CJ's Barbecue

First time experience went quite well. The server was very friendly and a great host. The food came out very quickly (about five minutes after we ordered). The servers were always making sure we had full cups to drink . We got to try the small chopped tray, fries, hush puppies, bread, and red slaw. All were delicious. The BBQ sauce came warm inside of a coffee mug. :)

I would recommend if possible to bring cash with you to pay for your meal. There is about 4% charge when using a card to pay.

When we arrived, it was a seat yourself and a server will come and check in on you.

As usual I had to have a chopped barbecue sandwich. Choice of red or white slaw and a pile of about an inch and a half of que. Excellent flavor and not the least bit dried out.The meat and 3 vegs will get a try next time. When I saw a plate of meatloaf at least 3" thick go by i was sure. The building was a little run down but the service and quality of food more than made up for that.

We showed up 15 minutes prior to closing not realizing that they were closing at 2 as the website said they close at 8. We got up to leave and apologized for coming in at closing time to which the server Pam, said no no you can stay! She was super sweet.

Super amazing food, the waitress was a sweetheart, and I had a great time visiting with my dad and uncle who grew up eating there. They told me old stories about the restaurant that made it come alive. a great place for a quick lunch of you're passing through. Oh yeah, when I say quick, I mean quick. The kitchen sure does know how to push a meal to the front real quick!

The kitchen was slow, but the food was excellent. New owners so it was probably an adjustment. Our server was extra nice.

First time at CJ's and it won't be our last. Sydney was so friendly from the time she greeted us, through her service, and checking us out. The meatloaf and the chicken n dumplings specials were great, like Mom would make. We had Betty's homemade pineapple cake for dessert, a perfect end to our meal. We will return!❤

I took a chance on this place based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. People here are very nice, and service was good. The food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Love going to this restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. You get your monies worth no matter what you order. The specials they have each day are always good, especially on Friday when its sea food.

By far one of the best restaurant in town. Family run, cares about their customers and the food that they are putting out. All the waitress are friendly and helpful when it comes to the needs of the customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I drive all the way from Winston Salem just to order their cheeseburgers. Their meat is tasty and their lettuce and tomatoes are fresh. Their french fries are also very good. Plus, the food actually stays hot until the drive back. If I want a good cheeseburger - this is the only place I go!

As always, it was excellent. The country style steak was fork tender, the meatloaf full of flavor, and the foot long hotdog to die for! I always get their sweet tea to go and if I'm lucky enough to be there on a Thurs, I'll bring home a couple of chicken and dumpling orders. We always enjoy CJs.

This is the best place to eat in Davie County and beyond. I've never gotten a bad meal or bad service. They have such a wide variety of food to choose from and their seafood on Friday night is GREAT.

I really enjoyed my visit to CJ's Barbecue. It's not fancy, but it has the feel of a small town restaurant that keeps expenses low so they can keep costs low and serve good food to the people around them. I had the Barbecue sandwich. The sauce came in a mug on the side. It was initially a little runnier than I prefer, but the flavor was very good. The best part is that the price was right. You should check it out if you're nearby.

Great place for family and friends. Best breakfast special around. 3 eggs, 1 meat, choice of hasbrowns or gravy. With a biscuit or toast for under 5 dollars. Drink not included in cost
