Chesapeake Beach Cleaners

I added this business to Google to help out their small business (I'm not affiliated nor do I own it).
First 2 experiences were spot on and I trust these people with my families more expensive clothing Their attention to detail is fantastic they noticed a small cuff button was broken, called and asked if I wanted it fixed. I knew it was broken but forgot to tell them, I approved the work and they fixed it.
Great little business, I will be back.

Yes, they are open. Covid hours of operation M-F: 2-5pm, Sat: 12-3, Sun: closed. There is picture as well.

I want to support local small businesses and just moving to the area I thought I would give Chesapeake Beach Cleaners a try. Before I went I called to get a price on a 2 piece suit and a tie to be dry cleaned. I was quoted $14.80 which seemed reasonable. When I dropped off the suit and tie 10 minutes later the price increased to $20.15. The person working the counter could not give me a good reason as to why and said it was her first day and was only filling in for her sister, not her normal job. I went ahead and left it thinking I could take it up with the normal employee when I came to pick it up the following Tuesday. When I went back in on Tuesday at 3:00 I was told my suit and tie was not ready and would not be ready until after 5:00. It would have been nice to know that when I dropped it off, but again not the end of the world and I came back the next day. When I came to pick up the suit the next day, I met who I assume was the regular employee. When I told her about the price difference, she did not seem to care and didn't even bother to offer an apology. On top of that my tie ended up with a imperfection right in the middle of the tie which I unfortunately did not notice until I got home. With the attitude I received at the shop, I chose not to go back and decided I would not use their business again. Like I said, I want to support small business but the small business needs to at least act like they want my business and needs to provide adequate services. Chesapeake Beach Cleaners failed at both.

Dropped off items with a 5 day turn around. Was given the runaround 5 days later with multiple visits that day. I agreed to retrieve my item after hours via a phone call. They never called... don't bother if you expect them to honor time lines.

Do not have tailoring done here!!!!! Ruined several of my jackets, then tried to argue with me that they’d never had problems before.
