Island Prep Preschool

My daughter has been going to Island Prep Preschool since last summer and it has been a great experience. She started in the JPK and will be staying with them for VPK this coming school year. The staff are all very kind and caring. My daughter has learned a lot here and is always excited to share what she did with us when we pick her up. Highly recommend!

My three year old son attends preschool a few days a week at Island Prep and he loves it! Not only is it the cleanest facility, but the staff and teachers are excellent at what they do, loving and patient. It truly feels like a family. I love that Island Prep offers yoga, spanish and sign language, too. We couldn't be happier and feel more secure knowing he is flourishing and learning in such a great school!

Island Prep is a wonderful educational facility that not only focuses on being an eco friendly school but also an education based curriculum. I feel that both of my children are better equipped to go on to kindergarten after being educated at this fine school. The facility is clean, well maintained and safe. The staff members are teachers who are dedicated and friendly and truly love and care for the children. I cannot rave enough about my wonderful experience at Island Prep.

I couldn't be happier with Island Prep. Finding the "perfect" daycare was a top priority for my husband and I. My husband and I visited the facility after being extremely impressed with their website. We immediately knew this was the place for us. Island Prep is clean, green, friendly, and filled with a knowledgeable staff. This is not your average daycare. As an educator, I feel that this school prepares children academically while nurturing creativity and socialization. My daughter's 2 year old class operates on a schedule similar to many elementary school settings. She has circle time that incorporates songs, writing, letter naming, phonemic awareness, and reading. The facility incorporates technology such as I pads and has a very hands-on approach to learning. I was really impressed with the style of learning in which choice is an option for center activities. In addition to the academic curriculum, our daughter participates in yoga, zumba, and Spanish lessons on a weekly basis. Mrs. Parrish basically potty trained our daughter with her "potty train." I was shocked when she came home one day asking to use the potty! Dani, the director, is knowledgeable and runs a fantastic facility. She is easy to talk to and involved first hand with all classrooms. I can't imagine sending my child anywhere else. We are so happy to have the Island Prep family as a part of ours.

Island Prep is an amazing school! As an Occupational Therapist intern, I have been in many different pediatric facilities, developmental centers, and pre-schools. Island Prep is by far the BEST school I have seen. The staff and owners take pride in making sure that the children are their first priority. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone!

My daughter has been going to Island Prep since the day the school opened. She has learned so much, made amazing friends, and the staff have become like family to us. Everyone at the school goes above and beyond to make learning fun at Island Prep. My daughter loves all of the special events they host like the annual Halloween Party, Christmas Bizarre, and monthly pajama party. She's starting VPK at Island Prep in a week and I'm so excited to see what she'll learn next. When I picked my daughter up from school today, she told her teacher she loved her before leaving. It's that kind of school -- everyone literally becomes like family to each other. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Island Prep. We love love love this school!

My husband and I are absolutely beyond thrilled with Island Prep! Our daughter LOVES it too! It is an amazing environment for learning and growing, perfect balance of structure, social/play, and exploration/learning. Our oldest daughter has attended this preschool since she was one years old and our baby girl will go there when she is one too! The teachers and all of the staff is so friendly and personable, always greeting you with a smile - it's evident that they truly love their school too! Our daughter surprises us everyday with her learning and skills, sign language and spoken words and manners! We feel so lucky to be a part of this family! The Duggans

I enrolled my child at the age of ten months! I immediately fell in love with all the teachers and the director. My child flourished at Island Prep - he learned sign language and became an EXCELLENT nap taker! I took him out for the summer so we could take vacations etc. but I do intend to enroll him again once the summer is over. I would never even consider another place to send my child. Island Prep is a family and they welcome all children AND parents with open arms. The teachers there are phenomenal ladies and educators!!

I looked at all day cares in St Augustine and didn't feel comfortable placing my daughter in any of them. luckily Island prep opened and it was a perfect match for us. I highly recommend Island prep to anyone who is looking for a clean and safe environment for their children. The staff is friendly and the education they provided, gave my daughter a head start when going into kindergarten.
