Bubba's 33

Came here with my mom for lunch. We both ordered double cheeseburgers, fries and beer. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious 😋 the burger was huge and had fresh ingredients. Very juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy and the beer was nice and cold. Service was great. The manager came out and greeted us and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. I can’t wait to try the pizza 🍕

The service is top notch! At least it was in our experience. Our waitress (I believe her name was Harmony... the receipt had a different name so now I'm second guessing) was very nice and always checking on us without being overbearing. She asked if we had ever been there before and then told us they were known for their big burgers and welcomed any questions. She kept our drinks filled and provided great service from start to finish. The manager even stopped by to give us a card for a free appetizer since she heard it was our first visit. She asked how our service was and we told her how great everything had been, and that our waitress deserves a raise. Truly, good service is hard to find anymore so it means that much more when you come across some and this place seems to value that. Probably why it is so popular and always busy.

We ordered the poblano spinach dip while we looked over the menu. The spinach dip was good and they give you a lot, but it was rather thin and runny. It was also supposed to come with salsa but didn't. Which was fine since we ran out of chips before making it halfway through the dip. Our waitress was nice enough to bring us more, though. Overall, the appetizer was fine but not something I would order again given the other options the menu has to offer.

I ordered the Guacamole Bacon burger and the waitress was not kidding about how large they are! You don't realize just how big it will be until you see it for yourself. I would've been happy with half the size, honestly. I'm not one to usually like big burgers but the menu description of patties made with a blend of bacon and beef caught my eye. I believe these options are made with two patties so I may ask for one on the side next time. I couldn't open my mouth big enough to take a full bite lol. The flavors were delicious and everything seemed to be made fresh in house, which always takes it up a notch. I chose the fire fries for my side and loved how crispy they were. The spicy seasoning they use definitely has a kick but paired with some house-made ranch, it balances perfectly. Unfortunately, I had to box most of them to go since I couldn't even finish my burger.

My husband decided on the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and it was also pretty large. He's usually able to manage a big sandwich but even he had to tap out before it was all said and done. I tried a bite and enjoyed it as well. The pickles seem like they would be out of place when you first read the description but they work so well with the sauce and chicken! The sauce had great flavor and everything seemed fresh. He had the cheese fries that also looked great but I couldn't find room to try them.

All in all, it was a great meal. The place was packed but there seemed to be plenty of staff to manage it. There's a lot of seats and parking but nearly every table and parking space was in use, and there was still a line waiting outside. This was somewhat of an odd hour too so I was surprised but after our meal and service, I can see why everyone chooses to eat here. Also, the prices are pretty reasonable considering the amount of food you get. It's almost cheaper than fast food at this point and much better use of the money, in my opinion.

The only drawback I can really offer is how loud it is. Between the crowds of people and blaring music, this isn't the place to go when you want a quiet dining experience. And it's probably not the place to go if you're looking for something healthy. I'm sure they offer healthier options but let's face it, if you're wanting something like that, you're probably better off choosing a different restaurant. This place is serving up good ol' American gluttony on plates so it's definitely not somewhere to go regularly. Unless you're planning to make good choices, split plates, or take most of it home for another day. But if you're looking at these pictures and reviews, you probably already know what to expect so have at it, my friend! And ask for Harmony's section when you get there!

Food - we all had burgers. All very good. I sub fries for salad and the side salad - I highly recommend! It was delicious!

Joe was our server last weekend and he did not disappoint! The food was delicious, loved the fun atmosphere and the drinks were stupendous. Highly recommend!

When bubbas first opened my family and I visited 3 to 4 times a week. Well, tonight was our first time in about 6 months or longer due to work and school preventing us from visiting as often as we like. Tonight, we took the drive from Charlotte to gastiona in the 5 o'clock traffic to get our Bubba's fix. As always, the food , appetizers, and drinks were amazing. The only complaint I had was that our server wasn't as attentive as I felt she should have been. She took our order apps and came to no server, just the food runner. The bar dinks that were ordered she brought to the table and kept going food came out few minutes later our server showed to ask was everything right after that didn't see her again until it was time to pay and ask for boxes.
Other than that, everything was what a bubba's experience always is.

Restaurant with a bar area, kind of a sports bar and restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Our waitress was awesome! We waited just a short time for a table, but it was worth it.

