We had family members here for the holidays & all ordered different dinner choices. All were so delicious! I got the Sesame Ginger tofu -was delicious! I ate everything on my plate as did everyone!! lol You can choose a dinner portion or a smaller plate size too which was perfect! Our Waitress Dana was great. Very nice, attentive and professional. We can’t wait to return! Thx again for a great meal!

My wife and I had been meaning to try this restaurant for years because we’d heard good things about it, and we finally did tonight. It surpassed all our expectations. We arrived at around 7 pm, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded and was calm and quiet, very good for conversation. The wait staff attended us well and made helpful wine and menu selections. I had a great glass of wine, and my wife had a sangria (they don’t offer mixed drinks). We ordered two appetizers and split a main dish. All were superb! The prices were on the high side, but more than worth it for the taste and the nice atmosphere, and the great wait staff. Nice artwork on the walls , too. We will be back and have already recommended it to friends.

First time here and loved the food. Service somewhat slow, but very helpful. This is a great place if you like small plate dinners. So many interesting choices. They also had a couple large dinners available. We split Crab n Red Pepper soup, Stuffed Chicken, and Shrimp n Sausage dishes. All very good.
Recommend if not big eaters and love flavorful food.

The items I tried - The Tuscan lentil soup, beet salad, sesame-crusted tofu and the decadent chocolate bomb were undeniable highlights, each dish a symphony of flavors and textures. My favorite was the Sesame Crusted Tofu with Jasmine Rice & Wok Seared Vegetables!
The Macadamia crusted halibut was also outstanding.

Bomb. Chocolate Bomb- Molded Vegan Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Seasonal Fruit. Cream brulee made my taste buds thank again and again.

We searched everywhere for a place to accommodate our large party. While most places turned us down the owner welcomed us with open arms. We had a great dining experience here. The food was great. The service was excellent. They were very accommodating.

The food here is amazing...every single dish that we have eaten the 5 times we have been here is top notch! Great wait staff, and the acoustics are good that you can actually hear each other's conversation. There is not a negative thing to say about Purple Olive!

Excellent ambience, Cozy and service. All of the options were espectacular, the spinach brie salad, the olives, Macadamia Mahi, Lamb, the dessert . We are happy we chose this restaurant to eat today.

These guys know how to do gluten-free. Lots of gluten-free marked on the menu. The food is all very tasty and the service was great.

We were looking for a gluten-free restaurant. The chef is amazing. There are many gluten-free sauces. I would highly recommend this place. Shout out to Andrew our waiter. Delicious delicious delicious

This was our first time to the Purple Olive and already I am looking forward to going back. We visit St. Augustine a few times a year and have yet to find a 'favorite' restaurant. The Purple Olive hit all of our criteria. It is family owned, intimate and we found they excelled at the quality and taste of the food as well as service. Our server, Jill was friendly and went the extra mile to help us decide on our entrees. There are SO MANY great things on the menu that I would never cook at home. My husband had the artichoke pasta dish with shrimp and I had the chef's special halibut. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Such a delight to find this restaurant. It is less than 10 miles from down town and an easy drive. I am 100% sure you will be glad you gave it a try.

Our experience having a family event catered at Purple Olive was nothing short of stellar. Greeted at the door with friendly hosts and promptly seated. Water was brought promptly with bread and spices to follow (olive oil on the table). Plenty of good selections from the menu or tempting specials to choose from to appease most palates. Some menu items seem a bit pricey but in line with the area and economic cycle. But plenty of choices from a variety of price ranges.

I had the macadamia encrusted salmon which was most excellent (recommended). We had the coconut key lime cake for dessert which was also very good (enough to split for two).

Service was attentive and friendly. Overall a good meal and a good value for the price.

Purple Olive catered our wedding and WOW. They were so accommodating to our requests and the food was absolutely delicious. The owner even helped me set up the menu and portion sizes while he was on vacation with his family. Talk about about above and beyond! They care SO much about the quality of their food and serve it at an affordable price, I can not recommend them enough!

My husband and I are in town celebrating our anniversary. We just ate at this amazing restaurant tonight! I have to be gluten free and the options here are out if this world awesome! Staff was super sweet and attentive, food was seriously 2 of the best meals we have ever had! We recommend this place to anyone! But gluten free foodies...it is a treasure for sure! Super charming decor as well. It will be a destination stop for us every time we are in this area from here on out!
