Seton Home Study School

One of my favorite things about SHSS is that it is very Christ-centered. The school places so much focus on Catholicism more than anything else. Catholicism is incorporated into almost every subject - the only one I can think of that It is not incorporated into is the highschool math. The curriculum is very rigorous but the whole design allows a lot of independence for the student. I have been with Seton since grade 3 and have never had a desire for a different curriculum. Seton prepares the student to enter the real world after graduation. It has really helped me grow in my Faith. The religion courses are top-notch -- EXCELLENT!! I would have no hesitation in recommending Seton to others!

I started with Seton 14 years ago with my first child. I did so much research on homeschooling and looked through programs from the west coast to the east coast. I landed on the Seton curriculum and really liked what I saw. I called them and spoke to a counselor and asked many questions. I have enjoyed using this curriculum ever since. My 2nd child is now in 8th grade and I still enjoy teaching with this curriculum. The school will promptly answer any and all questions you may have and help you find solutions if you run into problems. I have had people ask about my children's educational program and ended up becoming Seton homeschoolers too. I highly recommend this home study program. There are always additional subject enhancers that can be implemented into your child's curriculum if you desire.

I love the Seton Curriculum. I am what is known as a cradle Catholic that went to Catholic school. I wanted to give my children the closeness to Christ that a Catholic school use to be more centered on. I find Seton has brought that availability to our family coupled with bringing them up in a loving parish and a homeschool social group…I now recommend Catholic home school over brick and mortar. We still maintain a schedule and the content of Seton curriculum is an academically strong Christ centered curriculum.

We have used Seton for almost three years now. Pre-K through 1st grade so far. Every time I have had a question they were very helpful. The books and supplies come right to the house when on the schedule I ask for and are wonderful. They kids love the great pictures and I love how they incorporate the Catholic faith into everything. My husband is a public school principal and has been very impressed with our children's progress in math and reading. Also, Seton provides teacher's plans for each grade which significantly cut down planning time. You decide when you want to do everything but it also shows you a day by day plan if you want to use it that way as well. It makes it a lot easier to have the books and plans ready to go. You also get to choose between Saxon math and Seton math programs.

We just started with Seton Home Study School. I am thrilled with the curriculum and the straightforward lesson plans. The teacher's record book is perfect! It allows me to easily record attendance, grades, etc. Everything I need to do school district reporting is right there! My oldest was floundering academically in cyberschool. Now she loves doing her work and is excited about college prospects. The program is designed with the fact that some of us have multiple children to teach in mind. We have never had school days go so smoothly!

We are in our 4th year of homeschooling with Seton products, and they are wonderful! As a Certified Instructional Designer with a Masters of Education degree, I could design our homeschool program. However, this program is so strong and well-designed that there is no need!

Every year, Seton has a top quality, tough curriculum loaded with Catholic stories and lessons. They also have a very accessible support system, including a friendly, knowledgeable and faith-filled staff. Through Seton, I have access to order yearly achievement tests and scoring, and incredible supplemental educational materials. All of this plus they keep records and offer graduation services!

Rigorous but lovely Catholic curriculum. I can only say good things about Seton.

This program is amazing. Detailed Lesson plans, Testing is easy and accessible, and the academics is thorough and challenging. Seton staff are always professional and Helpful. I also love their monthly magazine!

My 3 kids used this curriculum and it is also beneficial to me as a Mother to learn my faith as well!

My parents used this company for my first year of homeschooling and continued using many of their resources for many years. Fine textbooks from a Catholic perspective. (Better than anything currently being used by the public schools.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only thing I regret about Seton is that we didn't do it sooner. Great curriculum, great people, great homeschool!

I love this Program, the curriculum is well rounded, the staff is very helpful. My daughter has learned so much. She likes the School too. Best decision...

I went to Seton growing up and remember it being very difficult as a student to find support from the teachers. I remeber contacting Mr. Gallegher as a child nunerous times about assignments which yielded very little help.

Now as an adult myself i gave Seton another try with my own children, and its still the same way if not worse. The seem more concerned about money than actually helping students out. Very little academic support.

My recommendation to homeschoolers would be to find a co op or a program that offers some form on dialogue with students and teachers.
