you, take yourself somewhere else. I travel to 20-30 hotels a year all over the US, I know quality hotels! This is a wonderful location and you’re lucky to have a room here. Great for families, business, pleasure, etc.

We just recently stayed at Courtyard Marriott Newport News due to the passing of my Grandmother. Let me tell you this hotel went above and beyond to accommodate all our guests since the majority of us live out of state. I can't say enough about how wonderful the Staff is at this hotel. I want to send a special thank you to Mrs. Zoe, Mr . Allen, and the day and night receptionists (sorry I don't recall their names). They all went above and beyond from our pre-visits to choose a venue, to arranging the room blocks, to reserving the Meeting Room for the Repast Meal and allowing overflow guests to sit in the Bistro Seating area. Everyone who we encountered kept a stellar attitude. Thank you again for all you assistance during this time of grief.

The hotel is clean, the fitness center is adequate, the pool a good temp. The fire pit is almost ALWAYS burning when I got “home” from work. I want to mention 2 staff members who MADE my hotel visit feel like HOME - Zoe at the front desk! ALWAYS a warm hello, ALWAYS offered assistance, ALWAYS asked a follow up question to ensure I was taken care of and understood! She’s AWESOME and a wonderful Host and brand ambassador! The other staff member, I never got his name and should have, an older gentleman, maintenance most evenings - ALWAYS takes a moment to offer the little things (presses elevator button, offers to hold a door). Also a wonderful host and a man who understands hospitality and taking care of guests. These 2 employees made my visit so much more comfortable; THANK YOU!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful. Our bed was comfortable and the room....well let me tell you.....fabulous!!!! Spacious and clean. The bathroom was fantastic! It was updated and with plenty of space to move around. The huge shower was nice with plenty of water pressure. We stayed in the king sized room that had a pull out sofa (Our son said it was comfortable -which is amazing because at 6'2" tall, that says a lot!!) We visited the hotel lobby and played games in the 'library.'
The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. I plan on staying there again when we go to my son's graduation fro Fort Eustis.

Really quiet... Very clean... The shower was amazing! Star on the Bistro was great!!! Her customer service is outstanding! She was quick with getting my dinner as well as my coffee. My check in process was very fast and easy. The young man was very polite. Over all excellent service!!! My only negative was my salad at dinner was old. I picked it apart and moved on. Great job... I will be back!

I was there one night as part of a shipyard hiring event. Room was clean, had a good bed, and was a good size. I appreciated the wardrobe in the room. Nice, modern aesthetic. Only drawback was the furniture layout, with the TV not being in front of the bed, though this was very minor as the couch in the room was comfortable. Additionally, the staff was very accommodating: while the breakfast was not free it started earlier than most other hotels (at 6 a.m.) and they were more than helpful checking in and holding my bags.

Marriotts have a very good reputation, this particular site has a Bistro in the lobby that makes specialty breakfasts & they serve at happy hour during the week. It did not come with a complimentary breakfast, but the staff is very nice & helpful.

I spent the night here and conducted a meeting recently. The property was very easy to find, very well-maintained, this is a different courtyard than most. They had more of an modern feel then other courtyard. My overnight room was beyond expectations very clean and organized. Had plenty of towels. The meeting room setting a process was extremely easy and the room is set up exactly to my expectations thanks to Cheryl. She is the local contact. The food was great and they waited on me and my students hand and foot. This is a great Courtyard. I will be using this property again

professional the hotel was clean. I have been in a lot of hotel but nothings
