The Salty Pineapple

We stayed here with our family (15 total) for a weekend. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but close to the beach, restaurants and a trolley to Old St Augustine.
The amenities are well stocked and we spent lots of time out on the patio.
Highly recommend for your family gathering!

We loved the house and patio. We arrived a day after Hurricane Nicole hit St. Augustine. Alex worked very hard to get the patio ready for us to celebrate our son’s wedding. The house was roomy and comfortable, and the patio was beautiful.
Shaiffu and Alex were wonderful hosts, keeping us updated about storm issues.

We stayed as a work retreat for a three day weekend and it was perfect! So many amenities and things to help make the vacation special and carefree. The backyard is a man incredible oasis for everyone to spend time with one another. The house is so cute and decorated so well. It definitely feels like you are on vacation at the beach! The beach is also just a short walk away which was so nice. The host was so very helpful and very quick to reply to all of my questions. I will definitely be staying again!

This is a great place to stay! My group had so much fun at the house and it is easy access to the beach and restaurants. Shaiffu was a great host, providing all the information I could need and was very accommodating. I would love to stay here again

Great place to stay, clean, close to beach and shops. Hot tub was so great especially on some cooler nights. Shaiffu the hostess went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Kids loved the bunk room. Would defrost at again!

The Salty Pineapple was a fantastic surprise!

We were very pleased how quiet it was. My wife and I needed a quick over night get away and this was perfect. We love the coastal decor in the home and how relaxing it was. My wife was able to watch her Netflix shows while I read. The bed was super comfortable and I got great sleep which was needed. This pushed all the buttons we needed to break away and relax from our busy lives. The best part is the place is clean! That is a huge breathe of fresh air! Thank you "The Salty Pineapple" for making our stay the best! We will be back and we may even make this a new tradition.

Fantastic place for a family vacation! We had a great time at the Salty Pineapple! The house had plenty of room and the backyard is spectacular! Location is great, close to many restaurants, the beach and putt putt. We would highly recommend and hope to come back!

Where do I start?! Shaiffu is the most sweetest, kind hearted person!! and to even explain all the accomodations she did for us while we were there I can't! She did so much for us! She answered all our questions and was there for anything we needed! She delt with any issues we had a long our way to the salty pineapple 🍍 (our first time traveling out of state.) She even sent us messages about the weather the night before so we could plan for the next day! The house was so clean and decorated very nice! The beach and restaurants are a short walk. The hot tub was a nice touch to the whole atmosphere. While it was our first time traveling there it won't be our last! I would give her a million stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and highly recommend going to the salty pineapple! Thank you a million Shaiffu! We truly appreciate YOU!

The back yard is everything! We spent all of our time together in the back, eating meals, playing games and enjoying our time together celebrating my parents birthday. Location is close enough to the beach and restaurants and downtown st augustine. Having both sides of the duplex was perfect for our family and the communication with the owners deserves 10 stars! The bunk bed rooms are adorable and loved that they had a cute pack and play, loved the hot tub . Overall our experience was wonderful!

If you are looking for the perfect place to relax in Saint Augustine, FL, look no further than the Salty Pineapple! You are close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Saint Augustine (a short drive away), but in a relaxing environment close to the beach and delicious food! You can rent one side (A or B) or both, depending on the size of your group. The backyard is the perfect oasis for relaxation with the option of using the hot tub. As if the home itself wasn't perfect enough, the hosts (Shaiffu and Alex) are an absolute dream to work with. They are very responsive and provide guests with a plethora of information about the local area for entertainment, activities, and good eats. You do not want to miss out on staying at the Salty Pineapple!

The Salty Pineapple has become our home away from home for the last two summers. We love the owners who are kind and thoughtful. The place was nicely stocked with helpful things from previous guests, and it was cleaned well and had lots of Covid updates for protection. The walk to the beach was easy. The in house washer and dryer were life-saving. We can't say enough good things about this place and the folks who run it!