I am a regular at the Bubbas in Gastonia, NC. I love their food, but I do have a complaint. When I order nachos minus sour cream, add guacamole (charge for guacamole) they add A VERY tiny amount of guacamole- maybe a teaspoon. For $1. Every now and then get lucky and get enough for nachos. The tiny amount otherwise is not nearly enough and shameful since charging. Personally would rather get enough for the nachos even if have to charge a bit more - the amount added is laughable. Otherwise no complaints, love going there!

We came in on a Sunday for lunch and was seated right away. Service was excellent. The price for what you got was reasonable. The hamburger was good and the French fries were hot and yummy. They have some really good cold draft beer on tap. I would recommend giving them a try.

I had their burger with the jalapeño cream cheese sauce and it was good. It was served with fresh steak fries and I had two 10oz frozen margaritas.

I appreciated the decor and I’d go back.

Bubba’s 33 puts on a great meal. Ben who runs the restaurant really talks to guests and understands what makes good food and a welcoming restaurant atmosphere. The burgers are our favorite, but we want to try the pizza too. If we have one suggestion to make the place better, it’s to turn the music down a tad. It’s quite loud inside for someone with anxiety like me.

I really enjoyed this place and I had no idea it was in the Texas Roadhouse family! My husband & I visited on a Saturday night and it was busy but the server was awesome and on top of it in the bar area! Food was delicious - probably the best garlic knots I have had in Gastonia area!! Highly recommend putting yourself of the waitlist online before you go. Will be back in the future!

This was our first visit to Bubba’s in Gastonia. The wait staff (Joe) and manager (Jade) were very delightful and engaging. Our food was outstanding (burger + veggie pizza) When the food is good, and staff is even better, you have customers for life. Thank you Bubba’s ! We’ll see you again

Like always, really good. Jordan our waitress was phenomenal.

Decent place to eat. The food was good, but it's chain food so we managed our expectations. It is general American food - nothing fancy, but a few unique items. The hot fries were hot, but very flavorful. The service was a little slow but not bad. The atmosphere was a little loud - similar to a Buffalo Wild Wings - but if you're prepared for that it's not overbearing. Now that we know what the place is all about, we will likely return.

Our waitress, Haley, was absolutely amazing! We loved the food a lot, the atmosphere was great, but the music was just way, way to loud! We had to yell at each other & eventually just stopped talking. Music was great it just needs to be turned down some.

Kia gave us great service tonight. She had an ornate Christmas ornament on top of her head and was rockin' the look!! This was my first meal in a week since I'd been very ill. I couldn't believe that I had finished every bite!! That doesn't even happen on a GOOD day. "Welcome to NC" to their new manager, Ryan. He's friendly, polite, helpful, personable, and a great asset to this store. Kids might like the fact that he says snow follows him. Maybe there'll be a few snow days off from school in the near future?? My broccoli moment will forever bond us. Stop in and welcome Ryan to our beautiful NC.
*** Second visit July 2023 update; This was our second visit. The burgers were very good. They definitely filled up the hungry bellies of the three men I was with! The problem with the service was that JAZ forgot my frozen Mango Rita until I finally reminded her about 20 minutes l later. Once it finally arrived, I was happy. The food also took quite a while to get to us, but was very flavorful and worth the wait. All the guys ordered the jalapeño burger, and I had the bacon burger with cheese. The fire fries were enjoyed by us all. Pickels were crisp and just as tangy as we like them. Come here when you want to sit and enjoy your dinner guests and not feel rushed. We'll be back.

The places surprised us, because we expected a bare bones burger joint. There was a bar, a ton of TVs, an extensive menu and comfortable booths. We had an excellent server, and our food rated 10 out of 10! We really enjoyed our visit tonight and we will definitely be back!

This place is great. The service is on point! Food was amazing. I had the habanero burger with fire fries. Delish!! Wife got the spicy chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. Delish. We got the Jimmy V pizza to go. I highly recommend this place!! Can’t wait to come back.

The food and drinks are awesome! You must try the onion rings! I aye them too quick and forgot to take a pic.

I've gone here many times. Always a good experience. Large variety of food options and all of the cocktails are amazing. I just wish it was a little cheaper for what it is as lunch can easily get to $65 for two people.
