Kings Landing Park

Great spot for camping with the scouts or other adventure groups. They had team building, ropes courses, fire pits, large fields, covered pavilions, walking trails, facility's for bathrooms and sinks. Sinks. They had a horse ring as well as a big field for camping and stargazing. There was likely much more to see but we were so busy with the scouts. There is a gate to get in and the park rangers were very helpful and brought us firewood and toilet paper.

This park has a lot of attractions and views. There is a swimming pool.open in the summer. The garden maze is pretty fun and has some games to play in the center. There is a hefty for kayaks and a ramp for small boats. Across from the pier there is a neat Viet of what appears to be a power plant. There are also picnic tables and grilling areas. This park is fun.

Great spot right on the Patuxent, plenty of of trails leading you around the park & a few more water spots.

I went kayaking here and it was awesome. It's a large park with plenty of room for everyone there and the water isn't too deep so you can easily enjoy kayaking down the many paths it offers without the thought of drowning.

Awesome place to walk with the family.... decent trails....have a pier to sit or fish off of....maximum 10 people during the pandemic....also a small area to put small boats in the water....kayak, small boats, etc

Hiked the trails, these trails have some beautiful sights. Great photo ops!!

The day was perfect, and the park was absolutely the best place to be for a peaceful Sunday afternoon. Everyone appeared to enjoy the day collecting shells, hiking, and even fishing.

Kings landing is such a fun place with so much to do. I just recently went canoeing there and it was so beautiful ❤❤❤ I love this park!!!!

I had no idea how much there is to do at Kings landing! And with fall foliage the scenery is absolutely beautiful!

Nice clean park. I went to the dock for fishing. The dock is large enough to fit several people on it at once. If you want an ideal spot on the dock, I recommend getting there right when the park opens.

Public pool, fishing pier, good areas to hike with dogs and young kids, with gazebos for taking a break. Some of the old boy scout projects may need some updates

Solid place to fish. If you're going for catfish bring plenty of weights. The current will carry your line into other people's lines.

Beautiful pier and lovely park.

This park was open, but pleasantly not too busy. Perhaps because it's a weekday and I was here early? It was nice to see park employees going about their business. Many parks these days seem to have been abandoned by the staff, which is sad. I had been here hiking on a couple of occasions, but today was the first time that I realized there is a pier here. Several people were at the pier. One small family had a little table, a small grill and chairs set up in the shade. A couple of people were fishing. I noticed that there is a boat launch here that I never knew about as well. The restrooms near the entrance were super clean and I was relieved to find that they are also air conditioned. The trails were nice today, despite the encroaching heat. The majority of the trails that we walked on were in the shade of the forest, though I did see some trails that were out in the sun.

Had a great time on the pier. Lots of catfish and a few shad hanging around. The pier is nice and wide. Plenty of space for about half a dozen anglers to fish without crossing lines and getting in each others way. The park is free to get into and there is plenty of parking.

We visited the park/club house for a wedding reception. It was a really nice facility with a full kitchen. The kitchen was actually impressive. Full size freezers, prep areas, 3 comp sink and plenty of cook top. Nice area out back to take pics. Park dead ends into the river. Enjoyable walking paths and a outside pavilion.