I completely forgot to leave a review for our stay over the summer! We left a night early because of Hurricane Elsa, and it completely slipped my mind. This was our first time visiting St Augustine, and we loved staying at the Salty Pineapple! Shaiffu is wonderful with friendly and fast communication. The place is very clean and comfortable and a convenient walk to many places. I highly recommend staying here!

Our family has been spending Memorial Day weekend at St. Augustine Beach for 40+ years. We now have adult children and 6 grandkids, all of whom grew up around the ocean, and love the water. We have stayed at numerous facilities over the years, but the grandkids wanted a place where they could all be together and sleep in the same bedroom. The Salty Pineapple was the perfect fit for our extended family of 13 - with room to spare! The back patio is huge and has everything you need to BBQ and relax after diner. The house itself is very comfy, with plenty of room for everyone, and it's just a few minutes' walk from the beach. Lots of other local attractions are also within walking distance. Top that off with an owner like Shaiffu, who goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is an enjoyable and memorable one! It was a wonderful family weekend at the Salty Pineapple!

The house was amazing! We rented both sides and could not have been more pleased! It was extremely clean when we arrived, and had multiple amenities! There were also items such as a pack and play and high chair for those coming with kids, which I think is super gracious! We left some items behind and the owner helped to coordinate getting them shipped back to us! I’d give them 1 stars if i could! 10/10 Would stay again🥰

I brought my children and grandchildren to the Salty Pineapple for a 5 day family reunion. We rented both sides of the duplex. This was a perfect arrangement for families! Shaiffu has truly put her heart into providing a comforting and appealing space for families to enjoy time away. The beach is a straight walk from the home. Restaurants are within walking distance. This home is on AIA and a very short drive from St. Augustine. Our suggestion - park in the public parking garage past the fort. There is plenty of parking there for $15 a day. If you are a senior, buy the annual park pass for $20 at the fort. You can get 3 other guests in for free with your annual pass. Have fun!!! The Salty Pineapple is a beautiful space for your family with a fantastic location!!!

Stayed at the Salty Pineapple for a family trip. Place was great. we were 7 people soo had to rent both sides. beach and restraunts were near the house. Shaiffu and Alex were a great host. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 just spent a week here on “Fall Break”! The host family was extremely accommodating and had excellent communication. This place is close enough to everything you would want. Will definitely consider coming back!!

The Salty Pineapple is a gem of a hideaway located 2+ blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and some of the most amazing sand dunes in all of Florida. Ideal for families with young, active children (rent both sides and you can sleep 19!), each unit is so well designed and beautifully decorated with minimal daily maintenance that even senior citizens feel right at home. You can feel the love Shaiffu and her family share in this house from all the special touches that make a house a home. She has equipped it with enough indoor and outdoor amenities that children will be happy regardless of the weather. From the many children's books and toys to the huge gated backyard deck with fabulous outdoor furniture and a bunk bed room that looks like it's right out of a decorating magazine, children and adults will feel like kids again as they relax in this delightful environment.

My husband and I celebrated my 67th birthday there and had a wonderful relazing time. We found out about the Salty Pineapple when we bid on it at our chuch's silent auction to raise money for our children and youth ministries. Since we are a small community church almost 2 hours drive from St. Augustine, I was curious about the owners. I was not surprised when I learned that they donate any items left behind by their guests to local charities. Needless to say we were overwhelmed by every aspect of our short stay at the Salty Pineapple of St. Ausustine. We give it 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Salty Pineapple. The home was lovely and able to accommodate our large group of family and friends. Shaiffu and Alex were amazing hosts and the only downside, was that we couldn’t stay longer! Can’t wait to come back.

The Salty Pineapple is a cozy and whimsical beach house where they go the extra mile to ensure the guests are welcomed, comfy and well attended to. Just steps away from the beautiful white sandy beach, it was truly a home away from home. Shaiffu and Alex were kind, accomodating and truly dedicated to our comfort.
