Unit 5 was where we stayed. Wonderful beach views, close to the public access, although the property also has a private access. Nice, large balcony so we could all enjoy the views.

My wife and I rented a condo facing the beach. Condo was very nice and well kept. Only issue was one of the sliding glass doors wouldn't open but the other did. Nice beach and location. We walked to restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Just something about St. Augustine beaches. We will be back.

I have rented various condos at Island South. Some are nice and some are so-so. You can rent from Coastal Realty, Sunshine Realty, VRBO or owner.
This review is based on Unit 33. It’s a third floor unit. There are no elevators here. View of pool and ocean is nice. Location is nice and you can walk to pier in less than a mile. Walk tobeach in 5 minutes. Some units here need updating. This particular one needs new furniture. The pictures posted on Coastal Realty website are deceiving because it looks like a newer sofa and loveseat. This is not the case. The furniture is worn out and I can feel the springs in the sofa. My legs and butt are hurting after a week in this unit. Neighbors have told me that previous renters always complain about the furniture and how it hurts to sit.
I would not stay here again unless the owner got new furniture and I believe the realtor Coastal Property should have been forthcoming with the information about the lack of comfortable furniture.
The bathrooms could also use some updating but the furniture is the real problem. It looks like it came from a yard sale.
RENTER BEWARE.
