We found a super nice walking trail in an unexpected location! The Walk at Sandy Run has many amenities for one to enjoy. Take stroll with your dog, brave the tallest slide or just chill under a shaded pic nic shelter. Check it Out 2021

It's a solid set of walking paths. The first one you encounter, the Chuck Mauk walkway, is a rather short wooden boardwalk over some water and leads to the larger grassy park.
The grassy park is a public standalone expanded green area next to an apartment complex. There are also a couple of park patios with shady overhangs for when you need a break from the sun. These overhangs also have wooden tables, so it's a great place for picnics! I personally enjoyed my tuna sandwich on one of these and had a great time.
You'll notice two yellow slides atop a large grassy hill. There are usually kids sliding down the slides, as this is a family friendly park. And yes, I did slide down the slides(slides are awesome).
The second walkway you'll encounter is the Parker Killian Moore walkway, named after the young man slain during an armed robbery in January of 2018. This walkway features about half a mile of lush greenery over a swampy area, where you can see many different fun animals.
All in all, 10/10, would do again.

Peaceful, family friendly park with a 0.8 mile walking path on an elevated wooden boardwalk through a forrested natural swamp and along a pond full of turtles. A grassy field with nice picnic pavilion and two awesome slides are located in the center of the park and trail. The sprinklers were turned on making them water slides! Our three and five year olds LOVED playing on the slides. Be warned, they are fast when wet. Slow when dry.

nice simple nature walk. what you see in the pictures is about it. However, it's free, easy parking, and simple to acess. I hope they keep adding onto it. Also has a small park. Lots of potential in the future.

Beautiful boardwalk paths through the trees, and easy sidewalk around green space and slides for kids. Dog poop bags provided in several spots but watch for poop all along the trail. There is a covered area with picnic tables, and water fountains for adults, kids, AND dogs. Parking available, right turn only on exiting. Completely stroller or wheelchair friendly.

This is a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Warner Robins. Incredibly well built with serene, peaceful surroundings. This is a great place to walk - with your furbabies or not. This park is not terribly congested (i.e., not a ton of other walkers) so there is plenty of room for everyone! There is a bike path, slides for the littles (and bigs!) as well a nice covered pavilion with picnic tables. There are several memorial plaques on the walking trail which I feel adds a very nice touch. Great location, great trail.

Very nice! Walkway is wide with trees, swamp areas and pond views. Hope visitors encourage others to keep clean. Already several bits of trash over railing.

One of my favorite places to go an evening stroll. They have free parking, and they have turtles, geese, snakes and more. Iv only seen the snake once kind of a rare sighting.

This place was really calm and soothing. The boardwalk gives you a feel of being in rainforest. There was children play area as well.

Such a wonderful addition to our county! The walking bridges are so pretty and shaded. The big open field is nice and it feels like a safe place for a walk alone even. We saw a snapping turtle in the pond area today!

Lovely walk in the woods. Nice benches for those that need them. Great paths for kids on bikes or dog walks. Good community at the slides.

What a beautiful place. Very peaceful. Great place for a picnic with friends and/or family, especially during Covid when outdoors is best. We WILL be going back.

A nice peaceful walk with some scenery off the boardwalk. It's not a huge space but if your dog is old and slow like mine it's perfect.

It is a very tranquil atmosphere. It's a good place to walk or to chill out for a picnic. People need to pick up after their dogs so that the children can enjoy the park.

I need to go back to really explored.
