Romano's Restaurant & Pizzeria

Great place! The pizza is delicious. We moved from NJ three years ago. It was very difficult to find a really good pizza, until we came to this place Romanos Restaurant & Pizzeria. I feel like a piece of NJ came to Florida.

We had dinner at Romano’s Pizzeria and Restaurant this evening. I have always liked this restaurant but haven't been there in at least seven years...I'm definitely glad we stopped in.

We ordered the Sausage with Broccoli Rabe as well as Spaghetti and Meatballs. The dinners come with a choice of soup or salad and freshly baked rolls, (we both chose salads).

Shortly after placing our order the server advised me that they were out of Broccoli Rabe and suggested options of vegetables that I could substitute. I realized they make a Fra Diavolo sauce here and asked if I could hold off on the vegetable and substitute that in place of the garlic and olive sauce that normally comes with this dish. The server, (who was awesome), said it wouldn't be a problem at all.

The rolls came out first and were served with a balsamic and olive oil mixture. The rolls were warm and soft with a nice flaky exterior. The salads came out next and were nothing special, (lettuce, onion and tomatoe),but the homemade blue cheese dressing was tangy and delicious.

When our main courses arrived I was blown away by the Sausage with Fra Diavolo Sauce. I love spicy food and this sauce is normally somewhat bland at a lot of restaurants, (even though it's supposed to be spicy), but that isn't the case here. This sauce was actually spicy and was perfect with the sausage and pasta. I tried a bite of the meatball and spaghetti and it was delicious as well. I love a red sauce made with fennel and could taste it in this dish. The sauce also had a slight sweetness without going overboard. The meatballs were perfectly tender and plentiful.

I am always looking for new restaurants and often forget about some of the older and well established places. I need to stop doing that and visit again...that Fra Diavolo is addicting!

Outstanding food and had all 15 of my pizzas ready for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday surprise party on schedule. Great price and great service. Lady at the cash register to the guy that helped me load up.
Grandma's pizza was the favorite. It went quick.

The best place to eat pizza in town. Their dinners are all great. The atmosphere is also great. Try it you wont regret it.

The best Buffalo style pizza I can get in St. Augustine, FL. A little far away from where we live in town but worth the drive. They make the chicken perfect: deep fried and tossed in sauce before baked on the pie...Sooo good :-P

Great pizza!!! It’s always hard to find great pizza in a local area but Romano’s has great pizza. The sausage was fresh and crust perfect. We will be back many times!!!!

Fantastic! Very home-y and cozy. Claire, our waitress was SO NICE and the best! Thank you Claire!! Food was amazing and the drinks were buy one get one free! Like what!?! We would totally come back!!

This place is excellent, staff are great best pizza in Saint Augustine. The owner is very involved and on site I have tried different dishes, all had generous portions and outstanding. I will truly miss this place when we move.

Fantastic Calzone and Pizza! The Cannoli’s are to die for. True, authentic NY style food. And Lori is so sweet and makes you feel so welcomed!

This place is amazing! Excellent service and some of the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten! Highly recommend the Chicken Romano with Broccoli Rabe! Delicious, succulent, and satisfying indeed.

Food never disappoints. Great bread, excellent pizza, fabulous specialty martini's. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice bar separate from the main dining room and the pizza to go section. It's a favorite dining spot for this local.

Made sure to check on us and the atmosphere was very comforting. Rain would've made it awesome. No complaints.

Great casual Italian eatery. I do not eat Italian out too often since I am a bit picky when it comes to food I typically cook. I can honestly say the sauce was delicious on my shrimp parm. Perfect portion of pasta and shrimp. Dinner included a salad which was fresh and crispy. B1G1 drinks also a plus and they have a full service bar. My MIL had the eggplant parm which she could not finish and enjoyed it very much. Our server was a delight and very attentive. Worth the drive from the north end of St.A. Will definitely return soon.

This restaurant is amazing! We were traveling to Orlando for vacation and came across this gem, we have been looking for a great Italian restaurant, too bad we found that restaurant so far from home! The Meatball Garlic Knots are to die for, also great mozzarella and risotto balls, the Lasagna was also delicious, I have been searching for a good homemade lasagna. We are going to swing back by on our way home!
