Alejo was outstanding in his knowledge of the Black Mountain and greater area and found a number of homes for us to look at. He was very patient in helping us look at about 15 homes over a few months and had good advice on the homes. After we did agree on a home he was very responsive to follow up on details, and also has a good set of contacts for going through the buying and loan process. Alejo Rottenberg helped me with an offer on a super cute bungalow in BMT. I contacted him on a Sunday, and he got me the data I needed to determine a fair offer. We viewed on Monday and I was closed inside 30 days with a mortgage. He has a super team of pros that helped pull all details together in record time. Every step went very smoothly! While living in the Northeast US we decided to move closer to family in the South. We chose to start looking in the Asheville area and were very lucky to be introduced to Rachel Sudnik at Greybeard Realty.

Rachel worked with us off and on over a 5 month period to help us find the perfect place to relocate. She patiently took the time to get to know our likes and dislikes and was extremely accommodating when were we able to schedule trips to look at property and houses. Throughout the 5 months, she e-mailed us numerous MLS postings to review. She has always been very responsive to our questions, from the initial house and land hunting, to the negotiations and through the final closing. One of the things we really appreciate about Rachel is that she has a robust knowledge and enthusiasm for the fauna and floral of the area. She pointed out specific plants and trees at each site and that gave us a greater appreciation for the area as well as made the house hunting more enjoyable.

My experience with Gray Beard rentals was "so much lESS" than satifactory!!!
Due a lack of communication on GrayBeard's part, GrayBeard "BREACHED" the contract with our family by cancelleing our reservation at the "lAST" second with no notice to us. After inquiring about cancellation due to the recent mud slides in the area, We were told they would try to re-rent the home,contingent upon a re-rental for our
weekend reservation,and would let us know if they were successful or not. That was two weeks before we were scheduled to arrive. We received an email 3 days before our scheduled check-in date. The email included instructions on how to enter the rental home(pin codes and such). Based on the email and no "notifaction of cancellation"
from Gray Beard, I drove 4 hours in 90+ degreetemps and after 1 hour of detours (so confusing we never found old fort), I stop to call Grey Beard and was informed the property had been closed for repairs by the owners. The contract was "BREACHED" and "no consideration" was given for the 4 hours of my time and the 12 hour drive the friends
and family from NY took thinking we would have a good time in Old Fort NC. Money and time spent on prepairing for the stay and gas wasted by all of us has left a bitter taste in my heart.
If you choose to use Gray Beard ensure you have a place ready before you leave home. I will never use or recommend this rental company never, ever, ever, ever!!!!!!!
